Channel 4 easily fixed Rahul to win Series 9, when your bread is inedible but you still go through and then win it, that tells you all you need to know.
I think they kicked manon because she made wholemeal bread instead of rye bread for the first challenge bc even though rahuls was bad he still stuck to brief
Paul has stated MANY times that everyone has a reset every week. Each week a contestant has to stand on their own. It doesn't matter how well they did the previous weeks.
Steph (2019) and Steven (2017) not winning in their years shocked me. Both won star baker 2 weeks in a row for the first 2 episodes, but yet bottled it under the pressure of the final.
John... who regularly presents cooking slots on daytime tv and participated in Strictly Come Dancing in 2021... "regretted winning bake off and ultimately ditched the limelight" ... 🤔 😂
I think Jurgen should had been in the final. However his presentation was very subtle, which i think lead to his elimination in that tightly fought episode.
I wouldn't say Brendan's elimination was shocking, nor does it nor Mat's qualify for this list, I Think Howard & Beca from series 4, Martha from Series 5, Marie & Paul from series 6, Benjamina & Selasi from series 7, Julia, Yan & Liam from Series 8, Jon & Briony from Series 9, Michael & Henry from Series 10, Lottie from Series 11, Freya & Lizzie from Series 12 & Janusz from Series 13 are Strong Candidates for the Top 20, I'd Also put Iain's elimination at Number 1 over Jürgen's simply because the latter's elimination received 115 complaints from OFCOM while the former got over 1000 complaints from the BBC & OFCOM. Now Let's Add Tasha to the List Too after Tonight!
You keep creating videos which mention Bingate. Maybe you should do a video on the best reactions from the public to GBBO controversies? You could probably do an entire video on reactions to Bingate.
Please enlighten me. What does Bingate reference? Was it when the guy (sorry, I’m 75, with bad memory for names!) threw his Fail in the trash…or “bin?” Thanks!
Josh Smalley got the worst stitch up ever, no way should he have been ditched for the title in the final. Cannot comprehend why, other than Matty seemingly being more marketable but actually he's not. True bakers want the real stars. I hate when shows are fixed.
I watched every one of these episodes and I didn't think any of the eliminations were " shocking" or " fixed". We can't taste the bakes or know if they're dense or soggy or not what was asked for.
John love the win and hasn't shunned the limelight AT ALL he was on Stephs' Packed Lunch TV show last week PRAISING his bake off win and said and I quote "its got me to where I am today and that's on your show Steph" so it's all bull he doesn't like the limelight because if he did, why go on Strictly Come Dancing on the BBC? Never liked him anyway 😂😂

EXACTLY
Hermine and Jurgen BROKE me!!!!!!
I would also add Lottie from series 11, and like Brendan - Sandro on series 13.
Most of these were eliminated because of their performance in THOSE specific weeks, rather than overall

Jurgen, for sure, should have won!

This was interesting to watch

I agree with your list! I think Paul dominated all judging so his favourites got pushed through while true winners were eliminated!
I loved this show! Though I liked the seasons with Mel and Sue best.
Giuseppe winning was justice for Jurgen going home. Also, CHIGS IS NOT A NAME!!!!!!
That’s like saying “Walmartsucks1995” isn’t a name.
Chigs is a nickname, genius.

Well, Diana was rightfully branded Public Enemy Number One in the Aftermath & I heard she was Disqualified before week 5 got underway!
Please enlighten me. What does Bingate reference? Was it when the guy (sorry, I’m 75, with bad memory for names!) threw his Fail in the trash…or “bin?” Thanks!
@@cydkriletich6538 Yes, it was when he threw the baked alaska in the bin.
@@gracehowell. Thank you. I did see that episode. I understood how he felt, but I was more sorry for the poor woman who was unfairly blamed.
I think Paul Hollywood is biased he picks out his favourites and the others just get picked off one by one

Those aren’t soufflés in the clip, they’re choux buns.
It will put you off your dessert. 😆
Biggest letdown was ruby and mannon not getting down and dirty with each other ggrrrrr.
Jurgen should have stayed on.
NO I DON'T AGREE!!

Need Amber Heard's untruthful statements in court against Johnny Depp. ✨
Are you sure? That counts as every word she's ever spoken on the matter...it'll be a LONG read/listen for you.
Lol Yes you are so right 😅😂
