I'm going to Japan this winter. The capsule hotels are one of the best inventions ever. Lodging and transportation is the biggest part of the travel budget.
I love that if you had to describe the directions to your room to someone, you would say “Turn right at the moose head and go up in the lift”. People will think you have had too many Coke Highballs 😂😂😂. Wonderful video as always
How did i miss this one? Anyway, the atmosphere in Osaka is always so heartwarming! The bar felt so familiar and cheerful, and the hotel did, too. It felt like being in a big old city library, while also being futuristic in all of the right ways. And your gal here only needs access to tea, a reading light and a little airflow, so this is definitely going going on the list. Much love and safe travels 💖🙏🕊
When you first walked up to the capsules, it looked like a row of washing machines... but, great for an over night stay, without all the fuss and bother of an expensive hotel room... thank you for the tour.....USA here... 👍👍...just subbed also..
Thank you for sharing this! I've wondered what the first capsule hotel was like, so it was nice to get an answer. I'll have to watch more of your videos!
I live in America and I've never heard of Aquarius soda. The hotel is very interesting. I love watching your videos ! Thank you for sharing this one and telling us about the history of capsule hotel origin.
I love this capsule hotel. I am not sure people would appreciate me staying in one because I snore incredibly loudly 😂 I know I'd bring my earplugs to block out sound, but I imagine not a lot of people use them. I would be a very unpopular person lol
You win! I would love to try Shabu Shabu. The thought of cooking my own food in a restaurant appeals to me. I think this is the video of yours where the establishment did not provide slippers. Always enjoy your videos.
Love your train stations. Wish we had them in the US. We shouldn't really have to drive our cars in the cities/counties but instead the doofus politicians want to put a train to vegas, when we need better in-city/county transportation. Thank you for sharing. Food looks delish. I would have loved those capsule hotels when I was younger but nowadays I have to go to the bathroom too often.
The hallway where the capsules are in the hotel, look like the sleep pods in the space transport when Dallas and Leleu head to the hotel ship in the Fifth Element movie 😄
Thank you for the video! I would love to stay in a capsule hotel if I visit Japan...they are so nice and so affordable! I wish we had these in Canada. I have a question about alarms though: it's required to keep your phones on silent to keep quiet, and there are wake up alarms in the capsule, but how do they work? Do they make sound or something different like vibrations or lights???
@@serenepeacefulrelaxingmusi3874 Thank you, yes that's what I thought. It's too bad that these hotels wouldn't work in North America because of the culture and some individuals. I notice many hotels offer so many free amenities and drinks/some food, but some people here in the West would probably take advantage of these things and no be as respectful as Japanese because of the cultural differences. I hope to visit Japan someday soon! I love the country!
Cool looking capsule hotel. Nice to see what started the trend and that it is well kept. Ever find out why they have an unexpected moose head by the elevator?
Rock - I smashed you up! LOL thanks for another fun video! Loved seeing where capsule hotel began! Very Historic. I'm old enough to remember when it first began. It was on the news or in a documentary I watched and as a 12 year old, I thought it was the coolest thing on earth! Designed for business people to stay overnight in the city and avoid the long commute home after long day at work and going out with co-workers. Anyway, thats the way I heard it. Cant wait to see where you will take us next! -DD☮
Holy cow… Cigarettes are ¥600 a pack. When I lived in Japan they were ¥250 a pack… But I quit smoking 20 years ago. I smoked mild sevens lol… man I miss living in Japan
11:38 Yeah, that's why if I ever stay in a capsule hotel, I'd rather risk a bad muscle spasm and run to a convenience store for a banana afterwards on the bottom layer than a fall with my poor balance skills on the upper part. 😅
I love the capsule hotel but i'm not keen on shabu shabu as i don't like the idea of cooking meat in boiling water. Love your videos and hope you get to speak in one soon.
The capsule idea is cool, and would've been even cooler to me when I was little. However now all it reminds me of is a morgue😢😭😭 the bracelet number even comes off as a hospital wristband like I can't- :( ;´꒳`;):
I couldn’t sleep in there. There’s just to much light coming trough the store ! Otherwise i love the concept i wish my country has something like that.
That Shaba shabu place looks awesome!

