Many moons ago(think it was 80's) a group (10) of us went to Helsinki for the world dog show. The airport was nearly a shed & the hostess tossed me a salad roll(wrapped in cling wrap) i was in the window seat. Needless to say the memory has stayed with me. Great to see some things have changed,
Good morning Dennis, I greatly enjoyed the travel vlog that you did for this video. This is a side of you that we rarely get to see, so it was a treat mate! God bless you and thanks for showing me the stunning views of what our Lord has created on this beautiful Sunday morning here in Woodsville, New Hampshire.
Dennis, thank you. I have watched a number of your videos and have always appreciated your observations and commentary. This one is pretty special.. Safe travels!
Great video Dennis! I really enjoyed this one and hope to fly above the Arctic Circle someday! Cheers mate! 🥂 Finnair also looks excellent! Also I must point out the joke “A man from Down Under is On Top!” 😅 -Caleb’s Aviation
Dennis would love to head to this part of the world. So vastly different in so many ways to here. Helsinki airport looked very good. I’m sure you were given a shopping list for Marimekko! Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. X
I've been above the arctic circle via passenger ship - Tromso, Hammerfest. We had a day trip to the Sami area - very interesting people. Inland it can get to -50C in winter. Always love a Dennis B video. Curious about the Bastard Burgers!
Great video Dennis went to NordKapp back in 2019, quite an incredible experience standing at the top of continental Europe at midnight in broad daylight! Pretty darn cold though! Those prices from the buy on board menu shown particularly for alcohol was just a reminder how expensive Scandinavia especially Norway can be though!
You remind me that the arctic needs to be on the list for next year. This summer was middle-north sweden, Denmark, and right now southeastern Estonia. I so love it here!
Great memories of the Bunnik Scandinavia tour we did in July 2019. The 2 nights in that lovely lodge with the sauna, meeting Santa Claus, the same gentleman from the reindeer farm. Fantastic trip!
I fly from Helsinki to Rovaniemi with Finnair with my then 7 year old son to go and visit Father Christmas in Luosto. Was one of the most magical flights I have ever been on. True Winter Wonderland. Highly recommended.
Nice to see! We were in Inari in winter and visited the same raindeer farm (even recognize the host!) and can tell that being there in -30 is very very different 😅
The landscape certainly looks different in the warmer months. We flew Finnair to Ivalo in the middle of winter, landscape was white all the way. Spent a week up there to see the Northern Lights. Have flown Finnair quite a few times now, always had good service. Anyway a nice video Dennis, always look forward to seeing them.
Some years ago, some friends, me and my future wife flew into Kittilä and rented a cabin in Levi for New Year’s. It was fantastic. 22 hours of darkness, but everything is lit up, including the ski hills. Also, reindeer meat is tasty.
Hello lovely review 😊 I'm posting a trip report in a few days flew Air NZ in premium economy from HK to Auckland I quoted you and your famous saying "cheers here's to a great flight" :D
Thanks for the video. So you went by bus from Finnland to Honningsvag, there is, where my sister is during summertimes as a tour guide for a local operator.. I think, I will visit her next year..
My wife and I did Bunniks Scandinavian Discovery tour in 2015. Fabulous time. Is Martina Orehek still a guide on that tour ? She was outstanding ! Staying in an old jail in Helsinki that’s been converted into a hotel was unique 😂
I'd love to see more of your tours once you get where you are going Dennis. I enjoy the getting there part, but please show more of the "there" part. Cheers
😂 ironically there was a gin and tonic in there - the group drink we had on the terrace at the wilderness resort - Finish gin, tonic and some berries, it was delicious!
I would very much doubt this would be seen. But this is just an idea. Is it please possible to cover the hidden disability sunflower program, as a member of the relevant industry, here in Australia and internationally. I ask this because Finnair has apparently been the latest airline to join the program and both virgin and qantas / Jetstar in Australia are participating members. On top of every capital city airport are also members as well. But sadly, there is just not that much content on you tube, to be seen or heard.
It would definitely make for good YT content. Sadly when I'm filming I am travelling for work so time is always an issue and I have little experience in disability travel so would require a lot of research for me to do it justice.
@@DennisBunnikTravels, you could always do it from the office :p But in all seriousness, there is plenty of places to give you a hand. If I remember correctly, your home airport of Adelaide has just recently joined up in the last year or so. Also, there is some great places online to look into, both publicly available and maybe not so public, like using contact to help out?
I am a simple man. I see a Bunnik video, I click, I whistle the intro and I enjoy every moment of what's to come.
hear hear! He is a gentleman!
I hum the tune, can't whistle unfortunately! :(
I second that!! 🎉🎉
Yes me also!
same here - the world needs more people like Dennis
I’m not sure what was more shocking- seeing the sign for “Bastard Burgers” at the start or seeing the legend that is Dennis Bunnik flying economy!
Loving the extra travel content Dennis! Great video as always.
Thanks mate, hope you are well.
Really enjoyed this video 😁😁😁. Thank you!!❤️
HI Dennis Another great video,Thank You.
The Finnish cinnamon buns are deluxe - hope you enjoyed, Dennis. Great video, as always.
Loved the reindeer mate, looking forward to santa coming now 😂

