It's astonishing how strong the messaging in this archon Quest has left a impact in me when it comes to the atmosphere of this song every time I hear it now I cannot forget what I felt when going through it and still hurts listening to this beautiful music.
This music is gonna haunt my nightmares The helplessness, the concentration, the pain, the despair, the silence, the struggle, the death Everything came all at once and I was barely able to mentally prepare myself All the lives that were lost, the homes destroyed and the life that they had... It will never be the same, nothing will ever return as it was Two thousand, four thousand or seven thousand. They're just numbers but these are thousands of graves, thousands of tombs, thousands of funerals. Thousands of bodies, thousands of broken families, thousand scars in history. Yet it's all that we're left with. Wide open invisibile wounds, grief, unkept promises and regrets. Yet all that's we're left to do is to mourn and to honour.
The moment the Abyss Heart showed up, this was the moment that I realized this wasn't just any invasion. It is a declaration of war from the Abyss after the 5th hero was found... and war doesn't pick favorites, and only the strongest shall burn bright.
I realized that this was no longer just a game when there were so many bodies lying on the ground that I began to get stuck in them during the battle, stumbling, unable to move on... 😔
This whole section was definitely an intentional part of the design of the quest. The sad reality that, you can't save everyone, no matter how hard you might try. Go to one emergency, but you lose another which gets taken by the Abyss, and countless lives along with it..... It doesn't just emphasize how bad the war or the invasion is, but also the truth that this truly is war. And war will inevitably come with losses.... As Candace said in the 3.1 Trailer after all, "War serves no one."
And the worst thing is that even the places you've saved aren't completely safe because you go back to one of the places you've saved and they tell you that the place was attacked shortly after you left and almost all the guards died and there's only one left that you save when you arrive
paimon crying, traveller depressed, saurians died, people of natlan some got permadead, the strongest harbinger and his army could do nothing against the abyss, mavuika is nearing the end of her life
The music perfectly fed my emotions of loss and despair birthed by the losses I saw due to my choices during my playthrough. I’ve never experienced that kind of “I wanna cry” multiple times. Not during a game. And not during a war I’m playing through.

"Paimon. This is no disaster... This is war." genuinely, no archon quest hit as hard as this one. i'm genuinely afraid for what's going to happen in 5.3
Even before the natlan arcon quest started I knew wherever the abyss is it ain't gonna be good if so many people died in fontaine due to flood in natlan people will die from the abyss. 5.0 was just the start this is where the war began
This Quest - i was surprised - in the moment you get a map with Emerncys and had to chose and a situationlog how bad things are going - you realized - war never changes... I try to save and evacuate as many as passible... (In my head i thought defence less, but all in the Capital) In the situationlog Land after Land fall into the hands of the abyss. In this moment i realized, why Capitano chose the drastic why to repair the laylines - he see this all with the bad outcome for Kheanriah - A lost Kingdom without a archon who could save them... I "like" the showcase with the fatui, so you could symphatize with them too, but holy - the soldiers who tried to protect a mother with her child and the saurien in the tower - all dead only this little one... This quest i rate 11/10
not sure how Traveler would feel about this since his/her sibling as the Prince/Princess is the one directly/indirectly behind all this... I think the sibling at this point is beyond redemption
we're one nation away from Khaenri'ah, and we still don't know the full picture of what's happening. between the fake sky, Celestia being as silent as ever, and The Captain being a Khaenri'an; the Princess still doesn't show her true motives.
Abyss order is different Abyss order is a group of Khaenriah humans turned into alien characters They are manipulating the abyss characters for their advantage to lay down the foundations to fight against Heavenly principles
They aren't the same, and yet the Abyss Order has the same motivation as the abyss. Abyss Order tried to do basically the same thing in Mondstadt. Members of the Abyss Order were seen on the battlefield during war in Natlan (Abyss mages and Heralds). Abyss order is basically an extension of the will of the abyss. Sibling whitewashing is crazy. We don't know this yet, but they may be the one who fucked up Natlan Leylines with loom of fate, opening Natlan to the grand invasion. Sure, they may be brainwashed, but they literally said that they want abyss to engulfthethrones (and judging by the actions of Abyss Order - usual people are enemies too)
Honestly, playing this was the most exhausting, draining experience I had in this game...When I think people were complaining about Natlan feeling too "relaxed"..."Where's war? Where's the blood?"...Well, we got it...And playing this as a Kaeya main heavily invested in any Khaenri'ah/Abyss lore proved even more difficult...If this is Natlan...what will the end be?... On a lighter note: can I use this soundtrack for a commented gameplay? The game sound turned out horrible, I had to remove it and this could make things a bit more enjoyable...
This hits so hard The sense of dread you had playing through the quest was insane It starting pretty alright n u felt like u could actually stand a chance against the tide Just for you to realize that ur efforts arent having too much effect on the overall fight Ur slowly but surely losing ground to the enemy And then the bodies start stacking up as you visit the later places And this music on top of it all was just incredible It truly felt like u were just delaying the inevitable, only ever to play on the defensive And then when it was time to push back and all hope is restored to the people, and in turn you? God damn it was so good ✊️FOR NATLAN!!
