What a great place. I would be so busy enjoying the views i couldnt ride! I appreciate you letting people who go through you to rocky mountain get in the drawings. Im always getting this or that from them. Hope it helps you out a little. Keep those great ride videos coming.
Beautiful scenery. Went riding in Northern Utah this last weekend for the leaves and therapy. Fantastic ride and fantastic scenery. Only downside is I obliterated my shifter and bent the shift shaft which developed into a small oil leak…. Looking to be 3 weeks out for replacement parts. Might be done for the year depending on how the weather turns out. Makes me sad thinking about it.
I would recommend getting ND filters for the GoPro. I use an ND32 to bring down the shutter speed to make the footage more “cinematic” and add motion blur as your riding. It just brings up the GoPro quality so much in my opinion.
I use gopro now, and i used to us Sony. My audience hates Superview. Better to use the angle below that one. Superview is just two "fisheye" i have found. Anyway, hope this helps. My GoPro is only blown out during high wind. You can play around with different mics to help with that as well. Any mic is better than a voiceover!
I’ve noticed a massive jump in audio quality in the more recent GoPro cameras. They don’t seem to be affected by wind much and don’t do the annoying mic switching the old ones used to do. On my 11 Black I run a chin mount and my voice is reasonably clear up even on faster trails. I recently had to use my old 7 Black because my 11 died and had to do a lot of post processing to get the audio cleaned up. Which brings me to reliability… I’ve had GoPros since the very first Hero HD version, and they have a pretty consistent 50% hit/miss track record for me. One camera will be great, the next one will have all kinds of issues, then the following will be great again. I think they are making a mistake trying to shove higher and higher resolutions and frame rates into these things, making them run hotter and be heavier/bulkier. I don’t need the 400fps or 5k, pretty much nobody does. Give me a 4k 30fps camera that’s light and has good battery life, I don’t even care if it’s cheaper.
I use a Rode Wireless Go with a lav mic with a Hero 10 and media mod on our channel with no problem. Db level is easily adjusted on the Rode receiver. The media mods are kinda crappy as the mic input starts messing up about every 6 months.
The problem i have with gopro is that it's kind of hopeless if you don't have apple products to edit it with. They don't even have any software for pc, the video coded are not supported in windows so you have to buy and download it and it didn't work anyway. Niether of my good android phones can handle 2.7k or above. The only way i can even watch 2.7k is to upload it raw to yt, or use some amateur freeware software to decode it to 1080 and then i can edit it on pc. I don't know if other cameras are better, i think the problem lies mostly in the inability to record in a codec better supported by android/pc.
A lot better than the previous Sony cam, but why’d you go with GoPro? DJI action 5 pro just dropped and in my opinion it absolutely dominates over GoPro.
GoPro's are a dying breed. They shut off for no reason, the sound doesn't record sometimes for no reason, they overheat when it's to even hot out and the list goes on. Just when you think you're video taping the perfect ride, you get home and the piece of crap didn't work. They are horrible. Good thing is, the Insta 360 and the DJI cameras are great and GoPro can just die and go away...
@@onthethrottle7104 can’t bring myself to try a dji action cam. $50 bucks less and watching a few videos the GoPro video just seems to look better. But I’ve also heard of the overheating and other issues of the GoPros which is why I haven’t pulled the trigger on one. I’ll have to look at insta…I’ve had a GoPros back in the day(1 and 2…still have them) I wish they could just make a new one that solves the issues.
Mine works great. I live a few hours from Canada, so if it's 90° it's stupid hot. GoPro is just fine, warm, but never shut off. Bluetooth mics are compatible, so that's what I'm trying to figure out next. (Most reviewers are using phone headsets, and wondering why the mic audio sucks). 😂
I don’t know about the 13, but I am highly disappointed in the hero 10. Battery life is nonexistent, it gets really hot for some reason, and the last few times I’ve tried to use it, it will turn off after 1-6 mins and you have no idea until you stop. When it works it’s really good, but that’s only when it decides to work.
There's something seriously wrong with your camera. I have a hero 9 and can run it till the battery dies trail riding my dirt bike. I've taken videos 20+ minutes no problem

Fake news! Sounds like operated error. I have had versions since the 3 up to the 12 operating from hot, cold, underwater and not once has that ever happened to me 🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂

much agreed the 24/25 model ktm 300 is a beast for trail riding. best upgrade ive ever done and wondering why i didnt do it sooner.

I was just on this trail a few weeks ago! One of my favorite quick rides for sure!
Motorcyclist hunters? There is some dedication, no way am I hauling out an elk or a deer at that elevation. Especially on a dirt bike.

Looks like a blast
What an amazing climb! Seems like you could take enough gas to just get to the top and then coast it all the way back home!

What GoPro mount are you using?
Have you looked at the Dji cameras with the wire less mics.
Im thinking of getting a first dirtbike
Any recommendations for someone about 5’ 4”?
Thanks
have you ever tried mounting you gopro underneath your helmet visor?
What a trail.... even on a GoPro it looks spectacular ... 🤣🤣
Beautiful land amazing video amazing bike !! Amazing dude!!
Looks like your bit rate it's set right for exporting, are you 70000? Your footage is still blurry in parts. Love your videos though.
Chin mount is good except when you are in truly good riding position especially in MX. Then the camera is pointed down way too much.
Where is this trail and or name?
What state/area is the filming done? It’s beautiful
