    Song theory
I’ve only seen a few theories on Koukatsu. Mine is a small piggyback off of some English and Japanese comments I read. I’ll state the most reasonable theory.
So obviously, we have the Kitsune / Fox. The fox has a hatred for weaklings and outsiders, that’s why it kills the bunny and pig. This could also lead to the title being “Sly.” The Kitsune takes joy in killing these creatures since “It will be so fun!” -it views them as nothing more than livestock and weaklings. This song could be a metaphor to depict us as humans and our world. The Kitsune could also be serving justice and exposing the weakness in the animals. It has an extreme bloodlust, therefore it “MUST KILL” - “You will never return here, and the dead will not either” could be implying the riddance of the weak and inexperienced. Perhaps it’s trying to convince the animals (us humans) that we should let go of the false hope and selfish support we give ourselves. We’re nothing more than weaklings in the end, after all.
This is all a theory and I’m not confirming anything, but I’d say it makes the most sense.

Oh, beautifully said!!! I think it's also worth noting that the rabbit and the pig might represent the same person, or group of people. People who compensate for their "ugly" nature by acting cute or putting on airs still can't change who they are, even if they might be able to hide it. Can I just be blunt? Like, really honest? MARETU seems to be highly critical of his own fanbase, and the "gratitude"/"respect" we feel as a result of these gruesome songs. It seems to me that the speaker in this song is tormented by their sexuality, and can't seem to accept the fact that oppression *does* exist, because in their mind, it's just "weaklings" trying to justify their so-called "preferences".
It could even be the sort of situation where consensual activities are viewed as abuse or even criminal... and to save face, the other party might have played the victim. At least, that's the vibe I get. There's clearly a lot of self-loathing and frustration going on here, no matter how barbed the lyrics are, and that's such a charm point for me-because a lot of people struggle with this specific sort of self-acceptance, but no one talks about it.

To me it seems to be tied to his previous songs. The bridge in Suji and the end of Scrumize, both heavily implying non consensual elements, were used here. In addition, Rebirth's image (which is linked to coin locker baby and all others associated with it) was shown, though a bit corrupted in that fast part.

    • @fay4296

That's definitely valid. Some of his stuff, like Suji, is pretty uh... for a lack of a better word, rapey. But other songs like this one, Brain Revolution Girl, and White Happy seem to represent more ambiguous scenarios in which the subject of affection seems to crave destruction. At least, that's my theory. MARETU explores a wide variety of topics in his music, definitely, and I love how open to interpretation it is.

    • @sjnoraskingdom3915
      @sjnoraskingdom3915 6 років тому +16

mm, brain revolution girl (to me at least) didn't seem to be about love nor sex, though, which definitely supports your point that its open to interpretation. Another one that seems pretty unclear is adolescence, you get the idea but there's not enough pieces to really pull it together. Whatever the case, it breeds a lot of ideas for things to write.

at the cost of feeding the troll, translation can in fact be very difficult despite what you may think. there are nuances to language you have to make clear between the barriers when you translate something. japanese -> english is especially difficult and loses a lot of that nuance due to heavily differentiated sentence structures and grammatical rules (as well as there often being no real equivalent for certain phrases).
also they were a new translator at this time and it never hurts to build people up and support them when they're starting out. so yeah bud, i respect anyone who decides to give translation a go

@@peachbIossom I understand the difference between definition and translation. pretty much, the first word simply defines what some word's equivalent is in another language. and the other, to translate..is when you do more you have to do much more than words sentences and even take a lot of other cultural or societal/ cultural factors...all that is understood and thanks for your response. you and I just differ in what we have "mad respect" for that's all. as in for instance I would have mad respect for someone who risk their own safety and life to save another. I have worked as a tranalator and have a talent with language learning in general so maybe that's why I don't think too highly of it to the level of mad respect.

the fox and rabbit look the same, while the pig looks completely different. my interpretation is that the rabbit represents the victim as a child, the pig represents the abuser, and the fox represents the victim all grown up and seeking revenge.
rabbits are known for being innocent and preyed on. the rabbit is shown all broken and torn up in the video. then we see the pig. pigs are known for being greedy and eating a lot (eating could be a euphemism for srx here) but they are also known for being slaughtered. the pig is shown to be covered in what looks like blood. foxes are known for being cunning tricksters. the fox (previously a rabbit) is the one that killed the pig.

