Dear Dennis, the way you enjoyed this flight and your humility taking it all, really moved me…. Having been a flight attendant myself, I know what it means to be proud of a product you represent and to see a passenger like you (customer who is paying your salary!) enjoy it to the fullest, must have been soooo rewarding for them! One of my favourite feel good reviews of all time ❤
Exactly. And thank you for your service. Trust me many of us really appreciate it. You definitely know the difference between those that really enjoy providing great service vs going though and I greatly have appreciated that. True professionals at what you do. Greatest respect.
I'd echo John's words. There are many of us who both respect and admire the job CC do. It can be a thankless job at times I am sure but a good crew is always the make or break factor for me on every flight. There's a 2hr delay and I've either got no connection or Ops have sorted it then tbh I'm happy as Larry coz it means I just sit and relax in the lounge for longer. When that happens I don't board a flight with a chip on my shoulder as I know that the crew have nothing to do with said delay 99.9% of the time. If I'm met with an crew member who has a smile on their face & is happy to crack a joke or interact with me when time allows then I know I'm gonna have a great next few hours coz I'm surrounded by people who are both proud of what they do and care.
@@C2K777 This is exactly what I miss the most not being a flight attendant anymore. The interaction with people like you, all from different backgrounds, who get to share time together and make the most of it. Treat someone the way you would like to be treated, with respect, dignity, kindness, genuine interest sprinkled with a bit of humour….Voila, you have the perfect cocktail for an enjoyable, relaxed and happy flight. In case not everything goes as smooth as we would hope for due to unforeseen circumstances, the best way in my opinion to deal with the situation is to inform the passengers as well, complete and honest as you can. Together with patience it works wonders! Cheers and thank you for your kind words 🙏🏼
1700 Euros for the travel experience of a lifetime is the best bargain I've ever seen. 20 years from now, you won't remember the 1700 Euros, but you'll certainly remember this flight. It's also refreshing to see someone who genuinely appreciates the extra efforts made by others to make your trip memorable. I've never seen a 777 first class section with only 4 seats, it sounds like a dream.
Dennis, I am not a commenter. I don't usually think my opinion is necessary. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your gratitude. Not just in this video but in most everything I have seen you do. As for the flight - You are an executive, with a successful company in the travel industry, which requires a great deal of travel. I am sure you work heard for whatever money you earn, and how you spend that is nobody's business except you and your family's. That being said, acknowledging the fact that not everybody can afford business class, much less an upgrade to La Premiere, shows that you have embraced gratitude as the powerful tool that it is. I have most everything I want and everything I need. I try very hard to focus on that, rather than the things I do not have. You and Jeb have shared your experiences with us with a joy that is almost infectious. I look forward to seeing what is next! On the practical side, I have learned some things that have helped me spend my money and miles to upgrade when I will get the most for my money. Rarely to first (Not much international for me and US domestic? well...), but most often to premium, and occasionally business. So my cyber-friend - Thank you. You entertain and educate. Can't ask for much more than that! Safe Travels!
You two both sat in the same window seat, I watched you one after the other. I’m flying La Premiere CDG to Johannesburg next month, Ive been getting excited about everyone elses excitement. I can’t wait.
Finally someone so respectful and dimming other peoples faces on the flight while u do ur work and film ur flight others enjoy their privacy. Cos not many do it and its such a disgrace to not respect others privacy in the air.
Hi Dennis, as others have said: thank you for this video. It is really, really moving to me. I think for most of us, the chances of us being able to travel in style like this is close to zero; we watch these videos to travel vicariously, to escape the reality. The way you went about taking us along, while being so humble about it, is just something so extraordinary and inspiring. I know I speak for all the long-time viewers of yours when I say that I could not be happier for you to be able to enjoy such a well-deserving experience. Thank you for sharing this with us!
I've seen quite a few videos reviewing La Premiere, but this was by far the best. The choice of shots, the editing, the commentary and the music all came together beautifully. Well done!
I don't know how you managed to pack away all that food but every part of it, on the ground and in the air, looked superb. And clearly the staff looking after you love their jobs. Perfect.
10yrs+ watching stuff on UA-cam - with some minor interruptions for family, work and sleep - this is my very first comment ever. This is one of my top two favorite travel channels. Thanks mate, you're an absolute legend.
As a frequent flyer myself, I think 'rewarding' yourself with a special indulgence once/year is a nice way to celebrate the best of flying. No apology needed mate! And I'm aware the work you've done for the travel industry around Oz. This is one upgrade you've well and truly earned. Well done for choosing the pigeon pie, don't think I've ever seen it appear in any flight review to date.
