I received an Amazon Sunset and a #2 from ecuagenera awhile back. Both arrived with all dead leaves and the # 2 even had a stem rot. i wound up chopping every node on both. I now have 10 verrucosums. every single node sprouted a leaf first then a root. The amazon sunset was faster than #2. They really really hate shipping but their nodes are sooo resilient. You said it exactly when you said "they have a strong will to live".....
Verrucossum my favourite plant of all time. After 1 year of experiments I've got them thriving..not easy in the uk...thanks for this..lovely to see your passion and all their beautiful hybrids. 😊
Dave, great video!❤ I, too, love the Verrucosums and its' Hybrids. I have the Amazon Sunset; and Ecuagenera Vibes and the Corsinianum (the hybrids). My Corsinianum who I named Grand Dame aka Freckles is growing a new leave as well as my Vibes. Your Verrucosum Collection is beautiful! ❤ Love to hear you sing! 🎉❤ Drink looks delicious 😋 ❤ And I can't wait to see your Farm-To-Table Segments❤ Happy New Year! ❤🎉
I'm praying that you continue to get better! Loving that you're growing your food, & the "farm to table". After returning to L.A., I don't have the room to continue growing my food. I'll be waiting to see yours. 🙂
Plant friend!! Glad to see a video from you and love the singing intro 🥰. I heard verrucosm were problem child plants so i passed on it. Now i know from this video that my cabinet is perfect for this! My temp drops at night! Merry Christmas to u good lookom, and feel better soon
Thanks, I think they aren't as problematic as most Anthurium.. being that lots of Anthurium need that temp drop too. But I hope you try out a Verro for the cabinet. Thanks for tuning in.
Merry, Jolly, and Peaceful Holidays to you PW! Ah. . the Vercosum Ballad. That made me smile thinking about a little Nat King Cole mixed with some Brian McNight crooning. When you mentioned that the Vercosum species needs some cool temperatures in their environment especially at night, i saud to myself "PW is so dedicated". "He has dropped the temperature in his home so low, he is wearing his coat and hat inside for these plant divas." Ha! That's a Plant Whisperer for you. Then I realized.... oh he is going in and outside to show us his plants. But you're still the resident PW because you are moving on with teaching and showing us about crops for sustenance. Decorative and Practical enjoyment of the hobby. Hey look i caught how you just sauntered out in the yard and picked your own fresh tangerines for your beverage mix. By next summer I will look forward to the grape vines growing for your jellies, wines, and salad marinade. All seriousness, you are quite an inspiration with the way you accrue the knowledge and then combine it with your natural creativity to keep your audience eagerly coming back for more of your videos!
Merry Christmas 🎄 I love your informative content n the fun you add to it. Yes please share your garden to table content!!!! Also, that velvet voice 💪🏼💪🏼❤️ Again, Merry Christmas 🎄
I'll definitely take all your advice if I ever get another of those philodendrons whose name I can not spell 🥴 enjoyed the video and your lovely voice, Merry Christmas 🎄💚
My verrucosum in the corner watching me watch this video: 🙄 “Happy Ho-lidays if you ratchet”? Lol a mess.😂 Glad you didn’t edit that out. We like your humor.😅
My slendid is not doing anything. It looks like a Micans. I did put it on drift wood and got a few small leaves. She was a wishlist plant and nothing is happening. Any suggestions?
I'd probably try giving it a true moss pole to activate the arial roots at each node. If it's a seedling (starter plant), it takes a while to size up. Mine took over a yr. If you rather not wait, always buy a cutting with thicker stem, those grow much faster.
Give that man a singing Contract. You sound that good with a cold, what the beep you sound like without a cold, WOW!!
Your voice is beautiful.....thanks for the nice video
Great voice, plant knowledge what more could ya want 😉.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy successful 2024 ☺️💚

@@AroidDistrict lmao 🤣
Joyeux noël my friend from French West indies🎉
Hey! Thanks for watching.
Ooh, my house is always in the mid sixties to 70ish. This is good news for me. Plus I like the humidity at least 50 for my skin.
Yeah, I’m sure Verru’s would eventually grow like weeds in those conditions.
Wow this was so informative! I actually think I may have to give up on verrucosum after this bc there's no way I can give it what it needs! 😂
Lol...There's always the hybrids, that are much easier.
❤ ur hustle

@AroidDistrict it is a seedling, and it has almost been a year. That gives me hope. Thanks!
Best.

I understand, but there are enough easy hybrids that you won't miss them.
