This Savatage album was one of many produced by the late-great Paul O'Niell - who founded - along with Savatage, the act we know today as Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Great work, by the way!

Out of all the terrific music they make, my single most favorite moment in any of the songs and/or shows is when Al Pitrelli of the West Group holds those guitar high notes...I know nothing about instruments so not sure of the technical name for those. F 22s? So cool that you posted this and I got to see those up close. 👍🤟😉

I think the OG Al Pitrelli/Chris Caffery lineup were the only ones I've seen play it the way it was recorded.

Awesome! What do you think about missing the feel of a real valve amp where the output valves fight the inductance of the valve output transformer which itself is competing with the inductance of the speakers? I guess the future is going to be perfect sound modelling but not real amp response.

The music for the carol comes from the song written by the Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych in 1914.
My dad knew the drummer for savatage since he lived behind him As a kid.