Cher Dennis, what a nice man you are and what a joy you gave me through this review! As a Frenchman, I feel very proud of Air France and genuinely happy for you! Every minute of the footage is bliss and I can feel your appreciation: your face speaks hundreds of words! The in-flight meal experience, the service, the presentation, the pride and effort of the crew to explain all the details is certainly worth every penny you spent. I truly appreciate your appreciation for food and your curiosity! Pigeon is really not my favourite but I was glad you tried it, and liked it! I will be flying AF in about two weeks, in Business class and can't wait. For me, the most important is the crew first and the whole experience of a great meal in the air. Thanks again for the pleasure to see you so happy, you made my day! You are truly a good man!
I flew Air France for the first time (and so far only time) last April from California through Paris to Pau to visit in-laws. My wife and I flew coach. The short leg can't really be judged but I can attest the transatlantic coach service is very good and personable, even on a fully seated plane. This was my first ever visit to France and France's flagship airline was a welcoming ambassador. I'm very much looking forward to flying Air France again.
I really enjoyed this video Dennis . The level of service and quality of the catering was Manifique . You deserved every second of the upgrade after the past awful 3 years , and I’m happy to see you looking relaxed and it’s lovely to see we have the “ Dennis of old “ back again . My best wishes to you and your family .
Dennis, great video as always. One thing I would say is, please don't apologize for treating yourself to a one way first class flight. You obviously work hard and as a 20yr airline industry professional am fully aware of the extremely tough times the travel industry has endured over the past 3 years. Plus having the experience allows you to advise your clients with first hand knowledge of the product. From and to those of us who bust our asses in our careers, thanks and never feel bad for giving yourself a special treat every now and then...it's worth it mate.
I really appreciate how you acknowledge the price; a lot of airline reviews tend to leave it out in favour of just showing the experience but I think it's important to talk about how it is an indulgence and not something everyone can afford.
Beautiful Video! I once went to a Women’s business conference as a VIP. Talking with one of the women I mentioned I flew first class there. Her response was, I never fly first class. Knowing the cost of the conference and the small fortune of stuff she was wearing to try and look rich, I thought why not. My secret is airline miles, and other special upgrade offers. To anyone getting this far; if you have the opportunity to bump yourself up at the counter and especially if it is a long hall flight. Do it! If it isn’t going to break your budget. On the right airline it is a wonderful experience.
Hi Dennis, have to say this was one of your Top 5 reviews. This upgrade price not withstanding this was definitely worth the cost from the fine food served in the lounge to the exquisite food served in the air. The hospitality of the Air France staff on the ground and in the air was top notch. Plus your usual very detailed review of the food and drink on the ground and in the air was spot on as always. Cheers, looked a great flight. I let all the commercials run for this one. Little ad revenue for you to pay for this fantastic flight and the awesome review!
Thank you Dennis. It’s a pleasure to see you in first class on Air France. Of all the reviewers, you are the only one who really appreciates the superb offerings you received and I drooled over everything. I am also very glad you seem to be appearing more often on here as I always enjoy your reviews as you “soitenly” enjoy them too. I look forward to many more reviews. Cheers Dennis…Colin.
An excellent flight review. That upgrade was worth every cent, and with all the flying you do, a treat every now and then is definitely deserved. Thanks again. 🥂
Dennis, the enthusiasm and gratitude you show even after all of the years you have spent traveling are a joy and an inspiration to watch. May all travelers be a little more like you! What an incredible experience this must have been. I hope one day to fly La Premiere
Thank you Dennis, for sharing your ' reward' upgrade, which no one can deny after the deprivation of the past two years in your business. Trust the next hop home was just as fabulous. Cheers
Great content as usual Dennis, a huge thank you for yet again sacrificing your liver and getting sh*t-faced on your trip just so your viewers can enjoy the full first class experience. Your noble sacrifice will not go in vain. :)
Hi Dennis, I've enjoyed your reviews for quite some time now. I have to say, you're one of the best. There are some out there that will always look for negatives, and focus on them for 'click bait'. I won't mention names. However, you have a way with taking such a balanced approach. Please don''t apologise for being able to indulge on a flight like this, there is nothing to be sorry for. I really enjoyed this review, it was a real joy to watch. It had such a feel good aspect to it. I watched every second of it, even rewinding quite a few times during viewing. It was so well detailed, and I always admire your respect for the staff and crew. I'm Cabin Crew myself, so this never goes unappreciated. I'm so glad and thankful things are getting back to 'normal', whatever that may be now...So we can enjoy moments like this again. Thank you. The most underrated airline interview ever
absolutely love La Premiere! I think I am forever spoiled now! I mean, the Chief Pilot came out to talk to me prior to pulling back from the gate! The lounge, the ground service, the spa, the food on both air and land. Everything was soooo amazing! My flight out, I could not come close to trying all the courses. But, the way home from CDG, I made sure to try everything I could. I had never even thought that I'd like fragua as it's liver, but wow, soo amazing. I am definitely going to fly La Premiere again and often as long as I can still afford it! Also, them handling everything for you! I wish I would have indulged in more champagne and the bar; next time, oh yes, next time! I believe my only regrets were my daytime flight home and that I chose JFK instead of the longer flight to LAX!
