This is the only review in which I’ve seen the photos taken by the s20 that have come out so good. All other reviewers are just putting it down and finding faults in it. I’ll be getting my s20 ultra on the 17th of March. Let’s see how it goes. 🤞

Phillip Pugh Hey! Congrats on your new phone! I’d love to know how do you like the photos on it? Do you notice any artificial sharpening upon zooming into your photos? I mean do things like text, tree leaves etc look like oil paintings? Also, are there any blown out highlights?
they either dont wipe the lens before using it or dont know how to focus and keep a steady hand. i have the s20 exynos and photos look great..they will only get better with updates
@@nipunsharma5351 nope the camera is a beast . Here's the thing if you're shooting 8k video are 108 mag pictures..... Use a tripod it's that simple. The new sensor on the s20 ultra is twice is big as your average cellphone censor , so your gonna have to deal with out of focus imaging in the four ground just like a full frame camera

@@victorstrahilov108 Hello ! Could you tell me some things? I did the exact same change, went from S8 to S20 yesterday but I have some problems. First the Always On is a lot less bright (it's dimmer) on the S20 than on the S8(tried manual and auto brightness but still less bright) and the second prob: I just discovered today that my S20's camera moves slow in dark spaces/dark rooms, yet the camera from the S8 doesn't lag at all, the image moves the same as in bright spaces. Do you have these problems ?
@@serbanos94 I don't use always on display and have no idea how to help you with that unfortunately. About the camera I have no problems at all, check if you have the latest updates as I've heard that the camera software had issues but they've been fixed with the new update. Good luck 😊

The video quality and stabilization is insane. This phone will be a beast for next 5 years.
FWIW I really like the way you did this. No fancy endless fanboy wow stuff reading off the spec sheet, just hard and fast real-world use case done in an interesting and useful way for an actual review. Video wise I would say Samsung fail to support their hardware with apps. IMO I should be able to edit HDR10 with a Samsung app and have the HDR retained to save wherever / upload from the phone. I have the S10 (and think I still will for 2 years) and never bother with the HDR10 vid because that (the HEVC is fine for phone output anyway again IMO). SUBSCRIBED:)
Extremely valuable input! There's a lot Samsung can do, but it also depends on what ppl are using more of. Big brands tend to focus on majority's needs..

If you have the Exynos version, night be worth putting that somewhere. There is pretty much no content out there about the regular S20 Exynos version, especially with camera samples, might help your video get even more hits. Top quality video, keep up the good work!

S20 has mediocre battery life in today's standards. Completely on wifi it came down to 8% in 11 hours with 4 hours 30 min screen on time. No gaming and 90 min calls. On similar usage pattern I would have left with 25 to 30% on my S10+ easily.

To put it in a nutshell it's pretty nuts!
Nice review, downloaded some of the images and it's great for socials, only if you are expecting DSLR type image quality will you be disappointed as in if you try and zoom in to 50% or more. For socials, you won't notice the lack of details(sharpness). Also on Supriya's when zoomed the beauty filter effects show up too much. I just got my s20 and will try and use it for street photography and see. Video quality is very impressive in my opinion and the night mode images are better than any other phone I've had. I wish they left the volume buttons on the left side & still allowed a 3.5mm jack for headphones. The quality of the audio from the usbC, in my opinion, is poor. Awaiting some Galaxy buds so hopefully, that will provide better in-ear audio.

Definitely get a case... The device is all glass and hence can get scratched, cracked or shatter and if nothing, it'll lose its polish and shine. To maintain it, do get a case.

A major flaw in this review is declaring it as the best without comparing it side by side with other flagship camera phones.
Amazing camera review! One thing to comment is using higher resolution video like 4k can be beneficial for post processing like zooming or cropping in even without a 4k monitor :)

Came here to see the 4K and 8K video capabilities and how it performs, but was disappointed as video was shot in 1080p! Should let us viewers see how a smartphone performs at it's highest resolution.

Where will you use the 8k feature? Well obviously in birthdays celebrations and weddings. You dont need to take worry about capturing that right photo at the right second anymore. Just shoot a 5 min video of the whole ceremony and then crop out whichever frame you like !

I think Snapdragon might perform better due to different main sensor, it has Sony imx555, and Exynos one is using some Samsung own alternative.
Or at least this is how i saw it, reviewers from USA are showing some great samples, when others with Exynos are getting more blurred images.
Both Exynos and Snapdragon is using Imx 555
Nope, even the Exynos variant uses the imx 555 as Samsung currently doesn't have any 1/1.7 inch 12mp sensor, although the 64mp camera is an isocell Samsung sensor
The slight difference in quality is due to camera updates and a different ISP on the SD 865, these differences will narrow down to none in a couple of months when the camera software has been fully optimised

Thanks for the work you've done!! The picture and video quality is really very good. I don't really understand the hype about the night mode. I currently have an S8, so I sometimes turn down the exposure manually to make it look natural and to keep the lights from being corroded.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to my S20, which will be coming next week.

@@carolinabrizuelag1694 Hi! I'm very happy with the S20. The screen is a dream, it's super fast and the photo quality is also very good (with one exception). I am very happy with the battery life.
But the S8 is still a good smartphone on its own. So the S20 is a luxury - if you can afford it, then take it.
To the exception: As soon as the 64 megabit sensor is used, clever results are a coincidence. The software produces pixel mud in the image every now and then. Samsung still has to tweak the software. I hope they're on it in the home office.

And, its the best comprehensive camera performance review of S20 so far and it's a very interesting...Thank you for your effort 🙏...I have a question for you...In fact, I have been using S20 ➕, but, it's not capturing human subjects in low light well...The color temperature and skin tones are not all natural...Why?
Low light performance is relatively low especially on skin tones. It's something Samsung needs to improve over the next few weeks and apply as a software update.

Very nice review. I was searching something like this since many days. I just wanted to know how's processor's performance while using camera for a longer time ? Does it get heated ? Does it eat lot of battery?
Because samsung's Exynos chipset has this issue since always. When we use camera for a longer time it heats up and lot of battery drains
