good vid just what i needed as ive been looking to diag my phone, my symptoms are it will charge when turned off only, goes to 100% but i think it is draining also when switched off and definitely is draining quite fast whilst turned on.
it recognizes cables but says usb not supported and the charge sign only flashes for a second.

Great stuff, Lim. This is also how I confirm a Tristar/Hydra issue. And I am also really irritated when customers tell me "Tristar has to be changed". And even more when they say the charging IC has to be changed (they're thinking of Tristar, but the charging IC is Tigris).
I then reply to them: "I can do what you ask. But if I change it and your phone doesn't charge, will you still pay for the work?"
Customers are the same in every country😃

What is the max current during boot? I have an iphone 13 pro that starts at .1, jumps up to around .2 during apple logo, the jumps up and down to about .7, up and downto .8, up until my meter pegs out and my 1.5 A power supply cuts out. Any reply would help me know where to begin looking.

I should say must apply if you suspect this IC is the problem.
Even you use tester kit to test from the dock (I don’t want say the product name here), even that tester is not so accurate.