Thank you Dennis for showing us the Air France experience. There are many airlines out there that do not offer any of the bells and whistles if you upgrade on the day, not even lounge access.
The level of service was extraordinary! Even watching the staff making sure that the video was still recording while they were making the bed and you were getting changed.
Dennis, one of the things I appreciate you and your videos is your gratitude and appreciativeness of the experience and the staff. None of this entitled brat stuff nit picking everything. And you I'm sure you know who i'm talking about.
Hi Dennis, I'm from Adelaide too, Seacliff! My wife and I are flying Business Class return in Aug/Sept 23', BC Singapore/Paris/Bordeaux and return BC Athens/Paris/Singapore, a seven week trip that I was fortunate enough to book via Qantas using FF points, AF have an alliance with Qantas! Here's hoping BC is also good with Air France, the service sounds great, it will be the first time for me with AF! Always look out for your reviews!👍
Dennis, I loved your humility and genuine appreciation for the crew and amenities. We are flying First Class to Europe later this year and look forward to passing your kindness forward. Kind regards and safe travels.
Amazing review Dennis! Just a couple of tidbits. The menu on board for your flight was designed by Arnaud Lallement who holds 3 Michelin stars at his restaurant L’Assiette Champenois in Champagne. Indeed some of the dishes you tried - the caviar with smoked haddock potato mousseline and Pigeon pie (pithivier) are signature dishes that are still served at his restaurant today. The pigeon pie in particular has been a classic at the restaurant from when Lallement’s FATHER was running the restaurant. It actually makes sense to serve it on board since, like at his restaurant, all they need to do is to bake the pie in an oven when it is ordered. The langoustine and cod with vin jaune sauce (they serve either brill or turbot in his restaurant) are also signatures that I have been fortunate to try.
As a french expat in Singapore, I have taken this flight at least 5 times round trip, and I always sit in the front business class as I can admire the sheer unique seats in front, they look incredible.
Oh...wow. Dennis that is some luxury treat for yourself !🧡 I think you deserved it ! Maybe one day, if I ever win Lotto, I might treat myself...but for now I just make do with saving up for business class once or twice a year as my own little treat ! After the stress of the last few years, we all need some getting spoilt !
I love the way you broke it down to how much per hour in the air it cost ($125/hr). I frequently do this to tell myself if it’s worth it. I recently flew Singapore business class from Newark to Singapore. Round trip was $4800 USD. Also coming out to about $125/ hr based on 38 hour round trip flight. Totally worth it to me.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. I don’t think I’ll ever be fortunate enough to fly in first class without winning a lottery but watching someone else enjoy it is the closest thing. Congratulations, you deserve it.
In and out of the industry, I obviously had some idea of what might await - But your video presented a heightened sensitivity to details and an obvious deep appreciation to be able to partake - thus made it very emotionally moving - during the whole experience I can only think of whom I would most like to gift this almost extinct experience - my Mother! Alas... work harder to afford this! Merci Air France and DBT to have realized these precious moments so that we voyeurs can define what really has value vs. mass-travel, even if of high standards. Thank You, Merci, Dankeschoen! - Chris
Throughout my diplomatic career, I travelled extensively, including numerous long-haul flights between Europe and Asia. Travel on Air France business class is among my best memories, in terms of comfort (especially more recent trips enjoying the new 1-2-1 layout), food (top-notch French cuisine promotion with excellent wines and champagne) and friendly, efficient crew members who are often happy to chat, especially after discovering one speaks French ;-) I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to La Premiere three times (twice out of Beijing), and once out of Tokyo (on the A380, another fabulous experience!) so can fully subscribe to Dennis's raving review! Thanks for this video, always enjoy your channel, especially now that I'm retired and watching your vids is the closest to international air travel I currently get.
