This has to be the best video I've seen that really breaks down right hand technique. I know a lot of guitarists who get anxiety about it (me included) thanks!

Hey Cody! I just wanted to say, thank you so so much! I am very grateful and honored that you too time to make a video that I requested, despite how busy you are. When I saw you replied to my comment I was really excited! You are such an inspiration to me! (Also, I don’t have a guitar teacher currently, so it’s nice to be able to have some of my questions answered by actual people!)
I really like the simplicity of this video! I noticed that I definitely pluck more outwards sometimes. However, when I let my fingers come in, I’m definitely more relaxed, and I can play longer and faster! I’ll have to work on that. 🙂
I have one more question for you, how much do you use your nails when picking? Is it the majority of the time? I saw your short on it, but I wondering what the norm was for classical guitar. Thanks again! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hey, thank you Mae! Happy to hear that you can play more relaxed and that your speed is improving. That's fantastic.
The string always comes off the nail, but the contact it first with flesh to avoid getting a click sound, and then the string transitions to the nail and slides off. Hope that makes sense.
The only time you don't use nail is to achieve a different tone color like pad thumb where you use only the flesh of the finger.

What a good video. You explain things so well. In thanks for all the progress I’ve made watching your videos, I sent you something in thanks but when I typed in your name I was directed to a page with videos from a few years ago with scenery. I might of made a mistake
sending it there. Do let me know if you received it. If not, it will be my fault and I will resend, as I really do appreciate your videos.

Hi Margaret, thank you for the kind words, and it's music to my ears to know that you're really making progress with your guitar study. The last super thanks I see from you was 5 days ago on an older video titled "Technical yet Beautiful" is that the one you're referring to?

Yes, that is it; I was afraid that I had left it in the wrong place. I really do appreciate your videos and your manner of showing and explaining. It’s pretty incredible. Not to forget your humorous videos which often show real human behaviour.
