It is our honor to welcome our esteemed friend Desmaine “Des” Jackson, RNC-INPT-OB to The Laborhood Podcast! In this episode we discuss the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression, baby blues, and postpartum psychosis, and offer our informed suggestions on related therapy options, medications, and when to seek help if you’re experiencing any prolonged negative emotions post-delivery. We hope that this episode is informative, impactful, validating, and helps mamas and families feel less isolated should any of these situations be your current or past lived experience. Know that there is always help available and that you don’t have to deal with challenging times postpartum alone. We thank Des for sharing her story and we’ll see you back for our Season Finale in two weeks! Ahh! We can’t believe we’re here already.
