For those who are confused, Mondstadt doesn't have an official Main Theme, the one here is just a random soundtrack from the area, which is why it feels short and out of place here. I think the closest thing we have to a full rendition of Mondstadts unreleased full theme is probably the second track, "mondstadt (full concert version)", from the 2021 live genshin concert. Since it's live it's not the same quality of recording we're used to for the other regions, but at least it does exist. An official recording probably also exists, the genshin wiki mentions it playing in some trailers, but I haven't been able to find it.

The closest thing in my opinion, the ost from the gliding cutscene it has very similar leitmotif as the one from the travail cutscene. Surely it sounded like Genshin main theme but also different at the same time. The track is called Legend of the wind.
the main theme of the game should be mondstadt as its canonically a song created by the anemo archon and is known worldwide (as seen in events and hence the hints of it in every other bit of music in game) it also serves as a reminder that as much as other nations like us, mondstadt was the first to ever open their arms to the traveler, its also the only nation where the first person we meet is actually the archon themself. natlan and fontaine are the closest ive felt to the traveler finding another home besides mondstadt yet with everything going on in those places traveler definitely misses mondstadt.
Brooo Fontaine is God Tier it sounds so rebellious!! especially the buildup to the end. It's has a happy exterior but deep rebellious theme underneath! Natlan sounds so heroic, really pumps you up for battle, with rebirth at the end. While liyue sounds like happy ending when you have concluded your journey!
My list fav : 6. Mondstadt (I thought it was too short but it was memorable and felt like a home) 5. Liyue (Good, I like the last accent part but Chinese tone is not my taste) 4. Inazuma (This is also good, The melody is very soft And I love it when the arrangement plays the music it) 3. Sumeru (There is no denying that this music is very exciting and very good, especially when the ukulele is being played like man It's so bangers) 2. Man it feels crazy just even to think of that the nation i waited for most has recently come to its end which is Fontaine. i didn't ask anything from this nation but just wanted it to release, eagerly waited its debut. But man? This nation ate? Music?plot? characters?underwater exploration?lore? Everything about this nation is astronomical i cant even explain. (Still my best ) I was initially waiting for Fontaine and snezhnayan most after watching teyvat chapter back in 1.2 when i joined.but so far natlan seems neat as well. i cant understand your take more. fontaine not only gained a permanent place in my soul, but made one of the most amazing pieces of content in the industry, personally. Its all beautiful and confusing, cant really explain. I think that the music took an amazing part in this. And overall, it will last forever in my mind.
Honestly, I had very low expectations for Fontaine. Hoyo went and made it the single best piece of media I have ever experienced. At this point, I have learned to never underestimate Hoyo again. Every nation I have expected it to not be very good, and every time it has blown my expectations out of the water.
Fontaine is definitely top for me. It feets the mysterious vibe of the country while also sounding like a drmatic waves of emotion with tragedy near the end but refuses to be a still water, a rebellion against fate, which sums up its archon quest as well as its history.
One of the main reason I play this game, is the music is just fire.They used an instrument from where the region was inspired by. Plus including the characters trailers, they had me play the game. I haven't played Natlan yet because of school.

Many still shit on Fontaine's music. But i cant blame them. If you don't have classical music background or appreciation for them, then you will hate Fontaine. But for me as a classical pianist, Fontaine still is peak.

I really think that Mondstadt (full concert ver.) is supposed to be the Mondstadt's main theme. It has similar structure to Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru (several in-game melodies with nice transitions and additional parts) and also the length is just right. It's so sad they never released it and you couldn't put it here...

My top 3 would be 1. Fontaine - still gives me goosebumps, festive and tragedic at the same time 2. Natlan - also gives me goosebumps, heroic and something I'd hear on independence day 3. Inazuma - elegant and powerful. gives me delulu confidence
Sumeru just makes me happy and feeling of nostalgia and magic. It kind of reminds me of music from this game I used to play as a kid called Wizard101 and I just loved it

What is tier, i just gonna type what every city theme i feel 1. Mondstad - Fun and bubbly, like a sunny morning on vacation day 2. Liyue - Jumpy and active, it's like a busy night market or festivals 3. Inazuma - Very misterius and elegant, like geisha dancing slowly with a fan in her hand 4. Sumeru - It's like a song for adventure, the culture, dance, pilgrimage, danger, misteries, misterius places, puzzles, people you meet along the way, friends you share your adventures with, new cities, new landscapes 5. Fontaine - at first it's like silent cries, but slowly there's something misterius going on, then it's like some kind of dangerous things lurking under but no one realized it until it build up, then struggle... struggle with cries, and someone dies... Technically someone actually ded so 🥲... But it's happy ending after tho😢 6. Natlan - THE STRUGGLE! It's really a song for heroes in war and struggle against enemy for so many decades long. There's so much sadness in this song, but the sadness is the reason for keep awake, life, even though we're struggling but our spirit is strong so we will keep standing 🥲 (tbh this being my most favorite region theme is actually because it can lift my feeling) in the name of Natlan
No it does not. The closest thing is the thing from the concert which just does not compare to an actual theme, probably due to Mondstat not having a full story to cover with a song in the first place.

