I came back to watch F1 again just for Charles. Because I felt the same for him as I did for Michael as I was only 6 years old. Never thought it would happen again.

Yeah, he is incredible on one lap. And given that he had never a car which was competitive for the championship, he has already a proud number of poles.
No I do not think so! LH's record will be very difficult to beat because when he will be retired, the poles will be divided between : Charles, Gasly, Norris, Ocon, Lance, Max and also with Georges. The battle between them will be epic in every single qualificaiton session.

Even verstappen, gasly got the tow from their team mates. But it was leclerc who is above everyone and in his 2nd run, he was fastest in sector 1 as well. Shows that ferrari was competitive and they were always finishing in top 3 or top 4 . Its a fair pole i would say

Decisamente! Rivedere una Ferrari in palla sin dal primo turno di libere del venerdì è un piacere che nell'ultimo disastrato anno ci era stato tolto. Difficilmente domani Charles avrà il passo per vincere la gara, visti i suoi tempi nel long run della FP2 e considerato il rapido degrado delle gomme che resta il principale problema della SF21, ma rivedere la Rossa in pole per due gare di seguito è tantissima roba; complimenti a tutti, soprattutto in fabbrica, per l'enorme passo avanti che questa macchina ha fatto in così poco tempo: monoposto ben bilanciata, con un buon grip meccanico e finalmente con quei cavallini liberi di nuovo di galoppare in rettilineo. E ci sono margini per crescere ulteriormente nel corso di questa stagione...
Se qualcuno mi avesse detto, a fine stagione scorsa, che nelle prime 6 gare del 2021 la Ferrari avrebbe preso 2 pole position avrei insultato quel qualcuno chiedendogli di non prendermi in giro!

Everyone is talking about the tow. Even hamilton, verstappen, gasly got a huge tow from their team mates but neither were able to match charles. Especially in 2nd sector charles was mighty. Even on his 2nd run charles was fastest in first sector of all going purple and ferrari were always in top 3 or 4 all the weekend. I would rather say ferrari have nailed it. Hope they get their tyres working in range to hold off ham or verstappen it would be quite a race.

ferrari did nail it but hamilton was just starting his lap when leclerc finished so obviously a lot closer than most when finishing. no wonder he got such lap timings 0.2 s faster and he didnt even set any fastest sector.

Let's not underappreciate this achievement. Everyone had their first go around to set their best laps and Leclerc got back-to-back poles. If the other drivers were better, they should've come closer to his time, Hamilton at p2 was +0.2 even if luck was involved.

This has the potential of being a fun race to watch. Maybe a couple of safety cars. I hope for a Ferrari win, but that will be difficult. But, who knows. 🍀🤞

More like Hamilton’s massive tow, I think he gained around 3-tenths. Gasly with a similar pace ended up 3-tenths without a tow

That was a very solid lap by Leclerc! He pushed his car to the limits and had perfect braking zones and steering into the Apex. Where many others crashed into walls, he managed to stay in total control and deliver a Pole Winning Lap! Congratulation to him he is slowly raising the bar for Ferrari and the team seem to be able to grow with him. Very impressive stuff this year so far! Go Leclerc!

Hi I'm kinda new to f1.
I know the tow or draft or slipstream is really advantageous and can be achieved when staying behind the speeding car.
But how far from the car ahead can one have the tow? That looks really far for me like more than 200 metres. And still Leclerc was able to benefit from it. Thank you.

Ferrari’s improvement seems the real deal and not just a one off… impressive. Sure they probably wont even be close to winning tomorrow but congratulations to the team. By far the most improved team of the season thus far.
I feel the improvements they’ve made is honestly important and actually impressive given the horror show of a season they went through last year.

@@varun9339 bassicly the b comes from sbinlla or sbinnto, when a ferrai driver spins, it became prominent after sebestian Vettel kept on spinning out while driving for ferrai, only amplified by lerlec and kimi also spinning. Thus, the meme got traction and it explodes. Today it's a icon of ferrai, and is used when anything bad happens stratgey wise, or a strategy masterclass by the team in red in master blan / ferrai master blan, and sbinnla is very promient when ferrai spins. Sbinnto is used when a ferrai driver spins and binnto vista. Take for example when binnto doesn't come for a few races a driver doesn't zpin, if they spin when he comes back it's called sbinnto

It was even a perfect lap as Charles said. A couple of mistakes were visible. A Ferrari unlocked some serious pace these couple of races. The last two tracks are so different.
Charles having 9 career pole positions without ever properly challenging for a WDC just doesn't sit right with me
