Nowadays I think it’s overly disliked but the attention it got at release was BIG. Game got just the right amount of attention for the amount of work Treyarch was able to put into it (I will say to the end of time if this was a standalone call of duty, it would’ve been a classic)
Idk why this comment section is saying Cold War is slept on? 4th best selling Call of Duty to date…behind MW19, MW3, and the original Black Ops. Game was just “good enough” sadly.
I’m replying to myself cause I know somebody is gonna say I didn’t play it enough, I did the super Easter egg, I got the watch, I got my weapons to start off purple, I even fished for a Raygun - the game is unpolished and deserved better at the time of its release. Can’t change that now unfortunately.
Very fair points, from my pov i just think it was the classic cod cycle where the round based maps weren't as appreciated while they were being currently released, and then afterwards they started getting more love once people got vanguard 🤮

I used this gun all the time in cold war, but i put aether camo on it and used the master craft attatchments for it. It was great
