  • Can you give a monster bush plane a lift? 🤨 Lets find out! I got tired of dealing with the limitations that the stock suspension gave me, namely not being able to change out the shocks, so I went to work redesigning them and creating a much better suspension!

Mike... Words escape me!! I've met some people with a real zeal for life (in my 70 yrs)... but YOU, my friend... are on a whole other "plane" all together!!...(lol No pun was intended). Has it ever occurred to you, to just be You and do presentations to today's hopeless young people about what can be accomplished with the right attitude, abilities and faith in yourself to "do it"?!? The US Army's "Be all you can be" slogan.. is Nothing compared to You!! Wow!... just WOW!!
I don't know if your folks are still "with you" or not.... but, I sure would have loved to have been "a little church mouse" hiding in a corner of your home, and just observed their process of raising and training you for life.... they must be some of the most Awesome parents any kid could have had!!
They must be Incredibly proud of You... and your brother, Mark and seeing the results of all they helped you both, to become!! Do you have any sisters??.... If so, are they female versions of you... with absolute, no holds barred... "can do Anything" view of life, as you do?? Love your Videos, love the engineering and carrying it out with absolute Excellence... you're truly an inspiration to the many thousands of those who have been following you, and Mark... on here.
You're also Very blessed to have the Incredible (and, may I say.. Beautiful) Supporting wife that you have... she is definitely a "keeper". Not too many wives would have been so supporting and loving as she has been... and she showed her "true colors" the day you "lost" Draco.... YOU, are a Very Blessed, Man... keep her Very Close and always love and protect her every hour of every day, like you may never see her again.
Stay Safe, and may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.... Bless and fly with you, ALWAYS... and keep you Safe.

I can honestly say that this is what a genius looks like when he is working at full potential. Tirelessly working with a love unnaturally rare and strong, combined with the recourses, skillset, and knowledge acquired to achieve his goal. Never is there any thought to rest while there is still time to work. Thinking only about how efficiently he can best utilize his time so as not to waste a moment. It appears effortless for him to accomplish the thousands of tasks running through his mind without compromising quality for expediency.
You could not pay anyone to work this way if you were able to find someone with the resources and skillset to do so. It takes the obsession of a genius.

I really don't know what to say but holy crap, I'm a welder Fabricator for 30 years and have built some cool stuff, but the things you design and Fab are on a whole out of this world level, I'm blown away the things you build Sir you build the most awesome bush plane I ever seen, that plane blow's away any bush plane ever that I know of, Sir you are a true genius the only thing I can say is WOW and can't wait to see what comes out of your shop in the years to come, wow, motor on, Will

I loved this video. The engineering is fantastic. However, I think someone has already solved this problem of hard landings, compression, and all the other headaches of high-stress short landings. Look no further than the U.S. Navy carrier landing program and the heavy-duty undercarriage systems that are used to put a multi-ton jet on a carrier deck and walk away in one piece.

New drinking game: every time he says "back to work" or "I am excited" or does a fist pump, you must drink a shot. If you are still alive by the end of the video, you win (although you really lost when tomorrow's hangover hits you)

The only way to survive that is to use Bud Lite... but then you'd be drinking Bud Lite... Sooo, I'm sorry liver, it's been nice knowing you.
EDIT: Yep, you'd be dead. Just went through and did a tally.
Get/back to work, I'm excited, awesome or a fist pump: 40 shots in 30 minutes

Not a bad game... but I think whenever he says "back to work", I'll get back to building my RV-8. I should have it done in three days...

I am simply fascinated with Draco and your skills Mike and I watch each video in total awe. Thanks for taking us on this ride with you!

Mike this is by far my favorite episode to date! I’m an ex racer of most anything with wheels and can appreciate the engineering you’ve put into DRACO! Love your passion and drive to make things work better, after watching your episodes and the flying Cowboys I hope to start my fixed wing training soon and invest in a bush plane! Thanks for all you do and share, you have woken up my passion to fly again!
On a side note, sorry to hear about the incident with DRACO! Glad y’all were ok other than your wife’s broken nail ;) can’t wait to see you bring DRACO back...