Yeah, this part if great. Like a reminder that all that natural beauty of Natlan is now underneath lots of unpleasant things. Almost as if tarnished. It feels bad
After you walk into a village and you see 50 children, all sitting neatly in a row, against a wall each with their throats cut and their hands chopped off, you realize that the creature that could do this doesn't have a soul.
I hope we'll get a proper confrontation between the Traveler and the Abyss sibling over this massacre later on in the story. The last Dain quest was far too "nice".
You realize they have a solution for all of this that we even dared to propose during the first part of the quest? The Loom of Fate could solve this, however, I dread the kind of world Vedrfölnir could have in mind...and even more the cost of using a tool so powerful that even an angel wouldn't be able to conceive...The sad truth is René from the Narzissenkreutz quest was right...Teyvat will have no more cycles unless an external element comes into play. We can be that external element, toghether with our sibling but they're, at most, part of the solution, not the problem...
This whole section had me distressed, i felt just like Paimon. I was also angry, thinking "How can the sibling condone such death and destruction, how can you even think to justify all this?".
Gosoythoth supposedly. All the tumors are titled Mark of Gosoythoth. And interestingly that is very similar to a deity named Yog-sothoth. Might not have spelled them right but its close enough otherwise.
the abyss showed up a lot with red and purple surely you aren't also suspecting mavuika and Ei to be related to the abyss, right? similar colors don't always mean associations. context clues are important. it is worth noting that this is the first time the abyss have showed up with black+teal, instead of the usual black+purple/red. but this could be to signify that it's the core, not the rest of the mass/energy.
I don’t know about that But if you looks closely there is some spiral or snake style design or if you guys know the Brand Razer , its logo , its design looks similar to that of design of the source

But everyone who has died up to this point-save maybe other ancient name bearers who already died-is never coming back. It’s one thing to win a victory. It’s another to win a war after such loss.
@@brianahanson6449And there was only 1-200 ancient name bearers among the dead, since the death count only went down that much afterwards. Thats still nearly 2000 gone for good, including Chuychu.
1:11 sounds so emotional
Seeing the casualties while this drops really set the tone of how dreadful war is
@@grumpy_1and Paimon crying..man..last time i remember her on a mess was during the sabzeru festival timeloop.
Everyone's dead, papa what should I do?
dread is sky high at this point, holy geez
It's astonishing how strong the messaging in this archon Quest has left a impact in me when it comes to the atmosphere of this song every time I hear it now I cannot forget what I felt when going through it and still hurts listening to this beautiful music.
It's really hard to play knowing you can't save everyone... guess this is what a "hero" of Natlan is supposed to feel.
This music is gonna haunt my nightmares
The helplessness, the concentration, the pain, the despair, the silence, the struggle, the death
Everything came all at once and I was barely able to mentally prepare myself
All the lives that were lost, the homes destroyed and the life that they had... It will never be the same, nothing will ever return as it was
Two thousand, four thousand or seven thousand.
While the losers must turn to ash
Genshin has been known to evoke many emotions in the past
Never thought that dread will be one of them
Let alone hopelessness and fear
And the worst thing is that even the places you've saved aren't completely safe because you go back to one of the places you've saved and they tell you that the place was attacked shortly after you left and almost all the guards died and there's only one left that you save when you arrive
paimon crying, traveller depressed, saurians died, people of natlan some got permadead, the strongest harbinger and his army could do nothing against the abyss, mavuika is nearing the end of her life
Yup, dealing with the shade of Death does come with a price to pay
Очень красиво и атмосферно, чувствуется безнадёга. Хойо в очередной раз сделали шедевр!
describe AQ 5.1 in one word: dread .
this OST captured that sense of hopelessness and tension perfectly. had chills the moment the OST played in-game.
The music perfectly fed my emotions of loss and despair birthed by the losses I saw due to my choices during my playthrough. I’ve never experienced that kind of “I wanna cry” multiple times. Not during a game. And not during a war I’m playing through.
That what a small fraction of the abyss can do what happens if all the abyss leaders and princess combine their forces all of them are cooked.
Natlan has just gone to DEFCON 1!
So that's why I dropped the nukes (alias, used Klee during the war)
@@KiRIOTom
Klee would have field day with gliders and her homemade bombs and it still wouldnt be enough. Too many target rich environment and hardened Abyss pylons.
Bruh I totally thought we've lost Mualani when the map shows the Springs area being gradually surrounded by the abyss and ultimately consumed
.
Guess the memories of Sea of Golden Trees Nahui Mictlan (fgo lb7) sticks long huh
Abyss looks and behaves like honkai leaking into this world, maybe barrier is actually a good thing for teyvat
natlan and fontaine's quests made me very emotional 😭
i still think fontaine's quest is unbeatable but natlan's a close second, i mean, we still didn't see the end but I loved fontaine so much in its entirety. The despair in both situations was evident
"Paimon. This is no disaster...
