Of all the videos I watched spending hours, yours was the best! No music or noise in the background, good explanation, not speaking too fast or too loud or dramatic. THE BEST❤
Out of all the how to merge clothing in blender for vrchat videos that I've seen. You are the most skillful one when it comes to explaining things in blender.
Omg, god bless you, I was trying to combine a set of clothing from one character into another and I just could not find how to do it without having to create entirely new weight paints, this is exatly what I needed!
i want u to knowww If u try to post shorts it will get u subs fasttt, it could be just simple stuff yk stuff u make or animate ❤ anddd ty for this video
This is so helpful! So much info about how to fix the common issues I have when trying to kitbash. Do you have a video about how to attach a clothing mesh without an armature to an avatar with an armature? Does that make sense? Some clothing files only include the mesh, without the armature...sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't (usually due to weight painting I think, which is still very complicated to me). Thank you!
I am glad you found it helpful! I understand what you mean regarding having a mesh without armature. There are a few ways to do it I think. A bit complicated to explain in text here but I could make a video for it.
ty for the tutorial! for some reason when i import my fbx file it goes perfectly onto my model but is gray color, and i cannot seem to add texture to it :(( (i also have color PNGs that came with the booth outfit) any tips?
Hmm, only thing I can think of is what I show at 1:20. Could as well be that the model has no materials at all. If you select some part of the mesh and look in the materials tab it should be visible if there are any.
If you want to get static movement you can weight paint the legs vertex group into the skirt. Then it will move along with the legs. If you export your model to another engine (like Unity) you can use cloth simulation tools to make it move. Which looks better overall. It can be done in blender as well but I have not tried it before.
Hi thanks for this But am having an issue When I join the rigs of my cloths onto the rigs of the model, the clothes disappear I don't just know what has happened 😢and it's stress please any help?
I have encountered something similar before but I don’t remember how it was solved. I think it had to do with materials. If you merge it and then select a mesh in the list, is the orange selection visible but the mesh itself is not?
i have a problem T~T When i do the "apply all" thingy, when i go on edit mode, the mesh still goes back to its A pose and it's only doing it on Edit mode, otherwise it looks good on object mode Then i tried setting the T pose as the new rest pose for my clothes, but when i do it, only the bones says in place but the mesh still go back to A pose ;-; it's been 2h i'm searching for solutions, i didn't wanted to ask in the comments before i even try myself but now i'm desperate T~T (sorry for my english ^^')
can you make the second part of this video about after you finished with Blender how do you bring back to unity without to create parameters , animations please?
Thank you for this. Very helpful. I was wondering what would happen if you have merged the bones, or joinned the maid outfit to the armature to the body instead of the maid to the body. Also, if there was a way around having to rename vertex groups in order to get the same result. I am just curious if perhaps there maybe a way around having to rename vertex groups based on how you merged or joined parts. -Thank you for your help
Glad you found the video helpful! I am not sure I understand what you mean with "join the maid outfit to the armature to the body instead of the maid to the body". Do you mean to join the two armatures together without removing any duplicate bones? Or to just parent the maid mesh to the body armature directly? Or parent the maid armature to the body armature? The way the vertex groups works, the names have to match the bone names so there is no way around it as far as I know. There are tools that can do this for you (most of the time) like CATS plugin. However in this video I wanted to avoid mentioning it because I want people to learn and hopefully understand the way it works instead of just do a click to fix.
The idea here is that you fuse two armatures together, changing bone names and sculpting the mesh to fit better. As long as they are similar enough it will work. The strategy can be used to add any item to the armature if you understand how the bones and vertex group relation works. Your question is a bit broad so I am not sure how to answer it but I hope this is good.
@nuekaze_media I think that's ok a response. I guess I meant if someone modeled cloths in blender as a general asset and not for a vroid specifically this method could be used to bind them. Added of course both have a skeleton.
I am not sure I understand. PNG is an image file. Do you want to import an image to Blender or add the image as a texture to your model? If you buy 3D assets on Booth you should get a FBX file or unitypackage file. If it is an unitypackage, it has to be imported to unity first and then the FBX should be in the project files.
@@nuekaze_media Omg thanks so much for a reply, it is a free vtuber clothes on booth but the whole zip just contains png 😭😭 thanks so much for your helping wish you all the best ❤️

i think you forgot to tell the binding for the cursor which allows the user to use the scroll wheel to change the size of it.
where did you get your character mesh
I get most things from Booth.
@@nuekaze_media can you send me a link for that character
are booth meshes allowed for commercial use
It depends on the license for the specific product.
