if i use the middle part of a tongue for single attack usualy.. Does double tonguing require attacking with TIP of tongue? Is this essential in your experience? Or double tonguing with middle part of tongue is not possible?

I haven't done it since 7 years ago Or should I keep working on my single-tonguing , it's tempting I wasn't able to tongue an accompanying passage in Mendelssohn violin concerto 1st movement (I'm sure you know where), it was very humiliating to me, because our guest violinist hated that.... Why is it always Mendelssohn, did he really know how to write for the clarinet?
Thanks for the video. I’ve been challenged by the clarinet solo in the Vaughn Williams Norfolk Rhapsody. I’ll try double tonguing which might help.