If we're going off of Travail, Liyue's Travail theme is "Moon in One's Cup", Inazuma and Sumeru's Travail themes ended up being the main region themes, Fontaine's main theme is different but the Travail theme is still there as a different soundtrack called "Caliginous Hearthfire", and as far as I know we have not heard Natlan's Travail theme yet

Don’t get me wrong, it's beautiful, but It feels out of place… the other themes only have instrumentals with some vocals... It would actually be quite interesting if all nation’s main theme had lyrics in their respective languages. like la vaguelette in fontaine, and yun jin's song in liyue... imagine mondstadt with a german song, and sumeru with an arabian song or whatever nation it is based on, as well as in snezhnaya which I think is russian? Tbh, Natlan is pretty different from every other nation the first time it was even introduced... • It doesn't have a main city. • It has a different Ley Line network (Night Kingdom), and this is what also makes it the easiest nation for the Abyss to invade due to its reconstructed Ley Lines. • Anyone can be an Archon thanks to the rules established by Xbalanque and Ronova, and this is why they have human Archons that still die when it's time. This is also the reason why they're the only nation where they had countless people that served as the Archon in their history. • It also seems that they're the nation where most of the lore stuff began (Phlogiston, Seelies, dragons, etc.).

Natlan, my favourite!!!
I always wondered why Fontaine's theme sounded so sad, and then Masquerade of the Guilty came out.
What is tier, i just gonna type what every city theme i feel
1. Mondstad - Fun and bubbly, like a sunny morning on vacation day
2. Liyue - Jumpy and active, it's like a busy night market or festivals
3. Inazuma - Very misterius and elegant, like geisha dancing slowly with a fan in her hand
4. Sumeru - It's like a song for adventure, the culture, dance, pilgrimage, danger, misteries, misterius places, puzzles, people you meet along the way, friends you share your adventures with, new cities, new landscapes
5. Fontaine - at first it's like silent cries, but slowly there's something misterius going on, then it's like some kind of dangerous things lurking under but no one realized it until it build up, then struggle... struggle with cries, and someone dies... Technically someone actually ded so 🥲... But it's happy ending after tho😢
6. Natlan - THE STRUGGLE! It's really a song for heroes in war and struggle against enemy for so many decades long. There's so much sadness in this song, but the sadness is the reason for keep awake, life, even though we're struggling but our spirit is strong so we will keep standing 🥲 (tbh this being my most favorite region theme is actually because it can lift my feeling) in the name of Natlan
I love how Natlan is the only one here that has vocals!
I don't know it Snezhnaya will have it though, probably, but it's interesting!

Mondstadt has a main theme, and it is beautiful, that is certainly not it.
No it does not. The closest thing is the thing from the concert which just does not compare to an actual theme, probably due to Mondstat not having a full story to cover with a song in the first place.

If we're going off of Travail, Liyue's Travail theme is "Moon in One's Cup", Inazuma and Sumeru's Travail themes ended up being the main region themes, Fontaine's main theme is different but the Travail theme is still there as a different soundtrack called "Caliginous Hearthfire", and as far as I know we have not heard Natlan's Travail theme yet

They just stopped using them when Yu Peng Chen left. Not sure why. Maybe because Dimeng Yuan has a different style?

The track "The city favored by wind" is not the Mondstadt Theme. The true theme was only played once during the "Melodies of an Endless Journey 2021" concert and is a complication of "Knights of Favonius", "Bustling Afternoon in Mondstadt", & "Another Day in Mondstadt".

@@icraveaffection I picked the closest we have to an official Mondstadt theme within the released OST albums. There does exist an official theme but it was played for the 2021 orchestra concert. Still, I'll use the 2021 concert version the next time I make this video :)

@@cat_ball1n It's used in one of their concerts, but as for the OST albums there isn't one, and I considered only those. I may use the concert version in the future, unless they release the official theme for an hypothetical Mondstadt expansion (which would be cool tbh)

This is just me being nitpicky, but I dislike Natlan's main theme because it has lyrics... Don’t get me wrong, it's beautiful, but It feels out of place… the other themes only have instrumentals with some vocals...
It would actually be quite interesting if all nation’s main theme had lyrics in their respective languages. like la vaguelette in fontaine, and yun jin's song in liyue... imagine mondstadt with a german song, and sumeru with an arabian song or whatever nation it is based on, as well as in snezhnaya which I think is russian?
But yeah, since only natlan’s main theme had lyrics, it sounds so out of place

Tbh, Natlan is pretty different from every other nation the first time it was even introduced...
• It doesn't have a main city.
• It has a different Ley Line network (Night Kingdom), and this is what also makes it the easiest nation for the Abyss to invade due to its reconstructed Ley Lines.
• Anyone can be an Archon thanks to the rules established by Xbalanque and Ronova, and this is why they have human Archons that still die when it's time. This is also the reason why they're the only nation where they had countless people that served as the Archon in their history.
• It also seems that they're the nation where most of the lore stuff began (Phlogiston, Seelies, dragons, etc.).
yes, natlan main theme is so cringe, the music vibes like world cup music💀💀, people just like the bombastic and energic vibes even though the melody is meh.
