Fantastic video. Thank you for sharing. Yet, I do agree with those commentators who would prefer this without the music. To be able to hear the ocean sound from the video recording would be just as exciting as being invited into the visual experience.
this video is the best I've seen because you can easily see how big, hollow, long and heavy the waves is when you look down the tube. it goes so far back it legit looks fake. and u can see even the foam ball is pretty sweet. great clip...I wanna see more back tube vids
+crackerjackfilms When you fall in a big barrel, sometimes you get pushed down, right out the back. I've had it happen on much smaller, but big closeouts
Theses angles can take your breathe away ..... in the future shot it at the Highest Quality all in slow motion ... so people can really appreciate the depth and weight of the wave, other than that GREAT VIDEO.
sometimes i think besides a great video recorder like already exist....a company should develop a great AUDIO surfers recorder because the inside barrel natural sound....properly recorded should be amazing...
aint no stopping Garrett even at 50 the dude just keeps getting better and braver ..say what ever happened to Liam McNamara ??? really used to dig that dudes surfing with trade mark helmet ..I hope he doing ok ??
I Never knew the inside of teahupo barrels sounded like a euro night club
Me neither, but I like it ;)

Why?? It fits perfectly
I love the sound of the bubbles just after the 2nd wave gets him.
you'd think that a surfer would appreciate hearing the wave...
I'm talking about the music on this video you dumb ass.
luke gardener- he was talking about the music, dumbass
@CoreForEinsLife But can you turn on the sound of waves
@Martin Luther no it wasn't

BESIDES CODE RED, THIS IS THE SICKEST FOOTAGE OF TEAHUPOO IVE EVER SEEN
I will never know what it feels like but now I know what it looks like inside those waves. Great upload!
It sucks, it's like being tossed around in a huge washing machine while drowning.
That was one of the best Teahupoo videos I've seen. Its a whole new prospective!
Hands down, the greatest GoPro video ever.
Gotta love the beauty and power of Teahupo'o.
I can confidently say that will never be me so appreciate the first person perspective....has to be freaking awesome!!!!

This is priceless... thanks for the legendary shooting!!
Vid was epic once I chiseled out my eardrums with an ice pic and watched it in silence.
Dude the music is as epic as the vid!!
That is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen. Good Job on surviving BTW.
Watching what that barrel is doing from behind is freakin amazing!
Uhhh that hold down was like 4 seconds and that's teaphoo... Did u cut the hold down footage
+crackerjackfilms Probably, can't see much when you're spinning underwater. They probably didn't want people to get bored.
Stevie!!SD
its definetely cutted, look at this whitewater
+crackerjackfilms When you fall in a big barrel, sometimes you get pushed down, right out the back. I've had it happen on much smaller, but big closeouts
My friend says sometimes it bounces you back up at a certain point up pretty fast. I dont know never went there but i know what your talking about.
Thanks for all the camera angles bro, that is the closest experience I'll ever get to that beautiful heavy beast
That back angle!! Awesome to have full perspective, thx.
How hard is that mist spraying out barrel like hard enough to knock you off ?
Wadda Trip, three times over.....thanks for the lift, is the meter still running?
I recognized that 3rd angle from a main cover of a surfing magazine!
Omg thank you for posting that incredible!!!! God gave you a talent and I'm happy you embraced it!!! Much love
Great footage from some unique angles. Thanks mate.
Say what you will about Garrett, he has experienced more great and epic waves than almost any person who has ever lived, period.
That's some great footage right there. Majorly enjoyed! Thanks!
ABSOLUTELLY AWESOME! GMAC IS A LEGEND! NICE VIDEO!
Thank you for given us this footage
Love how Gmac stands tall for da tube 🌊
Amazing video! Please upload more like this! I hope you complete the barrel next time!
wow I never really realized just how much water gets sucked up until seeing this video the transition on the wave is so gnarly
An absolute f*cking bomb of a wave. I want to see you doing more of this (and making it) in 2020 GMAC!!!
Legend. I love surfing! U are the best
That was scary even behind this screen.
Great video Garett!!
When the music first started, it kind of sounded like Too Many Zoos for a second.
DUUUDDE GREAT VIDEO!!! Thats the angle of teahupo i always wanted to see. Keep sending more
What brand of knee brace are you wearing
Cool!! This insane barrel ... congratulations from Natal Brasil... Filipe
Wow, its like a giant blue tunnel, it’s terrifying and beautiful at the same time
Such a good shot of the foam-ball, like a rocket igniting.
MAAAAASSSIIIIIVE,SIMPLY AMAZING SURFING...we are waiting for you in Nazar'e this fall
Probably still the best surf footage ever filmed
Man... How did u get back to the safe zone after the wipeout ??!
Song ?: plz
the best video man ever!
Cool video Garret McNamara.
You crazy!!!!!
The people saying something about the music dont care about surfing enough just mute your damn phone
I wanted to hear that wave..whatever happened to Liam?
Beautiful perfection @1:11, 😆, Garrett still killing it😲
The sudden height the rider gains at 1:00 and the subsequent drop is never quite seen in 3rd person videos. God bless GoPro!
Wow. How old is GM?
wow that just blew my mind. not many people get a chance to see that holy crap!!
Awesome Wave Video!
Great Vids of Teahupoo :) Tahiti
Man we love the view of the cavern
such skill, super jealous of the skill you boys have 👌👌
If he likes the music - so what? Awesome footage!
wow, awesome camera angles

that is heavy Garrett. I have watched countless vids on Teahupoo and know that I could not ride it. It must be the most difficult wave to ride.
Cara amei o video as ondas perfeitas !!! A se eu foce SURFISTA iria mora ai tahiti felicidade !!! a todosssss!!!!!!!!
Totally Insane video!
Man ive stared at the inside of a barrel at my local break .. but this is just wrong.. that shit is nasty ...
Some of the best angles I've seen. Now do a super slo mo like "Code Red".
What a curtain, that was deeeeeep !
He wiped out close to the channel maybe that's why the hold down wasn't that long
no paddling....?
The 'green room' personified!
🙏 And That Was The Full Feeling Right There 🙏
OMG!!!!! So insane 😲!! Mega Respect!!!
whats the song?
that break spits you out so bad... yipes 2 sec. hold?
Awesome footage
Name of music please ???
More forward footage. That was awesome.
damn that music is peak early 2010's "extreme sports" cliche
music is so lame

Excellent....
Is he wearing some kinda airbag?
Wouldn't doubt it's a short hold down since it's only like what 6 feet deep.

Garret, what is it like when you see the tube closing on this wave, I would imagine it would be one of those "ah shit" moments right?
Holy shit that place scares me to death. These guys that do this stuff are crazy!!
I am back 8 months later and that is still fucking sick.
Sick!
Crazy. The only word I can say, crazy.