Best trip ever, especially having Dennis with us on the tour. Highly recommend it. Thanks Dennis
I did the same flight a few years back but in winter. Minus 20c in the daytime, snow a plenty. Loved it.
Would love to go back in winter one day.
Great video. I love Finland and the Finnish people.
Wise words Dennis! Where ever you are you are on top of the world, cause the world is round.
What a special beautiful video Dennis! I loved it, thank you so much. Love and greetings from the Netherlands😘🇾🇪
Thank you, really appreciate it, hope you are well xx
@@DennisBunnikTravels I am 74 years now and feeling great thank you xx😄🤭
Love this! What a beautiful location! Especially enjoyed watching you participate in some local fun. More please!
Thanks
Dennis, thank you. I have watched a number of your videos and have always appreciated your observations and commentary. This one is pretty special.. Safe travels!
Flew there in winter. Stayed at Nellim. Was so much fun!
Great video Dennis! I really enjoyed this one and hope to fly above the Arctic Circle someday!

Thanks mate 😂
Hopefully you'll be flying your own plane up there one day.
@@DennisBunnikTravels We shall see! I hope so maybe!
Cheers, here's to a great flight!
cheers!
Gosh how beautiful are those reindeer!
Good to see you back Dennis!
Thank you - hope to have some more videos out soon.
I want to give you a 2 x 👍🏻👍🏻 Dennis! I always enjoy your videos. Cheers!
Thank you, that's lovely
Thanks for the info + video!
Great video. Thanks for sharing some of the destination. Bunnik tours look great
My home country! So excited to see you travel here ❤️
1:46 A319? Looks like an A320 to me... and also on the safety card ! Anyway, aside from that, lovely review as always Dennis.
Thanks for sharing some of your Bunnik Tours activities, really nice to watch
Sunday Morning full pot of coffee, a new video from Dennis, it's going to be another great week!
I love Finland! Last year, I spent 3 nights at snow hotel & glass igloo resort near Rovaniemi. Best trip of my life!
Love Finnair, Helsinki and a Dennis video. I’ve never been to those parts of Lapland and now want to go.
Thanks for another elegant video! I always look forward to them. Best wishes for you and family-
Thanks for this add on to your flight. Please show us more of the places you visit on your trips. Best, Jimmy
Once you got there what a stunning and beautiful country. Well worth the trip! Thanks Dennis!
Excellent trip report Dennis!
We took the exact same flight (AY603) 5 days ago. Nice to relive it through the eyes of Dennis Bunnik. It's a beautiful part of the world
Dag Dennis,
Wat een magische ervaring,jongen!
Al op mijn bucketlijst gezet en zal deze reis zeker maken.
Dank om jouw avontuur te delen.🙌👌🙏
Glad you're back Dennis, we've all missed you. I really needed this today ❤ thank you
Beautiful scenery

