I miss Anna so much.. but then.. the new singer and the new gurdyst are so good that Im okay with Anna having her own band with the other guys.. everyone is doing what they like!
Anna now has Cellar Darling and she is now way more creative with her voice and songwriting. you really need to check out this band. their 2nd album the spell is a effing masterpiece
And Eluvietie is just chilling like it's as easy a breathing. Pop is just a money making machine, that's its real purpose. I'll give some of the hip hop folks slack though, because some of them use auto tune as an effect on purpose and not in the subtle modern pro tools way, non musicians dont notice how unnoticable and sneaky auto tune and intonation correct has gotten. A good studio engineer with new Pro Tools can make a cat having an orgasm sound like Pavarotti.
even after years, i still remember all the words. i dont know what they mean, but i know them. just one of those bands that sticks with you forever i guess.
This!! This is exactly why this is my favorite band ever!!! Their sound is just so unique. How cool to see them play acoustic in this setting. Anna's voice amiright!!
I love the flute out of all the instruments used in this song. It gives such feeling that can't be express. This is just way too good gives me goosebumps everytime.
Metal is the only genre of music that you can incorporate any instrument in it and it still works you try doing that with hip hop or r'n'b and it will sound out of place.
I'd like to go back in time 2000 years with this video and show it to Gaullish/Helvetic tribes. i think they'd either love it or burn me at the stake for witchcraft
You're thinking of *Medieval* Europeans, for burning you at the stake lol They'd probably be very confused, think the Gaulish word choice was weird, but perhaps warm up to it a bit-
Celtic people won't burn you for witchcraft, they weren't Christians. Although they would definitely be afraid chances are they would take you as god sent.
Yeah, the three got together to create a new band called "cellar darling". It's nice we can still here her amazing voice, but it sux cause it will never have that sound eluveitie perfected.
There are some very beautiful Anna Murphy/Cellar Darling songs but generally i think she's not a good song writer and Cellar Darling kind of lacks some inspiration... but maybe I'm wrong. (hopefully! :)
@@Kevin.7.ame. Been hook to Inis Mona in 2011 for the first time, and I never looked back. I like to share a small story. I was listening to Slania on a constant loop in 2011, and one day I emailed Glanzmann giving us the divine of the music no one could ever give it to us and wish him a very happy birthday too. He replied me after couple of hours thanking me and supporting his band. It was a great gesture. Huge fucking fan of Eluveitie.
@AmbrishSaxena12 dude, that's the first song I heard by them and got me into growls, too. And that's pretty cool! Sad that he's the only original member, tho.
One of the most beautiful languages I have ever heard. And that medieval instrument (in Spanish it's called sanfoña/na), once you know its sound you identify it in all the songs.
@@HeavyMetalGamingHD Everything I read about the "sanfoña" placed it between the centuries XIII And XIV. Becoming very popular during the Renaissance and therefore Modern Era.
First things first, sounds absolutely amazing, I already know i'm gonna keep coming back to listen to this! Now, to my agenda, the lady playing the fiddle is holding the bow part of the way up on the stick. I've researched it and i can't find any info on this style of hold, does anyone know anything?
danfento I found it odd, since she isn't using the typical bow used for the style. However, to answer your question, the way she holds her bow originates from the Baroque period and style of playing.I'm in orchestra and play cello-occasionally my director tells us to play in a baroque style(despite not having the right type of instrument or bow for it) . For cellos, it means no endpin lol
Does anybody know what key and scale Chrigel is playing? He's the guy in the back playing the lead pattern on the Mandola. Capo'd on the third fret I believe.
I just love Anna Murphy. So beautiful with a voice of an angel
So bad she's no longer with the band :(
Why did she leave?
@@mtinfinity7845 Artistic divergence from what I read. Fabienne is a really good singer too! And their new hurdy gurdy player is really good too.
@@vanderoth no she left because her friend Merlin, the former drummer got kicked out without consulting Anna or Ivo - thus, the three left
Eluveitie is one of the only bands that can pull off Folk and Metal both perfectly.
Even better than the studio version !
Eluveitie, you fucking rule
Glubzi The Almighty I was just thinking that xD Anna's voice is so perfect, a studio isn't needed
Jimmy Adams yeah... damn shame, that...
they ruled
no more :'(
for the best singers studio is contra-productive.... :)
NightCore Reality they still do
I miss Anna so much.. but then.. the new singer and the new gurdyst are so good that Im okay with Anna having her own band with the other guys.. everyone is doing what they like!

