This will be a must-have for rendering anything with Eevee Next due to it's use of screen-space global illumination.

Thanks for making this...every time I try and use the other overscan addon I get unexpected results. This works as it should!
I was planning to write a script about that on my free time, now I don't need too and can focus on something else.

PS. For some reason the "new" or "plus" version did not work for me in 3.6.4. The pannel just doesn't show up. But I've pasted your code to GPT 4.o and it corrected "itself" I guess ;) and it all works now.

Addons are the by-product of Serious production, so i guess Tiki is running actively now.

Anyway you make something like this in compositor? I cant remember the exact problem I was having cause it was a while ago but it seems like it was an issue with seeing the camera output size. Thanks for the addon

There is a free addon what you can manage the addons tab, you can group them as you want. Maybe can help you!
There is a built in overscan option ( Render Properties > Film ). I can understand if you need more control but surprised that the built in option wasn't mentioned at all.
That must be an addon that you installed because there’s only exposure, pixel filter and transparent in Film.
@@BlenderBob Sounds like you are looking at it with Cycles as the renderer. Overscan is there for Eevee since it often relies on screenspace effects.
Hey Do you use Windows or Mac for Blender? I see both in your video, Which one do you prefer?
If I could I would only use the Mac but it’s old and not powerful enough.

Works in 3.6 so it should work in 3.5. Did you check in the tool tab of the viewport?

And you loaded it as an addon?
@@BlenderBob yep, loaded as an addon. It loads (no errors) then I cannot find it. I tried someone's suggestion in the comments to go through ChatGPT and fix the version, but it gives errors upon install this way. I also tried to run it as a .py script (same)
I’m not at home right now. Will check tonight. Can you try on another blender version?