  • @invinciblemikey
    @invinciblemikey 6 років тому +431

I kind of feel like this song takes place before Suji and Scrumize and is about the narrator from Suji essentially trying to control their desires, only to have the more twisted part of them win out in the end. The fox would be the part encouraging the Suji narrator to give in to their desires, while the rabbit and pig are the parts encouraging him not to. For example, the bunny is telling whoever the song is addressed to to, "destroy this burning deception," and the pig is telling the person in question to, "accept the sadness of the loser." I personally feel like the piece of the pig's dialogue that was aforementioned is referring to the fact that the singer of Suji knows that they can't have the singer of Scrumize; it's telling the singer of Suji to just accept the fact that they can't have her and just move on. The fox, however, is essentially telling the person the song is addressed to to throw their emotions away. Keep in mind that it also seems like the fox kills the rabbit and the fox, which leads back to what I said about the more twisted part of Suji's narrator winning in the end. I could be completely wrong about this; it is completely up for interpretation, not to mention that it's one in the morning and I'm tired.

this is going to be a very, VERY, long comment, but i think suji, scrumize and koukatsu are all connected
its about an abusive and unhealthy relationship
    lets start with scrumize.
    scrumize-
it’s from the perspective of the victim. she constantly wants to say something to her abuser, but she when she does, she immediately regrets it. example, “theres a mountain of things i want to say, but i keep it sealed in my heart.” and “i want you to let me apologize for all of those harsh dreams i told you about.” she does know this relationship is abusive, but keeps making herself think “everyone has hardships, we all have pleasantries.” her relationship has made her very indecisive and unsure, considering lines like “i’ve got an idea, but i’m not entirely sure.” she constantly switches back and forth, and in “i want to find and reveal someones secrets”, she is most likely referring to the abuser. it also is most likely a sexually abusive relationship, because of lines like “stop it” and “dont look at me there”, and theres much more in suji. at one point, she loses all hopes, saying, “i’ll cut out these half baked aspirations and abandon them, like the mud they are.” and convinces herself to think “my heart is grateful for this punishing love.” because of most likely guilt or her being unsure. but shortly after, she realizes that its wrong. this relationship is wrong. and thus, says “all of these forced invitations” probably referring to sexual abuse, and continues to insult him. “what are you, some hero of justice? please. you’re just pretending you know, stuck in your delusions. i guess lending you an ear was pointless. you shoot down peoples emotions, listening to them scream. a most splendid performance.” this. this pretty much straight out yells that the abuser has done this before and fooled many people into his “performance”, and she’s calling him out on it. but that isnt it. “dont make me touch you there.” they actually switch roles at the end, from “prey to predator” (this’ll be VERY important) and koukatsu’s chorus thing fades in.
    suji-
it takes perspective of the abuser. he has this obsession of “becoming adults” and the lyrics are more unsettling then in scrumize, showing how much of a dick he is. he keeps suggesting to “get rid of OUR innocence”, as he is clearly lying due to the girl calling him out near the end of scrumize. and right after that line “im so used to it.” he straight out says how hes lying. “calling it a way to waste time, flaunting it as convenience, i know i cant have you from looking at your childish face, i want to see you!” this is him trying to come up with reasons and excuses to convince her. “this burning passion once lit wont fight, it goes against so many wrongs that just feel so right.” are him trying to make an excuse for himself for his manipulative and abusive behavior. “you’ve met with a terrible end, but i wonder what will come out of it.” is most likely him being rude towards her to yet again, convince her. “i yearn for my thoughts of touching your sullied body to come true.” do i even have to explain? “everyone has to swallow something repulsive to become an adult.” fuck this guy lmao, but. “i knew that it was a very passionate end, i felt trapped by my inferiority, i dont need that!” it could be him trying to make her believe that he is a good person, and being manipulative again. “i’ll just look at your natural body, i want to see!” and this proves that he was most likely lying before. after a few more lines, there comes koukatsu. this is where the victim snaps. “and so my whole being is smeared with a disgusting feeling, i know im heading towards a miserable death. my breath stops, almost like im suffocating, as i think about my strange arsenal. dreaming of you feels like someone curtly gnawing at me, and all thats left is a lonely and moist feeling of love. please don’t change for my sake!” he’s actually “regretting” what hes done. he tainted her innocence, and this is the consequence. it isnt genuine, and he just wants to live. but she knows that hes manipulative, and thus it doesn’t work. “this feeling is something i cant replace, but its been exploited to the point of exhaustion. what a terrible way to end it!” this means that he went too far. “you’ve met with a terrible end, but i wonder what will come out of it? i’ll bind your stripped nails behind your hand. i think of biting your crumbled body. i really, really am the worst!” he thinks this out of rage and hatred instead of fake passion then before. “but it excites me! i want to feel your supple muscles. that image burned into my mind. you stopped me from doing this and that to you, so my heart burns with a need to take your innocence.” he tries to cheer himself in a twisted way while the end is approaching, but it all ends with a need. a need that will never be accomplished.
