After doing a few hundred shows (in about 16 mths) with A.Morisette - he wanted to be a member of a Rock Band - & Dave Grohl was already pretty wealthy after Nirvana "died" - so these were extraordinary times for all these young people involved (see Back & Forth Rockumentary) - Imo, FF have, & are, writing Rock music/songs with strong melodies - They are in a league of their own.
Re: Queen at Live Aid- no lights, no sound check, no frills...but their roadies DID change the soundboard before they went on, so the were louder than any other band that day.
