  • In this video, I show how to export with the proper settings using alpha channels in Resolve (and it's not DNxHR) and how to compress them for use in StreamElements and OBS. Also, I threw how to do basic mattes in there.

      Since UA-cam Studio keeps telling me this hasn’t been replied to, I’m happy to say that more Fusion stuff has been made. Haha!

    Just use mov, gopro cineform, rgb.
    Additional info, if you have the ndi pack installed, insert their fix alpha blending plugin in the filters of the source. Without it, everything is a little too transparent in obs and with it I get the same result as inside resolve.
    Not saying the video is not good but dude your answer is contained in 3 seconds of an 8 minute long video! Everything else is not completely unrelated but...... well, it is.

      Appreciate the feedback. If that's the only thing you need to know in the video, then yeah, that's all you need to watch.
      Just a few things to address. Explaining premultiplied vs straight alpha channels can be necessary for people that have color fringing problems to better know how and why this happens, especially if they're planning on editing the thing they rendered again.
      Second, the matte is important to know if you want to do image masking or dynamic masking in OBS or on a clip you're turning into a transition.
      Third, conversion to WebM is very important, especially for those that don't have a powerful PC, since GoPro CineForm files can take up a minimum of 5x more processing power than WebM's. A lot of people can't even playback GoPro CineForm files in OBS without dropped frames.
      Just wanted to note why these things were here.

    Also I suggest the dazzne desk mounted panels on amazon I picked a pair up for 200 and the lighting is great

      I actually have a full setup right now, I just went with this for the gigs. But I have a set of GVM LT 50S panels that I use as well as a new camera, the Fujifilm X-T3.

    WHO CARES ABOUT THE COMEDY AND LIGHTING? If the information you provide bares solutions to the problems that initially inspired one to seek out your video based on its title in relation to said problem, then that's it, SUCCESS!! You were useful! The video achieved what it was set out to achieve. That alone deserves you a... "LIKE" or more coveted... "SUBSCRIBE". An instructor's well-lit face doesn't mean JACK when it comes down to deadlines. "COMEDY" is the number one killer of precious TIME in an environment that cares anything about success and productivity so... blah blah blah. Thanks for your video.

      This was very much an inside joke with Sam when I wasn't really taking my content seriously. Haha! I definitely want to create helpful content, but I also want to be engaging. Later videos accomplished this much better I would imagine.

    You can also make your track1 track2 and render this as as single clip.Also, Axiom is an FFmpeg Interface for Windows if cli is scary.

    • @CameraTim
      @CameraTim  3 роки тому

      Axiom is a great option, I'm gonna look more into that for future videos. Thanks!
      What are you referring to with the track1/track2?

    Thanks for the video it was really helpful ! I just notice a gamma shift with the RGB 12 bits cineform. Is there a way to avoid that?

    • @CameraTim
      @CameraTim  2 роки тому

      Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
      And yes, there are two different ways to fix the gamma shift, but most likely in your case, it's a data level issue. On the Deliver page, scroll down to the Advanced Settings dropdown, and set Data Levels to Full.

    Hey with me this didnt work. What did i wrong? Also, does the codec matters or not?

    • @CameraTim
      @CameraTim  4 роки тому +1

      The codec does matter. So if you try this with DNxHR, it will not retain the alpha channel outside of Resolve. Also keep in mind that some players and converters, like VLC and Handbrake for example, will likely not display the files properly because they don't support alpha channels themselves. In addition to that, if you're uploading the file to StreamElements, only certain browsers will work with the WebM alpha channel file, like Google Chrome. But Microsoft Edge won't.

    • @figo.stavorinus
      @figo.stavorinus 4 роки тому

      CameraTim with me, the codec wasnt supported at my device while im using a windows laptop. Any tips?

    • @CameraTim
      @CameraTim  4 роки тому

      @@figo.stavorinus The GoPro CineForm codec along with quite a few of the other heavy codecs are most likely not supported in the native Windows Media Player, but you can throw the exported GoPro CineForm file straight into OBS to test and see if it works since OBS does support it. If it does work, then you can run the FFmpeg command I put in at the end to convert to WebM so that the file is a lot less processor heavy and can be uploaded to StreamElements if you're using that. If you continue to run into issues, tag me in the Alpha Gaming Discord or Sam Woodhall's Discord, and I can help troubleshoot.

      This method is pretty old and I don’t believe the Individual clips option is necessary anymore. Did you have the in and out point over multiple clips?