    koukatsu-
koukatsu is the aftermath of scrumize, and what happens during suji. one thing i like is that the laughter in the beginning is childish, and its what the boy used to describe her. moving on, this is from the victims perspective again. “magnificently stolen of a scene, and uncertain respect.” she describes his manipulativeness as “a performance.” so of course she’d say “stolen from a scene.” and she was very uncertain at the beginning of scrumize, so that explains “uncertain respect.” “outwit, that old sympathy and selfish support.” first of all, the sympathy refers to when she fell for his tricks. why selfish support though? well, in suji, he uses himself as an example in “please don’t change, for MY sake!”, so that can explain. “take care of your binded feelings, and throw them where you must throw them.” i’m actually kinda confused, but what i’ve got is a stretch. he throws his “feelings” at someone to make them feel bad for him or date him. this is the part i like. it changes to a bunny. remember when i said “predator to prey?” well, the bunny is her. but the thing is that it’s tainted, like what the boy did to her. this is probably her before snapping. “take control with praises of salvation and poisoned synaesthesia.” the one thing i noticed is the word poisoned. thats probably the method used to kill him, and it kinda makes sense because of how “he cant breathe.” “maintain that corrupted look, and exchange it with useless money.” that’s probably what he used to lure girls in. money. “sorrows, pathetic screams and charming voices that lower their heads. destroy this burning perception and return to where you must be.” referencing to her in scrumize, saying how hes caused “screaming” and such. return where you must be is most likely hell. one thing is that the bunny is even more tainted, so thats her when shes calling him out. “stop focusing in those sore eyes” is probably him poisoned. he thinks of some creepy shit while being poisoned, so thats probably why hes focusing. “still stretched out on a field, curiosity piles in those pierced eyes.” he’s probably confused on why she’s doing this. “if all morality hits your neck, you will be happy.” during the first chorus of suji, he says something about a neck idk,,, so owo. “accept without doubt, the sadness of the loser and the emptiness of compensation.” without money, he cant lure anyone new in. “destroy that rotten deceit, and that disgusting look, stop it.” its probably him being a creep or trying to beg her to live. “outwit, that old charm and the selfish attention.” the pig is bloodied now, and usually, manipulators have a lot of charm. he also to appear very self centered. “start that twisted fallacy, and throw it where you must throw it.” its referring to his horrible way of thinking. “if you focus on those shattered eyes, you will see the crime.” she’s trying to make him realize his wrongdoings, and how much she’s harmed her and many other people. theres plenty of single words, and they’re most likely her thoughts. “even more blood shed in this place, seize that tasteless compassion. show the experience of the weak, florid raising evil.” most likely telling him how his love was fake. “the faint flowing of blood and tears, poor laughingstock. you will never return here, and the dead wont either.” she finally did it, and she killed him. poor laughingstock is probably him, seeing how his foolish actions led to his foolish demise. the chorus repeats, except for the last line. “it will be so fun!” he’s dead now, and he’ll realize in the afterlife, rather then avoiding it when he could.

      OH MY GOD THANK YOU
After getting into a discussion about Suji and if it's about general abuse or straight up pedophilia, we came to the conclusion that it's about a 14-year-old and an 18-year-old in a relationship.
Do you think it's reasonable to say that the 18-year-old senior prayed on freshmen, just to get the thrill of taking away their innocence? When the girl finally had enough of him and killed him, it would probably be shocking to witness a 14-year-old victim have power over you, so perhaps that's why he was probably surprised?
And one more question: What is your take on the "perfection", "emotion", "gratitude", and the repeated use of "shrine" on the part of the song where it begins with "Welcome", along with the satanic ram that flashes on the screen after the "MUST KILL" part? To me, that indicates that what the girl is doing is wrong, it's abusive, maybe even cultish. I'm mainly lost on the repeated use of "shrine".
I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say she didn't just kill him because of hatred, she got into a cult because of her despair, and they convinced her to kill him, saying that it will make her happy.

