    • @ilovefunnyamv2nd
      @ilovefunnyamv2nd 6 років тому +5

      @Easy Peasy technically, the method has nothing to do with growing local, but the kratky method takes out all the difficulty of hydroponics no pumps no flood and drain timers. The rockwool is terrible for you though, so dont harvest too close to the cube, but its also a great inert media

    If you love the flavor of cilantro there is another plant that tastes exactly like cilantro just a much stronger cilantro flavor. I love the idea of hydroponics I feel like it can take up less space than pots and I love that you can see the roots in the Mason jars

    My first attempt at growing cilantro ended in disaster... as in not a single seed sprouted lol. Basil came out great though! I think i'll give it another shot this winter!

    Love your videos! I hear you about germinating cilantro seeds they take forever 🙄 but worth it. You make great videos for kids and adults alike. Respect ✊😎✌️

      They actually don't. Or at least, they shouldn't. That's the thing, people think that because Cilantro loves cool, shady places, they don't give the seeds the proper conditions to germinate. Cilantro seeds germinate in 3-4 days MAX at 80-85F. Only herb germinating faster is Basil. If you ever have trouble germinating Cilantro, its because you are trying it too cold.

    I like how you used the bottom part of a tote as a hummity dome. I too, grow my herbs in mason jars.
