      I am visually impaired I have to read subtitles by a screen reader on UA-cam. Your podcast do not have subtitle therefore I am not able to read subtitles on your website

    • @EnglishLikeANative

      @@Icarus_TV All videos have automatically generated subtitles. Most of my videos have handwritten subtitles and many translations. Unfortunately, I was unable to create subtitles for this video. The very long videos take such a long time to transcribe, and I only work part-time on UA-cam. :(

    • @Icarus_TV

      it seems I couldn't tell my meaning well. since UA-cam makes automatic captions for videos and puts it on the web page instead of in the video frame, I am able to read them by screen-reader but on your web site your podcast don't have subtitles. If you have published them on UA-cam daily, I would listen to them and read their captions in daily basis.
      Anyway Anna Thanks for your interesting and so informative videos.
      You nailed it.

    My mother used to have a finesse pendant with a teeny-tiny encouragement saying "smile and shine" engraved on it that she had inherited from her mother. She rarely took it off. And even though the clasp on the pendant was getting a little bit rusty and was challenging to do it up without someone's help she cherished it and took care of it since it reminded her of her beloved mother. ( Don't mind me, I'm just practicing. Love your lessons, they make my day)

    Little paragraph with vocabulary Week 2.1:
    I think with regret and melancholy about the ancient Anna who used to wear her heart on her sleeve, to empathise, to bestow a like or a little feedback to her fans. I am quite flummoxed how she came to ignore and brush them off now like would do a jaded star or aging queen.

    • @EnglishLikeANative
      @EnglishLikeANative  6 місяців тому +1

      Well done on using the vocabulary, though the sentiment is a little unfair. Assumption is a dangerous thing...I care deeply about my audience, and never choose to ignore or brush off comments. The reality is, when you are drowning you have to make a choice, let go of some of the things you are holding and swim to the surface or continue to hold on and sink. I am one person, with a rising tide and sometimes I have to focus on swimming to the surface.

      Ah! here we are Anna. Thank you for this little word ;-)
      Too bad it is on this comment which I avow was (volontarily) unfair, provocative and a tiny bit irreverent ... ;-)

      I tried this with week one but the videos didn't perform well after day one so I thought I would try a different format.

    Halitosis, why,? because this word means literally the same in Spanish. I hate smelling smoker's halitosis next to me. Btw.Anna, sheer gold has 24 carats. The problem is 24-carats-gold is ductil so , it is so hard working in jewellery, so , normaly there is a mix between sheer gold and silver or rodioum. So after melting both, you could create, designing whatever you want to.