I like how Maretu now also incorporates visual messages in his latest songs. This time I think the song is about the dark, instinctive nature of every living being and how we are simply unable to escape it. Between Toutetsu and Koukatsu I like this one more, because it also brings a lot of different musical elements from marimba (i think) and that turntable interlude. Also the refrain has that leitmotif that can be heard in a few other songs of his like Scrumize and Muscles. I just love all of his stuff.

@@blackhopesans6295 It’s all up for interpretation, since MARETU songs are weird like that but most theories assume that the goat head might represent the dad of coin locker baby, since goat heads are demonic in Christianity (of course) which hints that whatever this goat head represents, it’s most definitely not something good. This is also supported by the fact that it’s very similar looking to a uterus - which of course is where the fetus is developed - and in coin locker baby the mom puts the kid in a coin locker, representing an unwanted child. Unwanted children are usually synonymous with abortion, and uteruses usually represent something regarding both birth and children, thus the connection between the two.
A different theory supported by the uploader of the video suggests that the goat head might not mean anything and this song isn’t connected to any other MARETU songs (despite having a similar few notes that are sprinkled in Suji and Scrumize), instead meant to be a message about selfish views and false hope, putting a very pessimistic look on the world and social stance we all have. While I don’t agree with this one very strongly, it wouldn’t be impossible considering MARETU’s other songs.
I could try and find some other theories about the goat head that might suggest otherwise, but these are just the most popular theories to me, at least from what I can tell.
edit: I don’t feel like deleting this comment because it goes into depth about various theories on koukatsu but basically all you need for this comment in terms of context is that the other person asked what the goat head/uterus may have meant

well, a wrote about a paragraph about how much i loved this song, and how the juxtaposition of a cryptic meaning with a clear message made it even more beautiful (in it's own sleazy, glorious way), but it's so graphic that it's almost hard to comment on. "preferences" and "oppression"... some people struggle with those more graphically than others. but all this "evil" he's raising? i'm so happy to be a part of it.
i can't imagine translating this kind of subject matter and not getting horribly embarrassed--and btw, you were VERY quick. a lot of songs never get translated, and koukatsu only came out a few days ago! thank you so, so much for my new favorite song. :') ♡♡♡

Alright, so here's my theory: I think this song is a pessimistic view of our world, about the fact that though we fool ourselves with concepts like justice and morality we are, at our core, mere animals just like foxes, rabbits, or pigs. Foxes are typically associated with deceitfulness, and in this video it seems to get the upper hand against the rabbit and the pig-- representations of innocence and stupidity, respectively--referring to the human world. This could potentially tie into Suji and Scrumize, where the abuser in Suji is represented by the cunning fox and gets away with his crime, and the victim doesn't get justice and has to wait for rebirth.
I think I read somewhere that this song was dedicated to a friend of Maretu's that committed suicide?

    • @invinciblemikey

...that Would explain the melody being the same in all three songs, but knowing the way these stories are told, that's probably not what happens. At best, perhaps the victim commits a murder/suicide and takes the abuser to hell with her? 'tis something to think about.