Awesome video! I'm visiting Japan in 2 days! 🙌
Japan content is always so interesting to watch. Food looks delicious as always.
That hotel does look like it came from the set of Alien.
It likely inspired part of a famous science fiction novel.

Thank you for the trip! I love capsule hotels. And Japan.
That shabu shabu meal looked AMAZING! So delicious!
Absolutely wonderful! The modern capsule hotels retro start. It still looks so cool and futuristic 😍❤️😍
Great video, the pioneers of capsule hotel, and the facilities bringing memory from the past

I love your wry sense of humor. Your videos remind me of the great travel writers of the Eighteenth & Nineteenth centuries.
Another award winning video from you. Awesome.
That morning meal looked really delicious!
Hello from Canada. 🇨🇦 I would love to try the restaurant you have shown us. I can't help but to admit how delicious the meal looked.
Love the moose! And oh, my, I could taste that shabu shabu from here...

Aquarius is available in some Tokyo Central markets (Don Quiote in Japan and Hawaii). It's like Pocari Sweat.
The food looked delicious👍
Taiwan
I like this video. It was great. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Chill video as always ☺✨
Btw i did noticed, it seems like you bought a new MacBook~ good for you 🙌🏻✨
Great price & seems to have everything you need!
handsome in the Japanese bathrobe!
Keep up the good work as always. May God bless everyone here.
Neto only do I learn about where to stay but also about the food 😊

Episode tentang menginap di hotel selalu ditunggu
I love shabu! I also like hot pot, but not both at the same time
That was a interesting vacation
Looks a little cramped, but snug and cosy.
16:54 Also, a Suisei spotted on the telly.
Beaucoup de Français ici ! Ça fait plaisir 😉
Gosh , I'm loving your meal !! I like Whisky and coke , and green onions and all the rest ! I am hungry again now 🤣

Bello Giappone!❤
Cool looking capsule hotel. Nice to see what started the trend and that it is well kept.

7am wake up LMAO, I usually get up at the crack of Noon!!

In Germany we used to have Bonaqua from Coca Cola company, but it did not last long, as we have a strong market of local mineral water companies.
We have Aquarius here in Spain.
Morei no Japão 1997 a 1999 e lembro desse refrigerante Aquarius.
11:38 Yeah, that's why if I ever stay in a capsule hotel, I'd rather risk a bad muscle spasm and run to a convenience store for a banana afterwards on the bottom layer than a fall with my poor balance skills on the upper part. 😅
Thanks for the great video.
Could you please add also the total amount you spent for the whole trip?
Watching from Los Angeles ❤
I love the capsule hotel but i'm not keen on shabu shabu as i don't like the idea of cooking meat in boiling water. Love your videos and hope you get to speak in one soon.
Nice
Cool
may i know what gear are you using to film all yours video?
It was such a big hotel. The only part I didn't like was not providing slippers.
No Aquarius that I know of in the US. What does it taste like?
Ha! Scissors!
Is all the capsule only for male adult? is there any capsule for family of 3? for the location like Tokyo, osaka or kyoto. Thank you in advance
In Germany we have no white Cola. Nice time trip. ❤
My friend Alan Merrill played a series of concerts at Expo 70
Hola ,soy de Argentina me gusta tus viajes ,nosotros si tenemos AQUARIUS !! esta invitado a conocer mi Pais ,saludos !!!
Surprised to see that Moose. Is it a Japanese moose? 😂
making me hungry lol
The capsule idea is cool, and would've been even cooler to me when I was little. However now all it reminds me of is a morgue😢😭😭 the bracelet number even comes off as a hospital wristband like I can't- :( ;´꒳`;):
In Germany I never saw Aquarius. How does it taste?
Very nice! We tip in the United States.... do you tip in Japan?
Hello from France, j'attends toujours tes vidéos avec impatience. Dommage qu'on ne te vois pas. Merci pour le voyage
❤❤❤❤
What does the Aquarius taste like? I am an Aquarius American in New Jersey.
were there Korean people when you were eating at a shabu-shabu restaurant?
I couldn’t sleep in there. There’s just to much light coming trough the store ! Otherwise i love the concept i wish my country has something like that.
Too claustrophobic for me. Can you even sit up in the capsules?
@@Delta-pantages no you can’t it’s way to smal for that
