- Made in 1978 Tokyo Siren Company hand crank fog horn. Compacts neatly and fits into a wood box. Audible range is 1 1/2 miles. Made mostly of cast aluminum and steel. Winds up like a siren and a push button opens the veins to make the sound.
Lots of practical and fun uses. - Авто та транспорт
As a horn/siren enthusiast. I envy your find. The durability and craftsmanship shines through before you even get it out of the box. You may possess a true rarity due to its nature and to me one of the most badass sirens ever know to man. This device has a timeless design and function, which gives it huge potential for restoration . You can look at a restoration as an investment in your hobby and you can just about guarantee a financial gain if you decide to part with it. The cost of reproducing relics of this caliber would cost several thousands of dollars and is highly impractical due to simple economics.
I say you have a bonafide relic.
For those of you wondering, the button to make it louder is for Morse, instead of flashing lights, it's quiet and loud tones
I could use it for Tornado Warnings!
A TORNADO SIREN!!
they sound it when godzilla comes through
LOL
Beautiful Horn I've just got the exact same model as yours and am so happy with it its so LOUD it's Unbelievable. :D Great Video. Keep up the great work. Nick.
The Red Button open the Ports of the Siren, for give an Morse-Signal!
Sounds just like a Gamewell diaphone.
Doesn’t sound like one. It maybe did a little when he opened the damper
I've got a Norwegian pattern horn, inside of the box. It stays that way for general use.
I remember this video... First time I watched this video was back in 2009
cool
I need that for my neighbors at 2 AM. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I already have a siren for new years eve! it barely works and is still a prototype D:
you should go to the siren grave yard and fix it

Fog horn?
I have exact same one but mine is from 73 of January no box tho...... What's a good price to sell
why do you need to extend the intake horn? does it force more air?
It lowers the tone.
Makes it louder
“shot on an android”
ebay i m goin for it
Your neighbors probably wish you never had that
I only sound it when Mothra or Godzilla show up.
@@amtk415w lol
Can this really be hear 1 1/2 miles away??? That is literally impossible for a small siren like this
Sound travels very far over open water
Projectors affect sound output however; the thunderbolt wouldn’t be as loud as it is if it wasn’t for the outswung horn (and the blower, I know, but still)
Pulse Attack
Where to buy?
Ada saya punya merek tokyo japan sama persis harga di watsap
Saya punya sirine tokyo japan nego di watsap
Try spinning it really fast
How old is this video and why the hell am I watching it
It`s from 2012, and maybe you just got into air raid siren, I sure know I did for 2 hours...
The fact that they put a horn from the front was absolutlely pointless.
Actually, no. The longe the horn, the lower the tone. A lower frequency carries farther than a higher one. If you watch a marching band, notice that you will hear the bass drum in the distance first.
The horn is an intake
sounds like a fart siren lol
