Hi, Cat, I was missing you and your videos so I pulled this one out my stash. It was very inspiring. Hope you’re having a great day and see you soon. 😘 🌿🌸🍃
Janice Robinson awww! Thank you, Janice! That makes my day! See you this Friday.. and then we will be taking a two week break 😉Since we missed our European vacation.. but I will be working on lots of ideas for new videos 😉😘🌸🌿🌱🌸💗
Caterina Giglio Goodness! I don't how you come up with so much content for these UA-cams, but I love them. Keep up the good work and leave for some time for fun (as much as the restrictions allow, of course.) I’m in SC so we mostly stay home. Going to the grocery store is a grand adventure. LOL 😘 Take Care. 🌿🌸🍃
Janice Robinson Oh, no worries I have more ideas that I can create! 😂 and we only go out when we have to as well. Just staying home. Hoping to go out to visit family in July, but we will see how that goes.. we miss them so much! Take care and thank you, your support and friendship means so much! 😘💗🌸🍃🌱🌿
Hi, Caterina. Today is Jan.28.2023... Found this video of your work that I found really impressive. I have a few questions, the glue you use is a unique fabric glue? You mentioned that we should always work from dark to light, I I have learned that as well, but I noticed that you begin with dark color, went on to the light, and then kind of covered it up with 2 strong dark colors... Have a yummy weekend.
Hello from California, Cat! I always watch your videos on a 50" screen where commenting is not an option but had to go to my laptop to comment today and say thank you so much for the inspiration you give us. Your videos are so professional and enjoyable and I absolutely love your art. Such a beautiful color palette and I love that you do your sewing by hand.
Carolyn Rhodes Hi Carolyn! Oh gosh! 50 inch screen! Yikes! LOL i only see myself on my little ipad or desk top! 😉 thanks so much for your kind comments and I am delighted you enjoy the stitches! 😘
Good Morning Caterina! just watched the video and enjoyed every second of it. the art piece is just beautiful and so appreciate you sharing your talent! Have a happy day!😘
Another beauty. Love your videos, a great way for me to sit and relax. I always love stitching bits and can't wait for studio fun! Best Wishes to you and yours for all of 2019 Whew!! Who ever thought 2020 is just around the corner.
Oh- this is so beautiful!! I often wonder if artists are offended if we try to play with their ideas and styles of creating. I guess once it is out in a magazine or book- you are open to people attempting to mimic and then play off your inspiration. I am the type of artist that shares everything- I don't care if someone uses my work as inspiration or "copies" my work by trying the techniques- because they are interested in learning about it. Art is to share - it is not mine to keep. My mentor taught me that!!
Hi Brandy, Sorry it took so long to respond, we have been busy. This is a long topic and I have been chewing on a cat chat about it. Copying is how art is traditionally taught. No one confuses a drawing of a Rembrandt painting with an amateurs drawing. When copying becomes a serious infringement is when art is passed off as one's own.. as a definite copy of another artist. When we copy, we are copyists. We are not artists.Artists are charged with creating something new. So if you are doing it to learn, great, but we must always be mindful of what we are doing. I have seen a lot of copyists who have damaged other artists, both personally and professionally. My videos are designed for you to play with and make over in your own personal style. I never use anything proprietary in my videos and have already decided that there are some things I will probably never teach, because I want my work to stand on its own and not be copied. Art is for sharing yes, but copyright laws are very clear. I know you are just a small fish, but even tiny fish deserve to be recognized for their ideas!! Thanks for watching! xoxox
Buongiorno Cara, I just finished watching this, so well done, video of your Italian beauties. I have some Italian ephemera I have been using on my little Italian 6x6 boards and now I think I will try this process. You always inspire me. Btw, I finally got the Art Journal and your article is wonderful. I love that they put little snippets of questions and answers of the artists throughout the magazine. Grazie for being you!
Buongiorno, Angela, I only hope to add some inspiration, my dear friend, and so happy that you will try the process. And How wonderful that you got Art Journaling Magazine, I really loved the way they handled the article and the snippets were great weren't they? So fun to hear what everyone wrote and thought!! Hugs to you dearheart!
