Going to rehab doesn't make you any Less of a man, it's just getting Stuff Out in the open, and getting another perspective on how to SOLVE it.

Thanks for opening up, I am sure it will help someone else. When I went to AA back in 92 it was to learn how to drink less. No one in the rooms told me anything other then to dont drink, keep coming. It was people like Jessie opening up about their issues and personal defects that helped me to see myself more clearly. For the first time in my life I did not feel I was alone. I too was financially well off, which may have hidden how bad I was hurting. It was a relief and then the work started. It was the greatest decision I ever made. Thanks

He was honest about his struggles with faithfulness, alcohol, being alone, being his own worst enemy. It's a very raw and real interview. He knows he has flaws but he is humble too. He has many talents when it comes to welding and artsy stuff. He has his priorities in the right place, himself and his kids. Watching interviews like this sheds light on addiction and pulling through with therapy. Therapy comes in all forms, prayer, wind therapy on motorcycles, even hopping in your car and just going. Art is therapy, music, etc. So glad I watched this interview, rock on!

I'm the son of a '70s Dad, and his actions influenced many of the decisions I made in my youth. I'm not 'famous', and, (resultantly), have had much less stress in my life than J.James. I'm a fan of what he did, (on 'Monster Garage'), for the young man with a spinal cord injury-as I broke my neck at 21-BUT I knew nothing about WHO Jesse was until watching Graham's series (of interviews). Great stuff, Graham. You have educated me/freed me of my ignorance about a man who-unduly-'gets the dirty end' of the stick. Thanks very much for sharing this with us. 🙏

Hearing Jesse say the things he said hit home with me. I never drank or did drugs nor did I cheat on anyone but I suffer with bipolar disorder. In some ways the fear of living with a untreated me is just as bad or worse cause my ex never knew when I might flip script on her. I'm sitting here alone trying to put my life back together after my last freak out and going to get help was my first positive move. I hope one day to be at peace within myself and with what I lost. Thanks for sharing.

Use your bi polar to your advantage don’t think of it as disadvantage
You will learn to love and embrace yourself and realize it is a gift not a burden. Once you realize that you will soar.
I feel that my bi polar/ ocd while could be within my body chemistry was certainly genetic and refined by actions of family that inadvertently made it even worse as its traits were singled out and built upon by parents

It took going through a type of therapy called emdr for me to finally get myself straightened out. I've been to more treatment centers than I can count on both hands, suicide attempts, two helicopter rides, ambulances, lost all friends, family, that I'm just now getting to rebuild relationships with. But life is really good now. Anyway.. thanks Jesse you're an inspiration to many.

Hey Jesse I have the most respect for you and your work. I grow up in Long Beach and went to Cabrillo high. I’ll tell you I couldn’t wait in till I was off from school just to past by your shop walking and looking all the bikes and cars. It was the only thing that kept me up in school. That was in 2005. I own my own Harley but I wish it was made by West Coast Choppers. Now I live in Wisconsin since late 06. I miss walking by your shop.. I miss it.. hope it’s all good brother. And I’m representing West Coast Choppers in the Midwest!! Proud to wear your Gear. Thanks for the good times and memories. Juan Torres

But when a clarified moment hits you and usually when your sober and your mind is clear and you start to reflect back on your situation you start to wake up from your zombie experiences that you now are soooooo tired of and finally make a change for the better!

You know, I've never been a big fan. His early false claims of being a decedent of the outlaw really turned me off. And his swagger and overall attitude was off putting.
But having gone through my own triumphs and failures I have developed a new found respect for what he's been through and ultimately how he's handled it and dealt with it.
He fucked up, but he learned from it. Lot's of people make the same mistakes their whole lives and never learn, Jesse learned.
    Everybody deserves a second chance.

carhead: The vast majority of humanities poor decisions as individuals comes from ignorance about life, pain caused by others, and life tragedies beyond our control. All of these pains and not knowing how to heal and handle the deep pain of these wounds. therefore we simply recycle or pain and toxic behaviors to others. Sorry buddy, humans aren’t constantly maliciously trying to be dickheads. Just a bunch of hurt kids in adult bodies. Let your draconian thinking go. I befriended a 63 year woman once who was wonderful and thoughtful and 7 years old in her heart and mind. But she hated herself, was a drunk and as she put it, a whore, with a continual life long progression of fucking up. LETS LABEL HER RIGHT? Let’s put her in the category of “bad person”. Right? Oh wait before we do. She was still 7 in her 63 year old body because that’s the age she was when her neighbor raped her.
Car head: your not better than Jesse or anyone. I’m not either. We are broken children trying to make our way through. And yes we can at times have it really good and still choose to be selfish and “dickheads” but it is the lesser by far of our human problems. I wish you and anyone reading this the best in life and the best of wishes to your personal healing.
