This arc is a prequel to s1 and s2 btw!! So these events must have happened before our og timeline of the show or on the trip mentioned in s1 ep6 where both lg and cxs were supposed to be overseas. We don't know whether this is the first time lg is going back in time after he witnesses cxs and ql deaths, people are speculating it may have happened a LOT more than that, which both versions would make a lot of sense as there's lots of details sprinkled showing differences in certain scenes (also the intro may have been two timelines/scenes overlapping but that's just my personal observation). Anyway, lu guang went back in time to their first meeting and because he broke the 12 hour rule, as in stayed there for longer than 12h his eyes changed from yellow to his normal color, which I'm pretty sure shows he stranded himself permanently in that timeline, meaning he can't go back/exit the photo. Also, i heard that in our og/previous timeline the trip to bridon never happened?? Not 100% sure if this information is valid, but it does show that no timeline is the same which is why lg couldn't believe emma not dying in s1 last episode because 1)he probably saw this outcome for the first time 2)he has tried to save cxs a lot of times but it always ends in death. As he said 'death is an unchangable node' but he himself disregards that to try save his best friend against his own logic😭 + i don't think he ever experienced meeting the siblings from s2 in the og life, that's why he didn't have a total control over everything and kept worrying whenever cheng xiaoshi was in danger since he knew time/someone like a time keeper?? was bound to try and restore its order which would always require cheng xiaoshi's death, maybe qiao ling's too now?? Or it may just be this particular timeline, IDKKK this show is so tragic and mysterious i can't wait to see what new will they come up with next week (I'm terrified) Edit: there's also a lot of speculation around cheng xiaoshi actually diving sometimes here too, like for example the basketball game or when he invites lu guang to stay at the photo shop.

I don’t remember specifically where they were but in season 1 when they were trying to save the kid from being kidnapped and ran into Qiao Ling and she was stunned because they were on a trip (again idk which trip though) I do believe that he’s done this more than once because including last season, we’ve seen 2 death scenes of Cheng
8:47 lu guang jumped to his own body so in this time-line there is only one lu guang , and it seems like he now has two abilities permanently. 1/ to see 12 hours of a photo and video and 2/ to enter photos and videos . I have a feeling lu guang might be able to save everyone but could possibly have a sad ending T T maybe they'll forget him or he'll decide not to enter their lives or something .

To me it seems like after 12 hours of diving, the power disappears and you're trapped there. Perhaps lu guang has to obtain cheng xiaoshi's power in each timeline to "restart"? We don't know whether you can jump into a photo while you're currently in a photo either. There's many possibilities but the fact that lu guang has never entered a photo himself in times of crisis leads me to believe he doesn't permanently have it (but he would have it if he stayed in a timeline where cxs died).
I don’t think Lu Guang has the ability to enter photos, permanently. He got this power from Cheng Xiaoshi’s death and he is basically in a photo possessing himself so he can only clap back and not enter photos again. Otherwise it would mean this power is an inception hell where you can jump in photos inside of photos. Not completely impossible but we had no sign of that in the 2 first seasons
I hate UA-cam - it _never_ notified me that you watched link click so I've been binging your reactions to get to this point lol. Thinking about Lu Guang constantly checking the time - I think it's because he is desperate to know what he changed according the mystery red haired guy. This gives him hope that he can save our boy - but so far, he's seeing that everything is staying the same. Among the many previews (pv) that came out beforehand, and there's an interesting one from 5 months ago roughly stating “the two had an quarrel that shouldn't have happened.” Maybe this is the turning point? One head cannon that I've seen is that Lu Guang has a delayed reaction speed - back in s1 when he kept hold of the basketball guy's wrist until Qiao Ling told him to let go, when the detective reveals himself he shows his surprise a little later than the other two, and here when he didn't react in time to dodge the chair and Cheng Xiaoshi had to tackle him out of the way. I also think it's been pointed out that Lu Gang has a different dialect than the other two - you can hear it the way he and the others say “welcome” sound different. Ooh, I wasn't sure if/when you'd react to this arc for link click, but I'm so glad you are!!! 1) as a diff comment said -> its meant to be a prequel of sorts, with the timelime unknown (differences in watch placement on lu guang's hand in the diving back sequence), we dont know when exactly things are occurring, though it seems like its already happened more than once? leave it to link click to confuse us all. but we know the s2 flashback moment wasnt the first time, since he's not panicked + i believe in his monologue he says something about using the "last chance" ? we also know the s2 flashback moment showed that cheng xiaoshi was in his blue jacket, so death was not something that happened in s2 realistically 2) when it comes to cheng xiaoshi's power -> i think that lu guang stays trapped in the past timeline once twelve hours are up, or at least based on that conversation. him in the bed ready to head back to the present, choosing not to, and after that his eyes are now his normal colour, because he cant go back to the present anymore (since clapping brings you back, and we see lu guang clap later) 3) i think lu guang had wanted to leave before cheng xiaoshi dragged him into the studio, because he decided itd be better to not stay close, and that maybe staying away could be the key to saving cheng xiaoshi, but he can't bring himself to stay away (the hesitancy to walk away + not resisting once cheng xiaoshi starts dragging him. that's his best friend !! Wait. When Cheng Xiaoshi goes into a photo, he takes over the body of the person who took the photo. So in this case, Lu Guang is in his own body - his younger self - like a parasite. There aren't two separate versions of him running around and his younger self shouldn't be aware that he's being controlled - Emma all the way back in s1ep1 had no idea she'd been tampered with to see the files that ruined her shitty boss - in her memory, she did that on her own. So, in the original version of this whole looping mess, 18-year-old Lu Guang took a photo of the sky just before he met Cheng Xiaoshi. Whether he went to that park purposefully to meet Cheng, we don't know, but he probably already had the ability to see future events when looking at a photo. They became friends. They become partners in the studio business after Lu Guang reveals his ability. At some point, Cheng gets his photo-jumping ability. They do some time-shenanigans and attract the attention of some bad people by messing up those people's plans. Four+ years go by at least, if we go with what Cheng is wearing in his death scene matching what he was wearing when they captured Liu Min in the studio - in the show's timeline everyone is done with college. We know that in the beginning of this episode's timeline, the red-braid guy kills Cheng (and Qiao Lin, it seems) and Lu Guang goes into the photo to try and change the past enough to keep this from happening. The Bridon arc has to be Lu Guang's first attempt to change things, right? It will still go badly and we'll meet all the characters from the OP/ED, but we don't know yet if they are the same in the Bridon arc as they were in the OG arc and we don't know if they will eventually show up in the Show's version. We've seen (in seasons 1 & 2) a timeline where instead the trio got mixed up with Liu Min (blond guy) thanks to taking the case with Emma. But in "our" timeline (with the twins), Cheng/Qiao Lin didn't die - so that's good, or the death(s) was only delayed. No red-braid guy this time (yet). But we do get Liu Min's dark-haired brother again - he clearly has an ability of some kind... My brain hurts.