Another brilliant video, Dennis! Way more informative and less pretentious than your counterpart Paul Lucas
I like Paul, he's a mate.
Awesome! Great to see part of your day job mixed with your 'I'm scared of flying' gig!
Dennis as always an interesting as always
52 flights ? Nice

Well done .... as ever
I live in Norway but have never been to Nordkapp. Nice video!
Good work king
Thanks mate and congrats on the win last night.
@@DennisBunnikTravelsthanks mate
We’re staying at Juutua at Christmas, it might look at bit different though!
I definitely endorse visiting Nordkapp. I took a road trip from the UK this year - it's an epic journey and destination.
I was at Nordkapp only yesterday on an excursion from the Havila Hurtigruten voyage.
Some years ago, some friends, me and my future wife flew into Kittilä and rented a cabin in Levi for New Year’s. It was fantastic. 22 hours of darkness, but everything is lit up, including the ski hills. Also, reindeer meat is tasty.

We’re taking the same flight in February. I suspect that the scenery and temperature will be vastly different.
My wife and I did Bunniks Scandinavian Discovery tour in 2015. Fabulous time. Is Martina Orehek still a guide on that tour ? She was outstanding ! Staying in an old jail in Helsinki that’s been converted into a hotel was unique 😂
Yes, Martina was my guide on this tour. She's incredible and really brings the region to life.
5/5 pronunciation of sauna. You have earned your "like and subscribe" from me! I hope you liked your visit in our country!
Thanks! Although I did butcher pronouncing Ivalo a few times there 😂
We’re doing this same flight in February. I suspect the scenery and temperature will be slightly different.
Recently security queues have been very bad in HEL
Finnair blueberry juice is delicious
Interesting trip report 👍✈️🇷🇺
you have to come to Lofoten
Not yet but hope to one day
My wife always asks me why I give the plane a good pat on entry. I just say “dunno, saw it somewhere and it seems like a good practice”…
Helsinki is one of few airports in Europe that neither of the major Gulf carriers fly to with their own aircraft, which is very strange.
Went to nordkap in my very young years and enjoyed the midnight sun, spectacular. The only thing I didn’t like was the millions of mosquitoes.
Luckily for us the mosquito season had passed by the time we got there.
Hell yeah Dennis! Would love some more on the ground content from you! Hotels and stuff would be awesome!
I want to go to the Helsinki airport JUST to go get food from “Bastards Burgers”! 😀😎
Could do with slightly longer videos content however is always good
Dennis lacks ambition, the northernmost proper town in Europe (and the world) is Longyearbyen, which is a long way to the north of North Cape.
This is the northern most point on the mainland. Yes the islands are further north still
Finnish women are also very good looking.
Where has Dennis gone? I hope you're ok mate.
Thanks for ignoring the addiction of Airport Privilege lounges, and showing us the regular food fare. Nice airport
Cant work out why people get concerned about wifi on planes. Get away from the phone and enjoy the experience, especially the views.
I'd love to see more of your tours once you get where you are going Dennis. I enjoy the getting there part, but please show more of the "there" part. Cheers
Hi
Sad that Finnair and Air Baltic don't provide free snack or soft drinks. Even SAS is the same.
What happened to your usual Gin and tonic
He had a Blue and it got Berryed!
😂 ironically there was a gin and tonic in there - the group drink we had on the terrace at the wilderness resort - Finish gin, tonic and some berries, it was delicious!
@@DennisBunnikTravels I didn't see it
The real question I and every other tourist have is do they have fridge magnets in this part of the world?
I came home with a few :)
Maybe the only downside is it's daylight for 20 hours a day. In Summer. 😂😂

I can excuse a lot, but cleanliness is non-negotiable. Regrettable from such an otherwise excellent airline as Finnair.
I hate Finair, nasty little budget airline
4:43 thats 11:25 PM
Saw bastard burgers couldn't think of another name 😅😅😅
