Kai is my favourite blade. It's more comfortable than the Feather. It becomes silky smooth after the first shave and lasts up to five useful shaves.
In did, the only problem is the availability and the high price.

I tried 1 kai blade and 2 or 3 feather blades. Both good, both sharp; but Feather was sharper, smoother, and gave me more shaves per blade.
I haven't tried any blade more than three times, that's the maximum i use a blade so can't compare longevity of them.
I like them both, but depending on the razor i feel that the feather is a small bit harsher in the first shave then the Kai, but not in all the razors. That in my opinion of course.

My experiences were different than what you report to us here. Sharp as it was, the Kai blade I could feel the blade cutting the hair and could also hear the hair as being cut. Feathers' first couple of uses, I could feel almost nothing and could hear nothing, yet the blade WAS cutting the hair very effectively.
Ok, i recorded my experience and said how it felt on the spot. Had people saying that they felt the same and other the same as you. In this is not just the blade that counts, the tipe of hair and skin we have plays a big part in it, so always take it with a grain of salt.

Happy shaving to you, sir. I need to try the Kai, which I recently purchased. Had razor burns from using the Feather. My neck is too sensitive & I heard Kai is fantastic for sensitive skin. No irritations from blades like Astra green, but need to try other blades a little sharper than Astra to compare closeness.

@@Double-Y Will do, sir. As I am waiting on the Kai blade, I will update that I had the closest shave ever with the Parker 91R combined with the Shark stainless blades. Now I need to see if it's the razor or the blade or perhaps both. Since I have a coarse beard and sensitive skin, I highly recommend people try Shark blades. See if the results are great.
Like shark blades but have been using Bic more now, they are really sharp and smooth for my skin. As for the Parker i have the 64 S, love it, all 3 piece Parkers have the same head the only thing that changes is the handle. Waiting for your feedback.

have not tried feather yet. I do like the Kai better than Astras smoother lasts longer.
Kai is lovely, the Feather is lovely to for me but some people complain that is a bit to harsh on the first use.

@@Double-Y I have been getting really good performance out of Gillette Silver Blue in this razor as well. Especially for when my skin is sensitive, pimples, or cut like on this video. I think after watching this video, ill probably order just a 5 pack of the Kai blades to try out at first.
@@Double-Y The gillette silver blue seems sharp enough to cut but also very smooth. The blades are "teflon" coated.
Glad to hear that, sometimes really sharp blades don't mean they're the best, it all depends, to many variants.
