Great work mate. The guys out there like warren are crucial to not only educate people but to lead the way with the proper management process. Brilliant video 👏
This is beyond superb! We have exactly this issue North of the Border. Naturescot calling for massive culls, however zero input from the Scottish Govt to promote venison consumption. Absolutely bonkers scenario of having a huge unlimited supply of cheap organic protein with a limited Domestic market
Great first video to kick things off Warren! Excellent information for those that don't truly understand the issue with deer in this country and the numbers that are out there. Keep the content coming matey!!
Great video and very informative especially to those who might not realise what goes into stalking and that it’s not just a sport or all about trophies, the deer box is a great set up! Keep up the good work, we need more places like this🦌👌👍
Top marks to you Warren, a very informative video I must say, thank you for putting it out there. When I left the UK over thirty years ago, there wasn't a deer problem. I shot my first deer on a country roadside by Packington Hall with a 410 with a solid. I started shotgun hunting in 1967 as a 14-year-old, I didn't start rifle shooting until 2007 with muzzle loader. I moved to centrefire in about 2020 when my partner complained that I was stalking into under 100m. After watching many videos from the UK on deer hunting, I was very tempted in returning to my hometown in Warwickshire. Hunting in NZ is so different to that in England, nearly every video I watch, the shooter is carrying shooting sticks lol. I think if I could start my life again, I'd go into animal management, probably a gamekeeper mainly pheasants, having been a shotgun shooter/competitor, or as I'm now more into four-legged hunting (deer, Tahr, Chamois and goats etc), I could go into deer management. Have you thought about doing a video on field dressing a deer?
Thanks for the comment! Coming out to NZ for a few months start of the year so might end up doing an episode out there. Will keep field dressing in mind for a future video with Warren.
@@TheWildNarratives If you are coming down to the South Island, I could put you up if required. That's not a ploy to get to go for a shot with you, as my old legs would restrict you somewhat. Anyway, I'm coastal mid Canterbury if that's of any help.
Excellent video, very well narrated with some great points made. Totally agree with everything mentioned. Keep spreading the word and one day we may all reap the benefits👍
Many thanks, there’s more episodes in the pipeline. Warrens a top bloke, very experienced and definitely knows his stuff when it comes to deer management. Glad you enjoyed
Love this mate. As a new deer stalker, everything you said is exactly how I feel about it and you couldn’t have said any better how I feel about it all.
Fantastic video mate. Well shot and well narrated. It saddens me to know deer are culled and not eaten. Venison should be in every school caneen and introduce to people early on. I order venison whenever it's on the menu and encourage others to try it. Low fat, and naturally occurring around us... i'd include pigeon in this 'need to introduce' catagory too. Keep it up.
Fantastic video! You made a comment about offering stalking to people without access to land. I'm one of them! How can I get in touch to arrange some stalking?
Brilliant video, great naunce! Im generally curious what are your thoughts on reintroduction of wolf's in the UK for supporting nature, biodiversity, venison numbers, etc, etc I know its not popular but i wonder your thoughts as a professional deer manager
Thanks, glad you liked it. We actually recorded a piece on this but it didn’t make the Final Cut, keep your eyes peeled i may post a snippet on instagram in the near future @wild.narratives
Yep good video but why keep blaming the government for making venison attractive to buy for consumers. We should be doing that by getting it onto the media more as healthy option. Don't blame the government for something we can solve.
I grew up knowing Warren, absolutely sensational chap and knowing his passion and seeing it portrayed through this was so good to see. chapeau
Keep up the great work keep the videos coming 🎉
Bloody hell that was good, well done all involved
Excellent video. Can't wait for more to follow!
Thanks Nick, glad you enjoyed. More coming soon
Great video, very interesting, I’m hoping to get in on this, currently waiting on my FAC
Great work mate. The guys out there like warren are crucial to not only educate people but to lead the way with the proper management process. Brilliant video 👏
Couldn’t agree more! Appreciate that, glad you enjoyed mate.
Mean video lads, what a spot

Thanks Stephen, glad you liked it! More to follow
Great video - absolutely spot on and exactly why we do deer management and how it should be done.
Great first video to kick things off Warren! Excellent information for those that don't truly understand the issue with deer in this country and the numbers that are out there. Keep the content coming matey!!
Glad you enjoyed! Hopefully we can get the message out to the wider audience

Spot on! Top job warren, telling the whole and balanced story!
Very well filmed video Warren. Mike's films are always excellent too and I've been to The Woodsman a couple of times.

Why is so hard to find Venison to eat, surely if we ate more Deer and I imagine Rabbits they wouldn't eat all the regeneration.
Fantastic video! You made a comment about offering stalking to people without access to land. I'm one of them! How can I get in touch to arrange some stalking?
Absolutely brilliant video thanks. Yes we are all passionate about what we do. May I ask which Kuiu jacket you wear?
Many thanks. I believe Warren was wearing the Kuiu Guide DCS
Well done. That's what's needed in Ireland but no one listens....

would love to see a bow hunt
Maybe in a future episode! However bow hunting is illegal in the UK so it’ll have to be filmed elsewhere.
