Definitely something interesting alongside the Famicom cartridges itself. The bootleg world is so huge that it was how most people (at least in countries where gaming was still a luxury sport) got into gaming as a whole. And as of this day Famiclones (and possibly bootleg cartridges as well) like that are still popping out of nowhere, either new or old refurbished product. I recall seeing a lot of Sup Famiclones that looked like a Gameboy came up on Vietnamese online marketplaces and those turned out to be a success.
This is a nice extra. I do wish to have more bootlegs and unlicensed carts in my library. Any of the Dendy carts would be nice, or maybe one of the strange plunger-shaped carts from Brazil for my Atari collection! I've had my eye on a foreign bootleg of Videomation that came complete in its own box and I really want that one because I'm a fan of strange video drawing programs.
As someone who's mostly into the pirate/unlicenced carts it totally isn't worth doing a series covering all of those games, there are just too many of them. There are at least tens of thousands of multicarts alone, and I'd guess that least 70% of those include Soccer which is a game no one needs to play more than once 😝 It was worth going through that software to find classics like Samurai Pizza Cats and Krazy Kreatures though 😄
As far as homebrews go, I saw you own Full Quiet; I'd definitely recommend it, it's one of the best action-adventure homebrews out there. Other decent games are the Battle Kid games (but they're hard as hell), Micro Mages, Alwa's Awakening or Scourge of the Goblin Knight. As for cancelled/unreleased games, I own Time Diver Eon Man, and that action game is quite decent, if easy! (I'm guessing you're going to talk about all that later.)
So strange not hearing the intro theme when this started up. I just got used to expecting it after a while lol
Didn't think I'd ever get more famidaily after the 1000+ episodes, but I'll take it.
scary to hear about most of the StudyBox being lost media
hopefully one day those cassettes get preserved
Obviously there are some of them out there given the picture exists, but no back ups that I could find.
Famidaily will live forever 🎉
Or for one more appendix. 😃
@@RndStranger Diskdaily has to be a perfect spinoff for the series 😊
I'd go one step further and simply ask: "Who thought Boogerman was a good idea?" 😆
I'm sad we didn't hear the theme song one last time.
It's officially retired.
Who thought porting Boogerman to the NES was a good idea? At least more than one person did since there are two ports of the game.
We should document a few NES titles as well ‼️ You thought that I left after Famidaily ended last month and Merry Christmas by the way ‼️😃

Famiclones helped me keep my sanity when we lost electricity. They're a curious baseline...

What's the name of the homebrew game at the 4:00 mark?
NEO Heiankyo Alien
@@jendorei Yep. I so rarely got to mention the original during Famidaily that it felt appropriate to use here.
