This is 1973, just 3 years after the Beatles split. It's hard to put in perspective just how much British Music changed the rules of music in the decade from 1968 to 1978. We talking, Beatles, Stones, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Genesis, Prog, Electronica, Punk, Sex Pistols, Gary Numan, New Romantic, Duran Duran, Ultravox. Just incredible. There will never be a decade like that again.
Bryan Ferry wrote the best, wittiest lyrics since Cole Porter et.al. , particularly in their first 3 albums. They could be pitch black ( as here) or fun (Editions Of You). Way, way ahead of their time - or any other time come to that.

I always had a secret crush on Bryan Ferry. The secret's out. 🙂 They do an awesome cover of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy", and a couple of my favorite originals are "Love is the Drug", "Dancy Away" and "Oh Yeah!". It's another banner day on your channel.

Roxy is Art Rock. It's a little like Talking Heads meets David Bowie. I especially love "Roxy Music: and "For Your Pleasure," their first two albums.