Okay so I’ll have my little theory on what this is about (in relation to Scrumize and Suji)
I think this isn’t about the person from Scrumize killing the person from Suji, rather, I think it’s somebody who’s trying to convince the person from Scrumize to kill the Suji guy, (I’m gonna just refer to them by their song name) and eventually, Scrumize kills Suji with Koukatsu’s help. Koukatsu then tries to convince Scrumize that it was the right thing to do.
Some of the lyrics don’t line up with Scrumize’s lyrics, it feels more like a different perspective. I think that’s where the “Don’t focus on those sore eyes”, “you will be happy”, “it will be fun!”, and “seize, raising evil” come from. I don’t have much time to explain it other than that, but it just makes more sense to me.
Edit: I'm going to go into further detail.
Scrumize doesn't seem like the type to murder by their own decision, so that's why I believe Koukatsu is a third perspective. They comforted Scrumize in hardships and slowly convinced them to kill Suji with their help. And so, Scrumize and Koukatsu kill Suji, and it isn't a quick death, Koukatsu wanted to see Suji suffer for their own sadistic satisfaction, also believing it'll help Scrumize feel satisfied longer from the revenge.
I'm unsure of the exact method, some theories say it's from poison, but from Suji's lyrics, before the Koukatsu melody played, it appeared that Suji was begging for their life, I think it has something to do with suffocation. Being choked might be the way, however, you can't talk if you're being choked, and in Suji's last moments I do think they spilled out all their fucked up desires while Scrumize yelled at them, saying all the fucked up shit Suji did, causing Suji to feel a tinge of regret for a moment.
What I think is that Suji was stabbed in the stomach, as in, the organ and not a belly. Then tied up as Koukatsu and Scrumize watch him slowly bleed to death.
This song is during that. Koukatsu and Scrumize are watching Suji die as Koukatsu's trying to convince Scrumize to do it, or that it was the right thing to do. Telling them that they'd be happy and how fun it would be. Koukatsu's also mocking Suji, Scrumize joining in every now and then
These lyrics feel more negative and sounds like someone convincing someone else that killing the weak is a good thing. The only part I'm stuck on is the repeated mention of "Shrine" followed by the goat head.
To put it simply, Koukatsu convinces Scrumize to kill Suji in a slow death, and then Koukatsu mocks Suji while trying to convince Scrumize that this was the right thing to do. I'm not saying it's really what happened, just a theory

I think this song talk about Child abuse. Or Miku being abused or Miku abusing someone. The fox can be an adult/Miku and the bunny can be a Child or even Miku. And the piggy, its the distorced/ darkness inside the of Miku and the people, even the abuser and even the person who is being abused. For me, the piggy its just a metaphor for distorced people i guess.

    Here’s a theory
Suji, scumerize, koukatsu, and rebirth are connected
    Why?
    (T.W)
Suji is when it all started. The adult did the thing to the child. Scumrize is that aftermath I guess you can say for both of them-. koukatsu is the adults aftermath. The fox/kitsune represents the adult. The rabbit is the kid before and while they got uh that- and the pig is also the child but after the “stop it” part and pig looked bloody that must have been the child after what happened. they felt destroyed. And at one part shows the ram(?) in rebirth. Rebirth is the child aftermath. The word “slave” in the song meant that she was a slave to the adult to continue doing their disgusting acts to the kid and made them feel like nothing (idk please correct me in the comments) and i believe in the song they said only to be reborn as a slave meant that the child either kept getting uh from the adult or she was uh before in a past life (probably not). At the end of the song it said “you’ve done nothing wrong (probably)” meant that they either got justice or they died somehow and was up with the clouds
I’m done now. Sorry if I made some of you guys mad feel free to attack me

SUPER late comment, but after months of listening to this song I've just now noticed that right at the end of the bridge with all the broken words (right after it says "MUST KILL") for a split second the PV flashes a screen that has a pixelated version of the uterus/bull shape from Rebirth. Could Rebirth also be part of the same story arc as Suji, Scrumize, and Koukatsu?? I don't think it contains the melody of Koukatsu like Suji and Scrumize do so I'm not sure if it really is but I still think it's a cool little easter egg.

I think all of MARETU's songs have a connection to one another, especially this song, scrumize, suji, and coin locker baby. I think each song explains the life a rapist, and their victim, and what terrible relationship they have together. In coin locker baby the victim becomes pregnant and gets rid of the baby. I think this song is the rapist's attempt of making the victim have another child with the victim. I also think suji is the rapist's perseptive of the story, while scrumize is the victim's perspective of the story. But that's just my lousy theory.

    • @lolyyyyyyy
      @lolyyyyyyy 4 роки тому +43

I agree a lot with your theory! I also think that this relationship is even more terrible in a way, because I think the victim is the abuser's little sister (in the scrumize image we can see the word "himouto" which stands for little sister). And I also think that suji is a song about the abuser's point of view, but also about a p*dophile's point of view which could mean that the abuser is sexually attracted* to their underraged sister (*the abuse in this story is definitely sexual), but that's just my theory. I don't really agree with your theory about the abuser wanting to have another child with the victim though, since I think that in Coin Locker Baby, the abuser is the one forcing and manipulating (by telling the victim that they can't be happy together if they keep the baby) the victim to stuff the child into the locker., I really like your theory though!