This is war."
genuinely, no archon quest hit as hard as this one. i'm genuinely afraid for what's going to happen in 5.3
Imagine we find out one of our closest friends has to sacrifice themselves so they won't betray us or cause destruction
This quest i rate 11/10
still your choice in emergency does have effect when everyone gather back to stadium
not sure how Traveler would feel about this since his/her sibling as the Prince/Princess is the one directly/indirectly behind all this... I think the sibling at this point is beyond redemption
we're one nation away from Khaenri'ah, and we still don't know the full picture of what's happening. between the fake sky, Celestia being as silent as ever, and The Captain being a Khaenri'an; the Princess still doesn't show her true motives.
The Abyss order and the Abyss aren't the same thing.. this is the abyss, the sibling have nothing to do with this
The Abyss Order uses the Abyss as a source of power but they have no control over the Abyss
Abyss order is different
Abyss order is a group of Khaenriah humans turned into alien characters
They are manipulating the abyss characters for their advantage to lay down the foundations to fight against Heavenly principles
Sure, they may be brainwashed, but they literally said that they want abyss to engulfthethrones (and judging by the actions of Abyss Order - usual people are enemies too)
My Minecraft World when I reach Phase 5 in Scape 'n Run Parasites.
Constant shelling...
Radio Silence...
We can imagine the scenery.
I'm just glad they remembered The Abyss and made them an actual threat for once instead of a silly Scooby Doo villain that needed to be unmasked.
This hits so hard
The sense of dread you had playing through the quest was insane
It starting pretty alright n u felt like u could actually stand a chance against the tide
Just for you to realize that ur efforts arent having too much effect on the overall fight
Ur slowly but surely losing ground to the enemy
And then the bodies start stacking up as you visit the later places
And this music on top of it all was just incredible
It truly felt like u were just delaying the inevitable, only ever to play on the defensive
And then when it was time to push back and all hope is restored to the people, and in turn you?
God damn it was so good
✊️FOR NATLAN!!
FOR NATLAN
Death has come to us all.
This is how sounds despair
1:46
Yeah, this part if great. Like a reminder that all that natural beauty of Natlan is now underneath lots of unpleasant things. Almost as if tarnished. It feels bad
After you walk into a village and you see 50 children, all sitting neatly in a row, against a wall each with their throats cut and their hands chopped off, you realize that the creature that could do this doesn't have a soul.
Hey, at least they abyss aren't as sadistic as Niko's enemy
@@Mortreed They can be as cruel as the Balkans if they want to.
Wait, WHAT? I did the quest and didn't see this!
@@Oceaninabottle it's a quote from GTA IV
I have a feeling that this would be prominent in Schneznaya.
Gloomy Sunday of Genshin

Nah , fck this chord
It’s a PTSD for me
This flute doesn’t help me except inducing Terror
Reminds me of Elden Ring, so melancholic and hopeless.
The Abyss and the Abyss Order are two different things.
This whole section had me distressed, i felt just like Paimon. I was also angry, thinking "How can the sibling condone such death and destruction, how can you even think to justify all this?".
The Abyss and the Abyss Order are two separate things. They Abyss is also like Yog-Sothoth considering the title given to the abyss tumours.
-"Итэр,это и есть война?"
Yeah, i knew we shouldn't trust the "Happy go lucky" Natlan teaser
So, who exactly among the ranks of the Abyss is activating this portals?
Gosoythoth supposedly. All the tumors are titled Mark of Gosoythoth. And interestingly that is very similar to a deity named Yog-sothoth. Might not have spelled them right but its close enough otherwise.
I honestly hope the story continues in this vein. There’s not enough gravitas for my liking.
If only inazuma civil war was done like this, it would be more impactful, not crying over single NPC we didnt care about.
It would never get this bad because a war of extermination is FAR removed from a Civil war
2121 DEATHS 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
After 5.1 Venti has a LOT of explaining to do..... that black hole..... looks too much like anemo
I keep in mind manga prologue chapter with Aether already having Pyro energy unlocked, where he speaks with him. The clock is ticking...
Huh not at all lol
that's a stretch
the abyss showed up a lot with red and purple
surely you aren't also suspecting mavuika and Ei to be related to the abyss, right?
similar colors don't always mean associations.
context clues are important.
it is worth noting that this is the first time the abyss have showed up with black+teal, instead of the usual black+purple/red.
but this could be to signify that it's the core, not the rest of the mass/energy.
I don’t know about that
But if you looks closely there is some spiral or snake style design or if you guys know the Brand Razer , its logo , its design looks similar to that of design of the source
Gaze simulator...
I made this music video after the archon quest. ua-cam.com/video/EkS2YFNI5cY/v-deo.htmlsi=iMnkKE-jl47lBU5A
I was one of those people who've been proven wrong by Natlan. I'm glad they pulled it off. Now they have my full confidence towards the end of this journey.
My heart broke when i heard this ost plus it did broke even more when Chasca was slowly walking sksk 🥹 uk that scene
