Never understood the Battle Gear thing. Like I know it was cut from the full game and meant to be playable, but just Huey's logic behind it. He seems convinced that developing a miniaturized version of Metal Gear's rail gun system will somehow make the war machine "grind to a halt." Like, no Huey, you should know better. It'll just result in people making their own Battle Gears and eventually anti-Battle Gears etc etc.
I'm more bothered that his idea to help bring about peace is to make /another/ iteration of the same war machine that keeps causing problems. After MG Peace Walker and its three sibling mechs, MG Zeke, and Sahelanthropous, you'd think he would take the goddamn hint and put his brains to use making anything different that didn't involve strapping weapons to giant death robots.
Like a lot of weapon developers, he hoped that his ultimate weapon would bring an end to resistance. Instead it would likely only make wars more bloody in the end.
I'm very late, but in MGS3, Paramedic confirms that Naked Snake's eye was completely RUPTURED. There's basically no ocular cavity for an fake eye to fit into. Also Ahab's bad eye is clearly wet and is seen moving it the prologue, Venom's eye was blinded in the explosion - not ruptured. It's still real.
Were talking about a series with paracites that makes you materialize guns out of nothing, i think making an eye prostetic for Big Boss isn't too out of the question.
At the ending monologue I don't get how Pat was wrong in that Miller side's with Solid. Snake literally refers to him as 'Master Miller' establishing a trainee relationship, which Liquid uses to deceive him. Not to mention Ocelot is working with Liquid during shadow moses. Canonically it makes the most sense at least.
I honestly think he might have just misspoke. They talk about Liquid a LOT during the LP, so it may have just been his brain filling in blanks when he meant something else.
There's many problems I have with Quiet's whole situation but like. She spoke in Navajo to Code Talker. Could/would he not then decide to teach Navajo to those who interact with Quiet a lot?

For Venom Snake, it was noted that his shrapnel horn inhibits comprehension of secondary languages - he can speak native English fine, but due to how the brain works, "secondary" languages are inhibited, which is why he needs an interpreter rather than being able to learn languages himself.
I've yet to confirm this but I have a feeling that the "Soldier with a stomach-ache" tape is meant to be played while hiding in a toilet in alert status. Soldiers would hear the tape and think someone is in there taking a huge shit and not bother checking.
That final mission would've been so cool. Also, I realized we never get to sneak around a real major city in an MGS game. In MGS2, you start on a boat sailing PAST New York City, so you don't really go to New York. Could you imagine it in this game, sneaking around New York, or LA, or Tokyo?!

Venom kills one guy no one knew about and destroyed Sally, he is a drop in the bucket of Boss’ legend realistically

That's why venom was even created to begin with, to bear the big boss title as conspicuously as possible while not only refraining from tarnishing big boss's reputation but significantly enhancing it so the real big boss could conceal himself. Both Diamond Dogs and Outer Heaven ended up being magnitudes more successful than the failure of MSF.

It’s bizarre to see a game with a lot of polish behind it in terms of mechanics and visuals, but drops the ball with the most nothing story I’ve ever seen, ESPECIALLY in regards to Quiet’s story. Like, holy shit, I’m so upset that I ended up not caring at all about her sacrifice at the end.
The problem is that all your typical codec esque moment were replaced with the cassettes which, while informative, made it possible for people to miss out on tons of content.
