The Fractal Axe-FX III, FM9, and FM3 have over 200 amp models to choose from, but I really only use a handful of them. These amp models are my new standards when dialing in epic tones. When selecting which amp to use, I look for versatility, feel, and ease of use. It's hard to make any of these amps sound bad, but easy to make them sound outstanding!

One of the other UA-camrs, took a challenge and managed to tone match pretty well a early 60's Magnatone 440 using of all Amps in the Fractal THE ARCHON/archean, i was really shocked sounds alot like Lonnie Mack from the Wham of the memphis man album. He used the Whammy Classic in the Pitch Block to do the tremelo effect. It is Quite Good and I love it. Another overlooked amp. to a degree is the Dr. Z 38 model, it sounds great to.

The Texas Star has been my go to for the last year+. I watched a number of Andy Timmons videos. His tone is insane! Used his settings and tried to come up with his ideas of gain stacking. Also using the Aurora delay.

Great video! If I’m not mistaken the Atomica is a modded plexi and the CCV is a modded JCM800. But they both sounded amazing in the Fractal!

Is this different boost type on/off adding on the preamp tab of an amp block also possible on FM3?

I’m using a variety of dyna-cabs. Greenbacks for the vintage tones, V-30s for the modern ones, and AC-30 or Matchbox cabs for the voxy tones.