I used to work in Senegal, and I'd be there 3-5x a year. Every time I flew Air France from Paris to Dakar (and back), I loved their service. I was flying on gov money, so it was back of the bus for me. To Air France, that didn't matter. Great service, good food, and a great flight every time.
Hi! Dennis, Wow! what a fantastic first class upgrade experience for you onboard Air France. Food served was awesome! The flight attendants services worth commending without reservation. It’s going to be a dream for me to have such an opportunity to fly on first class. Happy for you. Thank You for sharing this lovely video.
What a lovely guy you are, Dennis. This is probably the best flight video I've seen so far. Air France staff certainly were friendly here, you rarely see flight attendants appear on camera in other video's. The food wasn't to my taste personally, but from what I've seen, other airlines are much the same ... too nouvelle cuisine for me. This is also the first time I've seen anyone wear the flight pyjamas, I loved this airlines design of them and they looked great on you, Dennis, and I want a couple of pairs, Ha! I'll be certainly watching some more of your video's.
Hey Dennis, You deserve a good splurge once every now and then! I absolutely love it when you get a crew that takes pride in what they do and the presentation was excellent as was your obvious appreciation of it. Good Show Mate!
This is just amazing. Sure it may not be the most private or modern seat, but the whole Air France first class package, especially the food and the service, is on another level. Thanks for the vid :)
Nice videos Dennis, Always a joy to watch your aventures 😊👍 I was only going to watch a few minutes but you got me hooked until the end so I watched the whole thing
I'm so glad I caught your video 🏆. Usually I'd be like "equality!" "no hierarchy!" etc., but this was really a treat (not only for you but for your viewers as well). I love how the crew treated $, you. Thanks for sharing your ✈️adventure. Keep safe.
Fantastic video, Dennis. I have flown on Air France since 1985 and their service has always been impeccable from check-in to boarding to the actual flight. I have not flown in La Première but I have flown in business and economy. Both classes of service were excellent. I am so glad that AF is code shared with Delta. 👍🏻🤙🏻
I second a lot of other comments: great video, and I always appreciate your humbleness, honesty and obvious appreciation you have for the people working on your flights. Well done, keep on traveling.
This was one of my favorite reviews. I watched every second. This experience is what we all dream of when we think of “first class”. Nice to see it still exists. And your appreciation and humility made it all the more enjoyable.
.........l have now added Air France First Class to my bucket list . You took us on such a wonderfully descriptive and visual journey of the total first class experience as l think only the French excel at ! The food looked exceptional and the surroundings so understated and refined ! Only ever had the first class experience once and it was nothing like yours ............Thanks for sharing !
I love it how you can upgrade at check in into first. I paid about $750 AUD to upgrade from Business to First on Swiss on their 77W from Singapore to Zurich. Would 100000% do it again. And as always, another great video - looking forward to the next. 😉

absolutely love La Premiere!
So true
Dennis, one of the things I appreciate you and your videos is your gratitude and appreciativeness of the experience and the staff. None of this entitled brat stuff nit picking everything. And you I'm sure you know who i'm talking about.
Such a classy airline and cozy flight. The stewardess really looked after you.
Your humbleness make you super human! We love your videos. Heres to more of your travels and videos!
I was the only LP passenger last Sunday from London to Miami. What amazing service on the ground and the air. Treat yourself at least once in life.
Thoroughly deserved Dennis, enjoyed watching it!
As a fellow Aussie it’s no surprise how real and courteous you are. Loving your work
Aussies real and courteous. That's a misnomer if ever I heard one 😏
@@matthewsharp8228 well my dear maybe it starts with us
Amazing review Dennis!
Thank you that's great info. I've never been to a Michelin star restaurant but will have to go to one one day.
As a french expat in Singapore, I have taken this flight at least 5 times round trip, and I always sit in the front business class as I can admire the sheer unique seats in front, they look incredible.
Oh...wow. Dennis that is some luxury treat for yourself !🧡
I think you deserved it !
Maybe one day, if I ever win Lotto, I might treat myself...but for now I just make do with saving up for business class once or twice a year as my own little treat !
After the stress of the last few years, we all need some getting spoilt !
