    yes. have spent days not getting 2d image - 3d model - fitting on tracked footage - badly !!! this is a help in my strange family-ignoring obsession !!

    thanks for the info. If I understand the task correctly, then you can also look at your cloud of points that have already been tracked in the 3D viewport not from the camera. And try to navigate the space to find the right position. Of course, in such a situation it may not work.

      Yes., you could have started from trackers on the side of the whatever this is called and rebuilt from there but in some cases. like drone shots for example, this is faster and more practical.

    You can also set 3d cursor to the camera on reference frame and then scale the empty with 3d cursor as pivot.

      But that will only place the empty on one vector. You need two to get a position in a 3d space.

      @@BlenderBob you just switch to different frames and scale the empty accordingly. It's the same principle as the addon you showed. This is just with default blender tools. I've been doing it like this for years, it can be also used for modeling from images. This principle works basically in any 3d program.