I liked to think that "Mind Brand,Maegamist, CoinLockerBaby, Rebirth, and Darling" or maybe all songs are connected???or in my guess that "CoinLockerBaby,MindBrand,Maegamist,Darling" are in a Alternative timeline where i think "Rebirth, SIU,Maegamist, and lastly Monologue" are like the Alternative ending after all of the mess this mc went through. the quote on *SIU* "This is love for victims of the worst lives" partners with "you'll be happy and no more problems and I swear there is not (probably)" on Rebirth somehow shows this male mc aka the abuser backstory or probably the beginning of this messed up story???in "Suji,Scrumize, & koukatsu" perhaps possibly in MindBrand shows this victim spread awareness towards others and then koukatsu shows up and then probably ended on Monologue cus it's like somehow this victim still has some complicated feelings towards her abuser. In Maegamist where you see everything like it's an alternative ending for her and then "white happy" states she now has trust issues where there's this bystander that helps her where I indicate that this "optimistic person" is the girl who like her at "eraser girl" and probably thew victim is the "Pessimistic person" on white happy and then both of them commit suicide after they give themselves one last affection towards each other before falling in a "upside-down scenery" on the song.
I also like to think that PacketHero comes first in this timelime and possibly "taste of a cockroach" is like her past since she's literally like a junior high school student where she gets bullied for being a stalker and having a crush possibly her abuser before he abused her.
    End quote
Edit : I think the entire music of maretu is like a infinite loop of this mc being in prison of this toxic, morbid, love subject like story"

I know im a bit late. (A bit)
Im no expert so if you see this and have another maybe more reasonable theory pls go easy on meh.
But the way i see it to how it ties with Scrumize and Suji is that. (I ASSUME AND MIGHT BE COMPLETELY WRONG BUT HERE I GO) In both Suji and Scrumize songs its seems as if their "innocence" were stripped away by a certain someone. Both having different reactions towards the somewhat forced imoral actions. One (the POV of suji) having to like and get obssessed and another (POV of scrumize) not wanting to and keeps on saying stop on and on. In koukatsu, the fox represents the person forcing these illicit acts towards both of them.
The pig being Suji and the bunny/rabbit being Scrumize. The pig being more or less selfish and wanting more where the bunny saying that it doesnt want it but in a "yeah GO FOR IT" way where you say one thing altho your not completely against the idea. And the part where they both the bunny/rabbit and the pig dies or gets killed is when the innocence of the two people? Are REMOVED (BEGONE THO...) and the fox's blood lust is just well. Lust.
This is the way I see it.

For some reason, without paying too much attention to the lyrics I made this picture in my mind. It's certainly innacurate, but hear this :
The fox is justice. Dancing even with shackles on. If it stops, everything is over.
Then there is the scared bunny and the sly pig, trying to stop it from dancing too hard and hurting itself. Vile people who take advantage of others ( pig ) and their victims ( bunny )
The mangled bunny and pig are other victims, completely beastified by the abuse and make justice dance way too hard . People who have suffered injustice, have hardened and commit nasty acts thinking they restore justice.
However, the fox is hurting more than it should, so it kills the mangled animals.
It doesn't lay a hand on the others. At least they didn't hurt it.
All the bunny can do is watch in sorrow. All the pig can do is to have a triumphant smile now.

Hmm.. As I hear many of these comments talking of other songs similar to this being of rapists, and this song being of a predatory like standpoint, seeing others as weaklings technically its prey) and the climax part being involved, this could also be a song from the viewpoint of the rapist, however I don't know much about these songs, so my theory definitely could be wrong. I'd like to hear anyone else's thoughts on this to see what you think

    My Theory:
So this song is about a gang of 3 people who wear masks and rob stores, banks, whatever. one wears a Kitsune mask, one wears a Bunny mask, and one wears a Pig mask. I will be calling them the animal they are assigned to. the Kitsune is the leader and the Bunny decides to leave the gang and returns to light. That is why in the PV the Bunny becomes lighter. The Kitsune tells the Pig to not do what the Bunny did or else he would die. He tried to devise a plan so he can leave just like the Bunny did, but he did not succeed. The kitsune later killed him. And the Kitsune was just a one-man gang. I came up with 3 possible endings. He either: Kept committing crimes, returned to light like the Bunny, or he suicided. Knowing MARETU, it's probably number 3. I can't really explain the other mask that appeared in the song, probably just a weird detail.
