Very cool! Thanks for sharing, man. Some sort of motion setup is in my future. I will have to pick your brain more on this one later. Take care, buddy!
Had my RS Mega plus paired with Thanos Controller for 2 years. The kit is amazing and affordable. So just upgraded to the traction loss system. It's the best imersive and affordable experience I have ever had an motion Sim hands down!!
I often wonder if I should have just saved a little longer and pulled the trigger on everything at once. But, nobody ever died from being patient and saving more money to complete a full dream lol
I had to put some extra bracing on my lower frame as the Mega was literally twisting my rig, also 8040. Put some double right angle brackets to strengthen additionally and it is more than stable now. The main metal noise comes mainly from the seatrails as they are not very good option for such motion. I have 12 shakers but quite differently setup, only 2 of them directly on frame so they are barely audible. RS itself is very quiet system once you tighten and strengthen everything properly.
Thank you so much for this write-up. I just ordered four quadruple hole 80 profile corner gussets. I'm also going to add a couple more sections to their ladder frame underneath that should make a big difference. I often wondered if it was my seat making that noise and I think that you're right, it might be it.
This is awesome! I just bought the RS Mega+ as I do heli flight simming in VR. Do you happen to know what the T slot size is on their actuators and if it comes with mounting brackets?
I don't think it's necessary but would sure be nice ! I do have a few concerns regarding more notion while the screens stay stable. There could be a bit too much paralz. By where you move differently than the perceived movement of the car . I hope that makes sense
I can agree with you. I had to purchase a six unit server cabinet. They fit in their super tidy and it's a nice way to control your wiring. But it's the size of a massive computer on its side. So for some people that is not an option in terms of space. Fortunately I have a dedicated Sim room and have plenty of space around the floor where I can tidally hide this away
All the answers to your questions lie in the description of this video and if you have more questions go to my main UA-cam page. The featured video shows my whole setup how I put it together from the start
@@DaSimSimma ohh thats faster then i expected! Do you think there Will be a problem attaching them to the p1x pro rig? Its the one with the angled bars to the wheel?
Sorry no familiar with that one ..but it attached on the outside . So if you have a spot , you simply bolt it . I made my rig a bit custom so I can lengthen it . This way I can have a centered position. Even so ..I'm sitting almost on top of the rear actuators ...maybe a few inches forward
@@DaSimSimma oh okay Im starting to understand some of the concept where to mount it. Did you buy a EMI filter? Or no problems with bluetooth/Sterings wheel cuting out?
I have no idea what an Emi filter is so that tells you the answer right there. Lol Don't have it and I don't know what it does and I don't seem to have any problems where I'm looking for solutions like Emi.
I mentioned in the video that it might not be enough. And what I mean by that is you're going to be fine, but it's going to creak and it's going to twist under you. Like aluminum does and you're going to feel it. You'll need at least a 120/40 rig which is a triple extrusion rig. Now, the option is to enforce the rig which is what I'm going to do to mine to add a couple cross braces but that just increases weight. No worries. The system can handle all the way up to 800 lb including the rider
I think that effect is available but I don't use it because I have five base shakers on my rig. I have a tutorial on my channel how to set up five of them. I get all my haptics through my five base shakers. One of them is underneath my seat for engine and gear changes
I tried the engine haptics and I think it's similar to the gear. It basically shakes the rig a little bit. But you have to know that if it's shaking the rig for engine and gear, it's also shaking it for the orientation of the vehicle. So something has to give it. Can't do all of it at once. That's why I try to reduce some of these haptics and put them on somewhere else like my base shakers
These types of full motion simulators are quite expensive. They can go all the way up to $9,000 and sometimes even more. In the context of that, this can be considered one of the most affordable.

I love to talk a little bit more about this with you. Because I'm truly in awe and in love But I only have this as reference.
Great store and and I’m digging this motion setup can’t wait to see a setup/open box type video soon
Thanks for the 120 / 40 tip. This is in my future plans and I won't waste any money on a weaker rig.
Had no clue this existed. Thanks!
A little lift in the long right-hander would help 😉

i would have loved to see it in truck sim too. as I am also an avid fan of ATS.
Check out my channel ! That was the first video I made about the system hahahha

The mounting brackets are attached to the actuators when I got mine . Hope that helps .
The website is so confusing. Can you make a video of the kit, you bought. or the kit you put together.
Great Video. I've yet to squeeze the trigger on e racing lab. Is surge and traction loss necessary from your opinion? Thanks for sharing.

What are you motion setting? Trying to set these up in Simlabs and have some trouble
Do you mean sim racing studio ? Btw I moved on and now use Simhub for motion simulation. SRS Wasa disaster . Wish I never spent the money .
Can you share the hardware details ? The model and make of the screens, how did you plug 3 screens to the GPU etc etc?

@@DaSimSimma thanks
Looks great, just put a order on the mega rs+ myself. How long did you have to wait for it to be delivered?
How about 5 to 7 days Max? If I remember. The only problem is they split the shipment so you might get one before the other

I have a 32inch triple screen setup stand a long monitor stand will this work ?

How is $2600 the “most affordable motion”? You got me all excited 🤣😂

I was about to purchase dbox for $7000 then found this for $3000 shipped. So yea it’s a lot cheaper lol
