Listen people save you some money...I purchased the Blizzard Pearl White, BLACK interior because I deal with makeup (but also comes in RED interior) 2021 Highlander XSE Sport, the grill is amazing, the grill is different from the other Highlanders and it comes with what you need. SUNROOF INCLUDED! All this extra stuff on platinum is not needed, check out the XSE, thank me later! GREAT video ! See what I'm talking about at 12:41...what color was that XSE? Looks like CHROME...
We bought Blue Print Highlander Platinum last week with black leather seats. We love it so much. So comfortable and huge inside. We had an old Highlander SE before but this Highlander Platinum is the excellent car for us.
Few possible improvements (not third row space since this is a small 3 row suv) - Just wish the Highlander platinum had the option for the 3 person bench. The 2017 refresh allowed you to get the limited or limited platinum with the 8 passenger capacity. - Also the Highlander needs 3rd row USB ports. - Make the digital rear view mirror the only auto dimming mirror. The Chevy traverse in mid trims offers a digital rear mirror
I personally like 2021 Highlander Platinum in Blizzard Pearl or Blueprint! Looks awesome! Hopefully soon I can get one! The Glazed Caramel interior is very awesome color!
That’s not true about the captain chairs. I have a 2021 Highlander Limited with the Platinum package. So I have the the birds eye view, large screen, leather seats, heated and cool seats, captains chairs etc. I don’t have the panoramic sunroof though.
The Highlander has also been available in Europe since 2021. It's only available as a hybrid because in Europe everyone is clamoring for eco-friendly alternatives. We have three models, Business, Executive and Luxury. The Executive is about the same as the Platinum and that's what we ordered. It's coming May 18th and we're looking forward to it. We have been driving Toyota for 25 years and have never been disappointed.
So the clearance sensors are only on the platinum? They don’t care about the safety of drivers who don’t have the platinum? Brands other that Toyota are offering that as standard on all their models. I still love Toyota though.
Anyone drive this car long distance and could telle how the seat comfort is. My last 2010 Highland Limited was outright very tough and no give. Gave everyone a literal pain in the rear. Very uncomfortable.
I have a 2020 Highlander Platinum. Drove 900 miles straight thru in 13 hours. The car was very comfortable. I had a 2011 Highlander which was less comfortable on 600 mile trips. I was surprised how good I felt after the 13 hour trip. We bought this car for trips like this and I am not disappointed. Averaged just under 27 mpg. I love the comfort of this car for driver and passenger.
Thank you for the comment. The intent on this video was not to do a full review on each trim and model Rav4. The intent was to solely discuss what the key factors are that customers should consider before making the choice on a RAV4 hybrid or a gd model. Also - for Canada there is no such thing as a platinum model. Again thank you for watching!
Hey! Sorry I thought your comment was from another video! And I do not believe in Canadian spec that we have an adaptive headlight specific to platinum grade.
Also FYI. The front camera by the emblem is not exclusive just to the platinum. The 360 camera is also on limited trims if you get the optional 12.3 inch touchscreen
@@ToyotaWorld when you open the door of the platinum does the door sill that says highlander light up the words Highlander or is it just a strip of light? I had them installed on my XSE and only a strip of light comes on.
The XSE offers captain seats in the second row as well. I gave up watching after you said he had to go with the platinum to get this feature. He should really be more educated on a topic if you work at Toyota and are making content about a brand.
Lol its funny that they finally added video rear mirror when GM have them on there cars for almost 6 year now Toyota is always behind the screen also doesn’t seem working that fast 🤦🏻♂️
Is Limited Platinum a 3 row vehicle? How come you don't cover that at all... Toyota would do well to get a digital dash in the top trim at least and replace that ugly cheap shifter with push buttons.
Toyota mainly sell body-on-chassis SUVs in the Philippines, such as the Fortuner, Prado and Land Cruiser. These are generally more capable off-road and more robust than the unibody models such as the Highlander and RAV4. Body-on-chassis SUVs are more suitable for the Philippines where some of the roads can be challenging, even in the cities. I'm thinking Manila during typhoon season.

I’m looking at the new 2022 Highlander Bronze series. Good combination of appearance and accommodations, and killer mileage for a good size SUV.
It would’ve been nice to see the trunk space just a little more information about the seats in the back

seats are a problem for me, short , no thigh support extenders like in previous gen. Seat bottoms too short. Fix it Toyota.

Its probably because he is in canada and the trim models are a little bit different than in the US
