Ya you don’t want the throttle curve so steep at the start that it breaks traction suddenly when you hit bumps and it slightly turns the wrist when you are trying to be off the throttle.

They both perform very well when properly tuned. They are several things that I like more about the Nucular: - it fits nicely on the Surron when hidden behind the stock cooling plate - they aren't any connectors on the back, so there's no stress on the connectors like with the BAC controllers - it's easier to set up and you don't need a special access to tune things up - there is one official display that is made to perfectly work with the controller, so no compatibility issues - it's easy to configure temp thresholds for everything (for reduced power or complete stop) to prevent components (motor or controller) from frying Apart from that, both are very good controllers and you can configure them to behave very similarly from one another.
Salut Quentin, Grâce a toi j'ai réussi à configurer mon nucular 24f sur ma sur ron, super tuto, vraiment merci. Par contre tu ne parles pas du menu "extra parameter", peux tu stp m'aider à comprendre mes sous paramètres suivant: - Circumference: 1930mm - motor sprocket: 32t - wheel sprocket 304t Sachant que je roule en 19", avec transmission primaire à chaîne et courronne 58t.
Les trois paramètres permettent de spécifier la démultiplication pour que la vitesse soit juste. Comme il y a un axe de réduction, on est pas vraiment dans un cas qui correspond. Soit tu fais ton calcul, soit tu installes un compteur GPS (ou téléphone) pour affiner les réglages et tu seras bon ;)

Hello! Tu peux commander direct chez Nucular ils sont sérieux. En revanche il ne faut pas être trop pressé… Evfreaks tu l’as rapidement mais le tarif fait quand même mal ! Je bosse à une solution alternative, stay tuned. Pour l’accent, j’attribue ça aux voyages et au temps passe à l’étranger. Mais je suis 200% made in France ✌🏽

Your battery must have a BMS that secures it, so there's no harm, if that's too much for the battery, your BMS will cutoff of prevent from dragging that much anyway.

Yes, it's a bit intimidating at first, there is also the docs available on Nucular's website. But you can probably buy it pre-configured for you though.
Great Video! Any chance you can help with the 24F Install? I have 3 Blue phase wires 1 Red & 1 Black. Which blue wires get matched up with the stock controllers (Blue/Green/Yellow) Cables? Also any tips on mounting this? How did you use the stock controller housing? Thanks for any advice in advance safe riding!
The phase wires don't have a specific mounting, they'll be properly tuned on the first auto-setup. As for the stock controller, you need to open it and remove all the circuits to only save the metal cover (not an easy task).

Have you tried a thumb throttle? looks like your pretty comfortable with twist but for me I found switching to thumb allowed far more control - specifically with the type of thumb throttle that goes 'around' the bars - they allow you to brace your thumb against the bars and so bike/body movements don't have a influence on your wrist and throttle.
I knew some people do it. I’ve only tried thumb throttle on quads, but I have to admit I’m not super fan of it. But it’s a matter of taste and probably a question of habit too. Nevertheless, I’m not sure I’ve ever tried the type of throttle you’re talking about. What you mean is that you push from top to bottom (same direction you’d twist the throttle actually) unlike the normal thumb throttle type that you push forward. Is that right?
@@MTO_Brothers basically yea, rotates around the handlebar, same axis as the normal full twist, but actuated only with your thumb. I've tried quad style throttles too, and compared to those, i would prefer full twist too, but the 'around the bar' style works well for me. No more whisky throttle. Not quite as good for in the air or going from sitting to standing, but minor enough of an inconvenience there to make up for it with extra control, particularly with no clutch as a 'oh shit' estop... That said, I've been riding ebikes of various forms for ~10 yrs, always this thumb style so im more used to it too I guess :D

Li-ion cells all have the same voltage (+/- 0.2V depending on chemistry). So better cells have higher discharge rate but still offer the same voltage. To get a 72V you need more cells in series than a 60V. But with better cells, as they have a better throughput, you can lower the number of cells in parallel and still get a high amps discharge rate 🚀
I'm a summer lover mate, lived for several years without even experiencing winter! But I gotta keep riding. The secret is to have warm gloves and cloths, then limit the ride to single tracks and physical trails. If there's wind and it's not sporty enough, you'll be frozen (worse things are road portions!).
There isn't a plug and play kit that I know of, but there's no reason it can't be done. I don't know how much power it draws though, just to have an idea of much of the battery it'll draw.

