An extremely helpful video guide, thank you. :) You should post about it in some ds forums/ ds3 subreddit. I have a feeling, more people would want to see and learn from it.
I still don't have a good strategy for parrying the greatsword knights, and i usually hardcore backstab fish the spear knight. But the longsword lothric knight have got to be one of the easiest enemies in the game to parry.
yo man, thanks so much for these vids. Its helping get better at killing these guys. Hopefully one day I can do SL1. Gotta practice lol. The spear knight is the hardest.
It seems you are going to make videos for parrying every enemy in the game :D You can add subtitles to your videos on UA-cam, it can help to explain the timing and moves better.
not intending to do every enemy! just the more interesting/useful ones.....anyway, I have other commitments coming up so I am not sure how many more I can do :(
I can parry the swords alright, but the goddamn spears are giving me nightmares, I'm not able to parry a single attack from them. Hopefully this video will help
Hello! I can use this spell with a quick ring swap to the Priestess Ring(+5 Faith). Combined with the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring, its very useful for getting through enemies & entire areas undetected. Though I did not use it in this case, I have it equipped by default.
you can parry the first attack, but its kinda tricky(both positioning and timing), I could not work out how to do it consistently. Easier to parry the second.
@@haplo8703 I can parry the first fast attack consistently, however I can't figure out a tell to see if the slow one will come out instead so it's a gamble. For now it seems that when he is walking towards you with shield down it usually is possible to bait the fast one if you sprint towards him.
There is 0% strategy for these guys, it’s just swing when they don’t do the shield bash which they use more than they’re actual weapon, legit makes me the saltiest mf
@@abhishekdhoriyani2312 lmao it's so true. Greatswords are so overpowered in ds. I was using the katana before and it's like a 2/10 compared to even the claymore.

no problem!
Thank you for this guide! really appreciated!!!!

Greatsword knights only have 1-2 attacks that are parriable. if you wait for these they are relatively ok to parry - just don't misread the attacks!
This video was very helpful thank you
hello Pix, nice video :) You are the DkSIII parry master!
if I have seen this video earlier, I would not have to spend an hour to figure out that 2nd attack of the long sword Knight is simple to parry

@@kris-gb8jt im getting better at telegraphing his first move via parry and even his two handed attack, but the others are insane

Same thing. Spear knights are the reason im here :-)
Just wondering why you have hidden body equipped but don't meet the stat requirement? I've seen it in multiple videos of yours, makes me curious

Did I get this right and lothric knights with spear cannot be parried when they attack with two fast thrusts?
