As I've said to many other reactors, he will NEVER stop surprising you with what he can do; his range is ridiculous, he can do just about any genre with ease - and he brings every nuance of emotion to everything he sings. More Dan Vasc, please!! He has over 200 covers on his UA-cam channel. Pick any one of them, and you will not be disappointed. He produces out of his studio in his garage. He has put in hours and hours and hours. He did a 10-year anniversary video on his channel that covers his growth via Disney's Tarzan "Go the Distance." Just fun to watch. He sings anything from Nessunĥ Dorma to Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart"

You have only scratched the surface of what this man can do vocally. He has voiced your own comments: He doesn't believe in talent. He believes in working hard and becoming skilled at what you are doing. He has done that for over 13 years. He is now 34 and he is a Brazilian YT singer who records for his garage studio. He does everything himself. He has guest guitarists play on some of his videos. He originally started with his band called Fearless and they have 1 album. He sings almost every genre of music from metal to opera, classic rock, movie and Broadway songs, acoustic, etc. so you can have have him on any day of the week. You really should see all of his Witcher covers. He has a playlist of them. They are all incredibly good, just like this one. He is a gamer, too, and Witcher 3 is his favorite. Daniel Vasconcelos from Brazil is also a games and has many gaming videos with other players. He doaes podcasts and other stuff he does with gamers.

Your comments on talent and work are interesting because Dan apparently doesn’t like to consider himself talented. He considers himself a person who has worked very hard. Personally, I acknowledge all his hard work, but I also think the talent must be present as a foundation.

Welcome to the Dan Vasc universe. He was classically trained. I was excited when I heard your intro and how you were into The Witcher and knew your reaction would me so much fun. Dan Vasc is an exceptional singer and performer. His sheer musicianship is breathtaking. Everything he does is absolutely amazing. His ability to build up a song by adding
his own brand of intensity, energy , passion and his own style and personality is just off the

Dan was obsessed with gaming by age 8. He often appears playing & discussing games, movies, culture, etc. on Geeks & Gamers panels. Also guests often on Fri. Night Tights, Nerdrotics, and Side Scrollers. Must check out his interaction with his gaming friends. You might appreciate his humor. I was impressed by his knowledge of the record industry and culture of the current film industry. As a Brazilian, he is extremely proficient explaining a myriad of topics in English - which is not his first language. He is man of many talents and opinions. Before he learned that outros on videos affect the algorithms and monetization, he did outros on most of his earlier videos. You can learn more about him if you watch those.

Since you're a fan of the Witcher series & games like Dan is, try his other Witcher covers which are Toss a Coin to the Witcher, Song of the White Wolf, & 2 versions of Priscilla's Song (Wolven Storm) from the game. Then just go crazy exploring everything else he's done from folk & opera to 80s & heavy metal. Enjoy the journey. As for Dan's eyes, he did use colored lenses to try to look like a Witcher, but admits in his notes that his eyes were so dark that he ended up looking more like a Twilight character. Lol.

If you want an idea of what to watch, not on metal day, check out his version of Gethsemane from the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. His performance is way BEYOND Broadway!

Great reaction! Dan is absolutely phenomenal. In this one he actually wore some contact lenses to try to get the "witcher eyes" but because of the natural color of his eyes, in his words, it came out looking like he was something out of the "Twilight" movies. You should check out the first Witcher cover he ever did: Toss a Coin to Your Witcher. He also did two covers of Priscilla's Song from the game -- one metal version and one acoustical version. Head down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. He can sing everything from opera, to Disney, to metal - though metal is his preferred genre. He's also a gamer, BTW!

Wow, you managed to nail an almost perfect description of Dan on your first exposure to one of his performances. Dan doesn’t tout his “talent”, he’s been working on his voice for over a decade to get it where it is today. He is proud yet very humble about his vocal skills and would be the first to admit that it has taken a lot of hard work to be able to do what he can do. His first video is still on his channel so you can compare that to his current performances. This is a rabbit hole worth exploring that goes from opera to heavy metal and every mix of the two between. His charisma and emotion pulls you right in. Dan Vasc can send goosebumps from the tip of your head to your toes. He does everything from opera to metal. Some videos you should see are Gethsemane, Phantom of the Opera, Battle Hymn, Black Wind Fire and Steel(holding of notes in this one is unreal). He does a lot of Nightwish covers. He does American Trilogy an Elvis cover that will bring you to tears. He recorded it 5 days after his Father passed in 2017. His Father was a big Elvis fan. You won't be sorry no matter what you listen to.

The first piece I heard by him was Amazing Grace and it remains my favorite. I’m not religious but it is a gorgeous piece of music and he gave it new life. It is simply stunning.
I’m not a metal fan so have only sampled some of his pieces and have passed this by. But I saw you were reacting to it so gave it a try. It won’t ever be my favorite, but my god, his range and versatility!! Now I need to go back and try something else I’ve passed by.

You can see the classical and metal voice training that he has - he’s worked very hard on his voice and his singing, and in my opinion, as a voice junkie for many years, he’s the most versatile and surprising singer I’ve ever heard. You need to watch Toss a Coin to Your Witcher! He uses his garage studio, does all the recording, mixing, mastering, himself. Refuses to go mainstream (i.e., contracts, concerts) and prefers just to do covers. He is AWESOME.

I am 74 year old woman who has not been a metal fan. Dan Vasc has changed my mind about what metal can be. The man has pipes!! May I suggest as an example of metal for fun Dan's version of My Heart Will Go On.

Dan wrote and performs the theme song to Friday Night Tights.
His video "My Top 10 Singing Influences" lists the singers and techniques he learned from each one.
Fabio Lione and the band Rhapsody of Fire was an early favorite of Dan's. Recently Fabio came to Brazil. He and Dan, accompanied by Dan's band Fearless did a cover of Rhapsody's song Dawn of Victory. It was recorded in Dan's studio in his garage. The joy of these two performing together is so moving.
Dan is sooo close to his goal of 1,000,000 subscribers. He is at 983K on April 5, 2024.

There is both a metal and a traditional version of Priscilla's song. My suggestion would be that you do the metal one first. Dan created that one first, then started getting requests for the other, lighter one. That's my favorite version of it, though I also totally love the metal version.