Salut Camille. Non il n'y a rien d'extrêmement compliqué. Il y a au final peu de modifications qui concernent la partie électrique/électronique de la moto. Et quand il y en a, c'est plug and play la plupart du temps !
I wouldn't say one is better than the other. If the plan is to go on-road, I've heard the Bac might be able to provide more top speed (to be verified). Apart from that, the Nucular is easier to configure and smaller so it mounts better on the bike. In any case, both are high end, high performance controllers so you can't go wrong. Go with the option you can have the fastest or for the best deal.
L'avantage avec le 24F c'est que tu peux régler précisément l'accélération et faire ta propre courbe en ajustant les pourcentages. Le choix du mode Speedy, torque ou torque + speed est aussi super important. J'adore ces contrôleurs dommage qu'ils soient si difficile à obtenir. Tu peux même régler la vitesse minimum de rotation du moteur et aussi régler une sorte d'anti-patinage si jamais le moteur s'emballe trop vite le contrôleur va réduire la puissance !!
@@DuckNono82 Salut il faut aller dans les Throttle contrôle mode setup pour S1, S2 et S3 là où tu vois des paramètres Accélération lim. ou décélération min en ERPM/sec. Avec ce paramètre tu peux choisir une vitesse max de rotation par seconde qui permet d'éviter l'emballement du moteur quand ça glisse. Fais des tests sur le sec et règle les ERPM/sec le plus bas possible pour ne pas sentir de perte d'accélération. Par exemple 250ERPM/sec au lieu de 1000. Du coup sur la neige le moteur n'ira pas plus vite que 250ERPM/sec. Tu peux aussi voir dans débug informations ce que le contrôleur a déjà enregistré sur les accélérations mais je crois que c'est en ERPM/min en lecture direct. Mais il y a moyen de faire des enregistrements. Dans control tu peux aussi régler Minimum speed ERPM pour le démarrage. En mettant sur 100 ou lieu de 1000 ERPM le moteur commence à tourner très doucement si tu chatouille l'accélérateur au lieu de ne pas bouger puis démarrer pleine balle.
The one you’ll be able to find quick! On a serious note, both ASI and Nucular are very good controllers. Just make sure to buy it from a trusted dealer and if you’re going with the BAC, make sure to have it pre-programmed.

As an old dirtbike rider, how is this compared to an 125cc 2-stroke? im not talking about just the momentum, but also the feels. 125cc are very light and fun to ride, while the bigger 250cc /450 are heavy. One day, i might afford one, or if im lucky, i could make a deal with a seller for one. really love to test one of these, as im normally a motoguy.
Eventhough a 125cc is and feels lighter than 250cc/450cc (especially 4-stroke), this is yet an order of magnitude lighter and feels like so. In some ways it feels like a powerful 125 and at the same time like a big DH mountain bike. It's not as well suspended as a dirt bike, but 10 times more manoeuvrable, as few rotating mass as you can get, super low inertia… I've actually just posted a video comparing it to dirt bikes. ua-cam.com/video/tdtPPqIxIcA/v-deo.html
Auto tune asks you to turn the throttle and some other stuff, then makes the wheel turn forward and backward to adjust motor handling. It will not change the throttle response. Just detect the input/ouput to make everything properly work.

Genre une meilleure gestion de l’énergie ferait moins chauffer la batterie ou le moteur, je recharge 2x par jours et arrive chez moi avec environ 20% restant sur une batterie chargée à 100%, j'aimerais faire des réglages pour gestion d’énergie et sans augmenter la puissance. Je pense que non mais sait-on jamais ^^
@@fabienrst5964 Difficile de dire que c'est mieux. Les deux sont très bien. C'est vraiment une histoire de réglages et de feeling. Tout les contrôleurs de qualité sont vraiment bien (Nucular, Bac, Sintech, Kelly…).

what tire setup u have in your bike? it seems the bike grips really well with that power..
Front was Maxxis ST and rear Pirelli Scorpion. They work well on snow, mud and soft terrain.

As an old dirtbike rider, how is this compared to an 125cc 2-stroke? im not talking about just the momentum, but also the feels. 125cc are very light and fun to ride, while the bigger 250cc /450 are heavy.
One day, i might afford one, or if im lucky, i could make a deal with a seller for one. really love to test one of these, as im normally a motoguy.
Eventhough a 125cc is and feels lighter than 250cc/450cc (especially 4-stroke), this is yet an order of magnitude lighter and feels like so.
In some ways it feels like a powerful 125 and at the same time like a big DH mountain bike.
It's not as well suspended as a dirt bike, but 10 times more manoeuvrable, as few rotating mass as you can get, super low inertia…

No this is with a 72V battery.
did ya try the auto tune, how was that
Auto tune asks you to turn the throttle and some other stuff, then makes the wheel turn forward and backward to adjust motor handling. It will not change the throttle response.
Just detect the input/ouput to make everything properly work.

@@MTO_Brothers On peut faire tourner ce contrôleur avec la batterie d'origine ? Est ce que certains réglages permettraient plus d'autonomie ? Genre une meilleure gestion de l’énergie ferait moins chauffer la batterie ou le moteur, je recharge 2x par jours et arrive chez moi avec environ 20% restant sur une batterie chargée à 100%, j'aimerais faire des réglages pour gestion d’énergie et sans augmenter la puissance. Je pense que non mais sait-on jamais ^^
@@surronzak8154 Oui tu augmentes un peu le rendement car le contrôleur est plus efficace. Tu peux aussi profiter d'une vraie régénération !

Non en fait c’est l’inverse. J’avais un Bac puis le Nucular. Tout simplement car le Bac a eu un problème.

@@fabienrst5964 Difficile de dire que c'est mieux. Les deux sont très bien. C'est vraiment une histoire de réglages et de feeling. Tout les contrôleurs de qualité sont vraiment bien (Nucular, Bac, Sintech, Kelly…).
@@MTO_Brothers I have read a lot of people having continuing problems with throttle response with a Kelly. Do you agree?

Like I said in another comment, both are very good controllers. There are some points that I like about the Nucular though.
- it fits nicely on the Surron when hidden behind the stock cooling plate
- they aren't any connectors on the back, so there's no stress on the connectors like with the BAC controllers
- it's easier to set up and you don't need a special access to tune things up
- there is one official display that is made to perfectly work with the controller, so no compatibility issues
- it's easy to configure temp thresholds for everything (for reduced power or complete stop) to prevent components (motor or controller) from frying
Apart from that, both are very good controllers and you can configure them to behave very similarly from one another.
