Coop is fully capable of making a good pass, he did great in Neighbor, give him some seat time. Look at the seat time difference and amount of passes, Garrett is an extremely talented driver, but Coop just needs some seat and track time. It's a new build, they've been busy... a little time to work the bugs out and figure the V out and you'll see some great passes I'm sure. Great job guys, love yall and keep the awesome content coming.

Nice! I had a 78 Z28 with a 383 and when my rod knock kicked in it only lasted that Friday night but she ran like a raped date! Not that she was in a Beast beforehand but for that last two and a half 3 hours that you know it's self destruct I just beat the ever-living snot out of her and when we finally took that block apart I had welded the crank into her

You really need to teach Cooper how to get a clean burnout in the box and line up right. It is almost painful to watch. Love ya coop, but dang, if you have great staging, the confidence will hold for the whole pass.

I relate to cooper so hard lol. I’m trying to learn to make passes on my bias plys and I almost always choke my burnout like he does, and it just sets a bad tone for the whole pass
Slicks + MANual + no line lock= really tough to start and hold a proper burnout. Cant hold it against him too much. Some cats ant got enough paws to do a three pedal workout.
Sure line lock would "help" but it is a matter of fact that you don't need it to get a solid burnout in, Coop just needs a little instruction. If good old Cleet would just take the time to teach him a thing or two (like how he needs to kiss the brakes with his left foot after dumping the clutch, to hold the car in place during the burnout) Coops runs would much improve. If kissing the brake is to "hard" to do then start the burnout inside the water box in second gear and let the car roll out of the water box by itself.
He has to learn by himself he will get it. they cant just train illegally on a street when they have a busy channel to maintain

Great job, all I can say is had same problem doing burn outs in the v. Found out 2 gear allowed me to get more heat in the tires. Give it time Cooper will be in low 11s, needs to post to his channel also

In England we have dominoes, last time i went in i couldn't believe how much they were going to charge. For my normal size and toppings, it was over £15, where as the place i normally go its £7 for better quality. John Powell Samcrac UA-cam channel bought a insurance totaled delivery vehicle from a auction site and repaired it. Dominos saw it demanded he return it and treated him like shit about it. Last I heard dominos was threatening to sue him.

The roll out is what let you get a clean and smooth pull out past the 60ft. When you leave hard your tires are digging so hard that they are flattening on the front side and causing a bounce when the tire comes back around. You can see your suspension bounce when this happens in the rear and its almost like the car jumps out of the hole then lands and takes off. If you add a some air psi to the rears slicks and slightly increase the bump stiffness and increase the rebound stiffness of the rear coilovers a little it should help with the car out of the hole. Maybe even play with the front coilovers by increasing the rebound stiffness so more weight stays on the front tires to keep the rear from coming loose after the first hook if you cant fix it with just the rear adjustments.

COOP if you read this buddy, dont be scared to get a little sideways during a burn out just trust your car and trust yourself.

So the handbrake moves alot during your pull does that engage your brakes at all? Might want to put a spring in there so it pulls it all the way back forward after you launch.

Get rid of the drift hand brake! Use a line loc, then you can keep your hand on the shifter, Your only adding to the work you have to do
Mike Hagen . But he hasn't got three feet. How is he going to press the gas hold the brake and release the clutch all at the same time. With the line lock you still need to hold pressure on the brake pedal it just stops the rear brakes from activating.
Mike Hagen . Is that what you use to find information. He is better having the hydraulic handbrake because it's on the rear wheels he can creep the clutch just before it's bite point and less chance of pushing the car forward on those skinny front tyres. So maybe instead of doing research on Google go out and get some experience. Cheers.
Mark Thomas You can assume all you want, but since I'm an adult who has been around drag racing for 30+ years, don't assume I'm an idiot.
I get why he's doing it, but it sure seems that his 60 foot and 1-2 shift might be better but he didn't have to remove his hand from the hand brake to the shifter, There's a lot of things, little things that affect an E.T., especially in a manual transmission car.

Mike Hagen his 60 foot is improved by the hand brake because he can hold the car and start slipping the clutch to launch harder than without. Now if he had an auto and used a trans brake he could launch a lot harder but it's a manual.
Also lineloc is used for burnouts not launching. It "locks" the line going to the front brakes so they hold while doing a burnout, I've also heard of some locking off the rear brakes so only the front brakes receive line pressure changes. Again if it was an auto he could apply brake pressure and apply as much gas before it starts spinning the rears so when the light turns he could just drop the brake and floor the gas. But its not an auto.
I didn't want to insult you Mike. I also have 35+ years experience in racing and a Motor Mechanic by trade for 28 years. I understand your point to a degree but I don't think time from the hydraulic ebrake to the gear shifter will make much difference. I hope you understood what I was trying to say about the rear brakes and the clutch bite point. Sorry if I offended you I can be a grumpy old bastard. Cheers
