Hi This is Nado from China, regarding the "why this still have a switch for headlight" , The answer is : CFMOTO is a Chinese brand, CF650NK also popular in China, and , the most important thing is Chinese need this headlight switch to turn off the light :) Otherwise some kindly people will reminder you that : "Hey, you forgot to turn off your headlight" but anyway, CF650 should follow the rule in other country that : Motobike should keeping headlight open on the road and not able to switchoff until you pull your key off. Thanks for your video , I like this.
I purchased the 2015 NKS model earlier this year, so far no mechanical issues but a couple of things like battery dying, brake light semi-faulty (some LED's intermittently die) and plastic bits vibrating against the body/frame (which was fixed). Other than that, the CST tyres aren't so bad... The grip is surprisingly very good but they don't seem to give you the same levels of confidence. The front brakes are incredibly strong, during my P's test it stopped so fast from 30kph the front wheel was only half the distance to the BEGINNING of the measurement lines. The tester thought I had ABS on my bike and I was the only one on the day to brake before the beginning of those measurement lines.
Not for learners alright! I've got 12,500ks on mine now, and it's been great fun. I use it for commuter travel, but it performs well all round. I have had a lot of small problems, most of which were fixed on warranty (included the original dash which fell apart), and now plan to see how far I can get on it before it falls apart. Looks like I'll be replacing parts (sprockets, chains, discs etc.) with Jap or other pieces, but that's just me. Some of the bike is cheap, but they seem to be fixing this gradually. Great video, sums it up pretty well. Take one of these and punish it!
@@dani.0605 I sold it years ago, it was just too crap. Got the equivalent Kawasaki instead and it's been far better all round. I'd never recommend CFMoto, just too poorly made.
When I typed the model into the search I wasn't expecting to see the reviewer ride past my mates place haha The bike's origin definitely suits the suburb you were riding in. Great review mate. Cheers.
Hi Pip, your video is very informative, I have cf 650 nk 2013, i consider this bike to be very reliable. I did few trips in china on bad roads, good road, high road etc. Could you please make videos on riding position , foot position for riding cf 650nk and Hand grip on throttle. I'm having trouble with right shoulder pain and i can't get the foot position right in other terms cant get the weight on foot either in normal position or on balls of feet. I'm close to 6.0feet. Appreciate your help.
It is a good learner bike as long as you can keep the brakes smooth and live with the build quality being a Chinese bike. My personal pick would be something like a Honda CBR500 or even a Triumph Street Triple learner model if you have the cash :)
Mate I purchased a brand new one 4 weeks ago its been back in the workshop 3 times riding at low speed its like riding a wild bull it keeps jerking like its missing and every time I go around a roundabout I take my life into my own hands I took it back they keep it for a couple of hours tell me its fixed and within 15 minutes of riding it away it starts jerking again and the engine management light keeps coming on and staying on. Not happy Jan

Its considered arrogant in Chinese culture to ride with lights on in the day.
