Definitely don’t buy another project! Great thing about the mini and frank is you can just tinker now, as they are mostly done. Might help with the motivation. Good idea swapping the cars around. Burger King for tea.
With the leisure battery in the Renault van my Sprinter conversion runs a redarc bcdc1225 which looks after the 12v leisure battery with input from the alternator and is also a mppt solar controller for my panels, it's going on 10 years of continuous use with no issues. A relay switch won't charge the leisure battery properly especially if it is a different chemistry to the vehicle battery or long cables cause voltage drop. Info more as a FYI but I've been impressed, only on my 2nd leisure battery in those 10 years, used all the time.

Great stuff Matt. I think my neighbour has got some sort of OCD although it may be connected with other neurological issues as I spotted him with a couple of rattle cans respraying his Ford Probe out in the road . As he finished the rain started while the paint was still wet. I could guess what he was having for dinner by the smell emanating from his back door. I didn't realise that heating up a Tesco ready meal included cooking it with the bag-for-life he's used to transport it from the store to home ! Dinner here tonight will be Chicken flitter with egg fly lice from the Kung Flu take-Away.
