Thank you for your generosity, Beatrix. It is precisely that likable quality about you that has made you my absolute favorite go-to-guy on UA-cam. And then, of course, the liberating absence of vanity.
Glad you feel that way! I never really liked my teachers “know it all” attitude, they were so unreachable and unrelatable, so I like to think about myself as someone who’s constantly learning, and when I find stuff, why not to share. I don’t think you have to act like a smart ass in order to be heard once you are actually right about something. So I keep up my cheerful attitude and share everything I figured out how it works, hoping that people will listen even if Im not acting like an academic.
Thanks a lot for your channel in general. I stopped playing guitar 5 years ago because I felt stuck and have been watching your videos to get back into it the right way. You're funny, you know your stuff and are good at teaching imo. Also your videos are aesthetically pleasing somehow lol
Completely new to your channel. UA-cam recommended this to me today morning and i am so glad i found a talented teacher 🙏 Such Great teaching , so simple to understand. Loved your teaching skills ❤. Subscribed your channel 😊 I wish i found your channel before 😊 . I am learning fingerstyle and this was very helpful 🙏
Oh thank you for your kind words, I really do appreciate it! I try to make my videos easy to understand for beginners but also cover things that can be relevant to advanced players. It’s hard to find that fine line, so I’m always happy to read these kind of comments!
@@beatrixguitar So nice to read your comment 😊. Thank you Teacher 🙏🏻. Your all videos are super helpful gaining knowledge. Was watching your other video lessons today since morning as today Sunday holiday😊 & have lots of time
I won’t have access to my electric guitars (as a death metal guitarist you can see how unfortunate this is for me) unless I’m gigging for the next month so this is going to be hugely helpful in keeping me sane and giving me something to work on. 😂
Nice video Beatrix, really informative. You mention a book around 3:40 and it is hard to make out the name of the book, could you tell us in the comments or reference it in the description?
Hi, sure, there’s a method book collection made by Emilio Pujol, and this exercise on the screen is from the second book. That!s one of my favourite exercise collection ever. The reason I like it so much is because it targets the problems very separately, and like I said in the video, I think this approach benefits in a deeper learning.
Hey!! I’ve learned to play it with the right hand touching the wood of the guitar, now I’m trying to get rid of this bad habit, I’ll definitely use these exercises, hopefully it won’t be too hard for me. Just to clarify, The pinky will never be used with the right hand right? Great video btw, thank you very much ❤️❤️
Well there are some unorthodox techniques where people seem to use the pinky sometimes but my videos are covering the most common situations, so 99% of the classical guitar pieces won’t require you to use your pinky! Thanks for the kind words, good luck!
Thanks for the video! Is there any way to make the middle and ring finger of right hand be able to move independently? Their tendons are somehow connected in the hand, which might cause a lack of dexterity between these two fingers. For example, it might make it difficult to lift your ring finger up independently from your middle finger. Is there any way to loosen that tendon connection and gain more control and independence over the a and m finger? That's an issue for many people, which ruins fluid tremolo and arpeggios. Can this problem be solved though? Thanks for your attention!
I think if you focus on the exercises with m and a fingers you should see progress within a short amount of time but it’s hard to say anything without seeing your hand. Try to work a lot on relaxation during playing cuz usually tension sticks the fingers together
@beatrixguitar thanks for your reply, I appreciate it! My hand is just very normal, no medical condition, but if you observe different people's hands, you notice different ranges of finger independence and tendon flexibility. As far as the middle and ring fingers, tendons are connected in every human hand, there is no surprise that this pare of fingers has less comfort and dexterity to do alternation. However, every person has a starting point, like learning to do splits (gymnastics), what I believe matters is improving. In addition, many people may never notice this problem because their finger tendon is naturally flexible enough, and that doesn't make any issues in playing. However, some people may need to push their limits to reach that level by practicing. For instance, I can see that on my left hand, the finger tendon connection is much looser and flexible as a result of years of playing and crazy stretches of the left hand, that very well shows that the anatomy is very crucial in guitar playing and learning to improve that as well.
I love these exercises! Beatrix, those sextuplet arpeggios starting at 9:23...how do you get them so fast? I'm stuck at 112bpm and I'm feeling a lot of resistance in my plucking fingers. Almost like my contact point on each finger is too deep into my fingertip. Yours seems to float on the very top of the string.🙂
Thank you! Well I practice them in 2 ways and that gives me the best result. I practice it slowly and more crunchy with deep picking, and then I practice with fast but very light picking. The first one teaches me to be accurate and to learn where the strings are, the secon gives me speed and effortlessness. Hope this helps :)
Hi Beatrix, Love what I hear so far. Just found you. See your website is still in the making. My focus is Steel String Folk Guitar, Steel String Electric. A Gibson J 45, American Strat. Do you suggest your lessons for this As well? Thank You for your Videos! ✨️✨️✨️🎶🎼🙏
Great techniques. But is someone playing a radio next door.....did I forget to turn off my cd player?...Is there a bee buzzing around my head? No! it's the mandatory second track obscuring a perfectly pleasant speaking voice. I am glad my professors don't play a boombox during a lecture as if the human voice is not a musical instrument in it's own right. Those studies are INCORRECT but sound recording " masters" do love the idea that a background track is an absolute necessity to maintain the target's attention.....since MTV !!!!
You can learn no nails guitar. Search for it on UA-cam. Beatrix has some videos too. Im learning with super small nails just to have a sharp ding after plucking a string.
Will you really want to teach Or is it promotional ? If promotional no comments. If for teaching ----please fix your camera focus on fingers only. You are cute and pretty but for learning I like your fingers . Thank you sooo much.❤
Hope you enjoyed this video and if you did, please like and subscribe and consider supporting my work on Patreon! 😘

Hi, I would like to know what you use to hold the guitar?
It’s called a guitarlift, you can order on guitarlift.de
Hello, which is the chord form that you youse in this example (forward and back)?
Do you know any Jerry Reed songs?
Nice❤❤❤
What do you think about using thumb on adjacent string when playing scales?
Your thumb was two strings up. Just curious is it necessary.
❤

Hi! I have no experience with that, my students play mostly classical repertoire on classical guitar and maybe some video game music sometimes
In my case I have a better right hand than left can you do left hand?
Check out my channel, the new video about left hand is coming out on Friday
My biggest strugle is that i can't play while metronome is on😢
Can someone give me a piece of advice, please?
Can you teach me online..personally Iam from India
I wish I was that guitar

I’m going to be that guy, but you could be more direct with your complaint. Thanks
I don't have long nails😑😑😢