What a beautiful attitude of gratitude you have.❤
I love the way you broke it down to how much per hour in the air it cost ($125/hr). I frequently do this to tell myself if it’s worth it. I recently flew Singapore business class from Newark to Singapore. Round trip was $4800 USD. Also coming out to about $125/ hr based on 38 hour round trip flight. Totally worth it to me.
Glad to see you splurge. Life lesson that we have to reward ourselves. Cheers!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. I don’t think I’ll ever be fortunate enough to fly in first class without winning a lottery but watching someone else enjoy it is the closest thing. Congratulations, you deserve it.
thank you
Great vid. Enjoyed every moment with u.
What an incredible experience. 😮 That crew was so nice and attentive.
C'est une très bonne présentation de La Premiere que j'ai vue, merci!
Wow! What a nice experience! Thanks for sharing the wonderful flight story!
La classe! The French Magical Touch. Great you enjoyed it. And how you presented was simply amazing. 😉
- Chris
Really felt your enjoyment on this journey. Boy can you eat. It was too good to refuse. Thank you. I enjoyed this so much.
Just came across this review, what a humble guy. Followed just for your review alone!
Dennis! The SOUND! I just can't hear you in many clips! ARGHHHHH!!! Looks awesome!
Just the opening music promises an excellent video and then Dennis with his genuine smile talks it to a whole new level
16:19 Really beautiful sentiments. Superb video, Dennis. Glorious flight! Thank you!
Thank you
I used to work in Senegal, and I'd be there 3-5x a year. Every time I flew Air France from Paris to Dakar (and back), I loved their service. I was flying on gov money, so it was back of the bus for me. To Air France, that didn't matter. Great service, good food, and a great flight every time.
Love your humility and graciousness in this vlog. Thank you for sharing this experience. 😊
Nice trip, particularly the French bubbles!
Divine. This entire experience is divine.
Also, Karen at 20:51 🤣
That looked amazing from start to finish - thanks for sharing - hope you are well - Kevin & Cyndy UK
It looked AMAZING!!! Glad you got to experience this wonderful treat
Great video, the French truly do everything with such style and panache! A wonderful experience no doubt and thank you for sharing.
Hey Dennis, You deserve a good splurge once every now and then! I absolutely love it when you get a crew that takes pride in what they do and the presentation was excellent as was your obvious appreciation of it. Good Show Mate!
thanks mate, this was definitely a nice splurge
So lovely, to see the smile in your eyes like a child at christmas…. 👍
This is just amazing. Sure it may not be the most private or modern seat, but the whole Air France first class package, especially the food and the service, is on another level.
Thanks for the vid :)
Nice videos Dennis,
Always a joy to watch your aventures 😊👍
I was only going to watch a few minutes but you got me hooked until the end so I watched the whole thing
What a wonderful experience! Thank you for sharing!
I love Air France Business Class. I can only imagine La Premiere.
In my experience everything French is wonderful and magical.
Glad you enjoyed it! Really appreciate the kind words, thank you.
That was soooooo much fun to experience with you even if it was second hand! Bravo!👏👏👏
He’s getting absolutely wasted on a first class flight, true Aussie, love your videos keep up the great work
Well worth the hangover! :)
From beginning to end Such incredible attention to every detail. Wonderful video and unforgettable experience. Cheers
The jumper-over-the-shoulders look put this over the top for me :)
Congrats Dennis..👍 you deserve it.., a lot of people … are the better for your generosity of spirit..
.........l have now added Air France First Class to my bucket list .
You took us on such a wonderfully descriptive and visual journey of the total first class experience as l think only the French excel at !
The food looked exceptional and the surroundings so understated and refined !
Only ever had the first class experience once and it was nothing like yours ............Thanks for sharing !
Great and enthusiastic review! And your hair never gets tired, apparently. Happy landings in 2023.
Appreciate you blurring other passengers faces! Nice
Does anyone else toast Dennis when he says Cheers? A lovely review Dennis.
Thanks for the wonderful video. Good to see you travelling again after all that time!
I love watching your reviews. Thanks Dennis.
awesome flight and service cant wait to experience in the future .
What a lovely review and wonderful to see how much your enjoyed and appreciated it!
So cool how you get given your own personal escort around the airport. Jeff seemed like a nice bloke.
I love it how you can upgrade at check in into first.
I paid about $750 AUD to upgrade from Business to First on Swiss on their 77W from Singapore to Zurich. Would 100000% do it again.
And as always, another great video - looking forward to the next. 😉
Wow. A bucket list experience.
