Hi. Ive only owned old 80's/90's Tenerre etc. Ive waited years and years for a Bike like this. Your review is fantastic and honest. So i bought an XE. Best bike in my life. Im 6'2 and 59. Love it. Everything is great. Engineering amazing. Sometimes i just sit in the garage and look at the details.👍👍
Having owned one of these for a few months, I also don’t find the cat all that hot, I welcome it’s warmth, but come the summer that may be a different story! I don’t think I’ve gone to 1st gear on any bike of my mine in a rolling corner like you have (15mins40), leave it in 2nd/3rd and let the torque pull you out! It’s good to see you enjoy it, coming from a street triple rs, I love the scrambler, the sound and the attention it gets!
If you’re a fan of the Triumph Scrambler, read Forgotten Road by Randall Arthur. The whole last half of the book highlights the Scrambler in numerous, fantastic adventures. The book is a work of fiction, but supposedly the adventures in the book are all based on Arthur’s real-life experiences. Randall Arthur is the author of the bestselling novel Wisdom Hunter. On a side note, Forgotten Road is a faith-based novel.
Great final review, couldn't help smiling along with you, the big daft grin on your face showing the love for the triumph Great set of vlogs on a what can only be said is a fantastic bike
I got the Steve McQueen, dream machine, I smile every time I look at it. So much fun to ride. Get the small bar end mirrors from TEC Bike Parts USA and then it’s perfect.
Mate I bought the XC and I love it - the pipes do get warm but I’ve adapted my riding position so that’s it’s a non issue now that said in Winter I like the warm pipes as they do keep me warm (right leg only) great review
Great review...I've enjoyed your ongoing reflections on the Scrambler. Just seems like a good all round bike..and looks great too!. Now if you can review the Ducati Desert Sled and the BMW Urban GS next i can make my mind up!!...Cheers, Steve
Course it is spicy lad it`s a Triumph, awesome bikes and very reliable . Triumph just need to reel in parts pricing the same with extras . I have the sprint st 1050 on a 55 plate love that machine brother. That bike there fits you perfectly Triumph should consider a long time loaner for you fantastic advertisement opportunity.
Great looking bike...Why such a small tach/speedometer?? Looks hard to read...Would like to see it lightened up...Take one disc/caliper off front end... Is there a tool kit? Kick start only option...
great episodes on this bike, as an older (50) learner and about to get my DAS done, im drawn to the scrambler. but with never owning a bike its a toss up between a Mutt 250 being less powerful or the scrambler 900, which maybe too much power! have you been on the Mutts or plan too?
I thought this was a mega tall bike, just been looking on the Triumph website and it has an 840mm seat height out the box, which is tall, but they do a low seat knocking 25mm off the height, which actually gets it in that nice spot of 815mm.... *ponders*.... .... doh, was looking at the XC not the XE, even with the low seat, the XE is still taller than my V85 and just as heavy, plus has vastly less range... darn it!
Thanks for the review. Im most likly grabbing one of these. I fell in love with it. How is the Wind when riding? Im coming of a BMW G650GS and wind is bloody horrible on that thing.
The equipment of the XE is much higher than the XC. I measure 182 cm and my feet are almost flat on the ground, you have to see if you can put your foot down without losing your balance.Quality views, if you can, take the XE
I’m 5ft 9, 32 inch inseam. The XE is my next bike. I ride a DR650 with a taller seat height then this, lol. I sat on a XE, and it feels low in comparison- 1 foot on the brake pedal, the other flat to the deck. Both feet on the ground, slight lift of my heels. People shouldn’t stress over the seat height, it’s narrow in the centre, so it feels lower then a bike with a fatter centre
Maybe I missed it but apart from the specs I don't recall the suspension getting a mention. It's one of the main reasons I'm interested in this bike. Most of the comments elsewhere seem to focus on it not living up to expectations. What's your verdict on the boingers for road use Spicy?
I talked about it more in a couple of the other videos. I did not adjust it as where it was, was perfect IMO. It seemed to work great on the country roads and off road. As i did not adjust it I don't really know where in the range of adjustment it was.
I am very interested in this bike but I have read about reliability issues. Maybe they are just a small minority of them. But maybe the exhaust would feel hot in Thailand.
I have owned a 1200xe for 3 years now the factory exhaust does 100% BURN YOUR LEG!! Unless you are riding in an English winter it will fry your right leg into crispy chicken. I gave up trying to add more shielding and put a low Zard on mine then spent ages trying to shut it up they are super loud. But be warned the factory exhaust will burn. That is my only criticism love the bike otherwise.
It sounds like you've really fallen for this bike. I can see why, it's got a vintage look with modern tech and as you say it can do a bit of everything.
It's like you're looking for the one word to describe the type of bike it is the whole video, have you ever heard of a "scrambler" it's a type of motorcycle 🤣🤣🤡
Hopefully this storm passes without causing your area any damage down there spicy🤞 I saw the Ship Inn on the RTE news here in Ireland and its taking a bit of a battering. Its very stormy up here in irelands North West Coast.

OK, now’s the time to approach Triumph UK to see if you can purchase the demo bike at the end of the year 🏍🤪👍!

This bike was in my top 3 for a long time. I ended up getting a Road King Special but this thing still catches my eye. Thanks for the review.

Hey spicy! Out of this bike and the bobber, which one did you find yourself having more fun on?
quite different bikes, but for me i think it would be the XE over the bobber for fun.
oooo nice - picking up mine this week.
Have fun!
1 minute review, GO!
Fippen pipes put me off, is there an option to move them?
Great looking bike...Why such a small tach/speedometer?? Looks hard to read...Would like to see it lightened up...Take one disc/caliper off front

Is there a tool kit?
Kick start only option...
why would you take one brake disc off the front ?
You're a good rider!

900 is powerful but very manageable. Powerband is beginner friendly and the bike isn’t too heavy. Took it out for a test ride and was very pleased
I have a street twin as my first big bike and it’s been magnificent

@@ginoasci ended up on the tiger 900 rally pro. Love it.
Good review
great piece of kit
Great review as always looks a brilliant bike 🏍👍
Great review, I am 6’3 and thinking of the XC. I won’t be taking it off road other than country lanes, so is it worth getting the XE??
I have yet to try the smaller ones so I don't think I can help on that front yet!

Decat it. Mine is 60% cooler. Fantastic machine.
It’s scary to think this bike has a bigger engine than my car
Nice. But about 1000cc more than I need. 😁
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