To show to the pop singers -> the proof that autotune is useless when you have talent
Exactly exactly..!!

I need a whole unplugged concert and album now please
even after years, i still remember all the words. i dont know what they mean, but i know them.
just one of those bands that sticks with you forever i guess.
Her voice is soooo beautiful ;-; i want more music like it
i love this song, i love this video
the years pass but this song will always be beautiful
Brilliant :3
+helvetion the first time i hear this song was with your cover ;)
+Francisco Javier Rodríguez García Really? : o That's cool!
+helvetion the same situation :) I loved your cover and it was the first time I listened to "Brictom"
+helvetion Same, haha
+helvetion so play this!!!
I guess the bass player had to record this.
+THE RAVEN no... not at all
+THE RAVEN its a sunwheel from Gotland, Sweden
Actually a friend of mine owns an acoustic bass, and it is awesome !
Well Merlin isn't playing either (Insert here a joke about how stupid bassists are). Too bad as his cardboardbox was epic!
lol
This is what perfection sounds like.
my sister always wanted every videos like this from eluveitie. awesome
Her voice is so soothing and it's so BEAUTIFUL!!!
This!! This is exactly why this is my favorite band ever!!! Their sound is just so unique. How cool to see them play acoustic in this setting. Anna's voice amiright!!
Worked with the band for one of their live performance sets. They are exactly as this in real life. Incredibly humble and beautiful human beings 🥰🥰
I think i actually really prefer Brictom as an acoustic folk song as opposed to as a metal one. Love it :)
In fairness it's not a metal song to begin with, but I do like the sound of this version too.
Glad I stumbled across this gem. I love unplugged versions, really shows off a band's talent behind all the studio work.
I miss this group as it was. They are still great, but I miss this particular group of musicians.
I just love her beautiful voice❤️❤️❤️
It takes me somewhere i Don't know😍
to the ancient Gallia maybe) well, that is definetly whence they've come.
"So what do you do for a living?"
"I play in a metal band."
"Oh wow, that sounds really cool. What instrument do you play?"
"The flute."
"Oh. Oookay."
villie86 imagine playing the harp in a death metal band
I love the flute out of all the instruments used in this song. It gives such feeling that can't be express. This is just way too good gives me goosebumps everytime.
The new singer in the Eluveitie plays the harp.
So sick of this comment, every one of their video's has someone saying this comment, word for word
Metal is the only genre of music that you can incorporate any instrument in it and it still works you try doing that with hip hop or r'n'b and it will sound out of place.
I've listened to this a 1000 times. I wish you would come back, Anna. Love you all❤❤❤
So beautiful. I love this song.
la mejor line up que tuvo Eluveitie
Wow, just amazing. That's real skill!
She hit every single fucking note! It's just jaw dropping!

Take me with you please if you go lol
You are my fav band
The electric stuff is great, but I like their unplugged music too!

Absolutely masterpiece.
I've been into Folk music since 2010, but just knew this band earlier this year... wish could turn back time.

Does anybody knows what is the name of the instrument that Anna plays?
It's hurdy-gurdy.
huere schön!
what is this song about? i cant find an accurate translation and i really want to know what shes saying
Pedro Picasso. It translate directly to Charm from Gaulish.
The lyrics are taken from a Gaulish "defixio" (curse) tablet. It is about someone cursing 2 women
