Mike just understands what i always say about the gas vs electric, I just think offer both and just let the customer decide, it just doesn't feel the same when getting into a electric sport car and hearing nothing then stepping into a a gas sport car and hearing that roaring engine and hearing it rip through the gears at high speeds its just that a electric car cant replace that excitement and power as a normal gas vehicle also you can just feeling the power in a normal gas vehicle its just satisfying on its own

Eliminate CAFE and CARB tomorrow, and we'd see a golden age of horsepower, not voltage.

I think the niche is as an appliance; a simple, inexpensive, A to B vehicle that can commute and run errands with minimal maintenance. Make that and I might be in the market for an EV. But if I have to spend what it takes to get into even a Model 3, I'll take an ICE with good efficiency, power, 5 minute refueling stops and doesn't care how many times I bottom out the go pedal.

@B well not so sure on the 10 lengths , especially if it was mine in particular but sure it may be a touch faster due to the large amount of weight shedding they did ( 6210 lbs down to 5697lbs) and at the same time increased the HP.... but the shame it has brought on to the name was only rectified when the new power plant was announced . Surprisingly not a V6 but back to a V8 . Now it is very possible that Ford could have screwed around with the current V6 to generate the numbers the new V8 engine is slated to make but they didn't . And they didn't because they know it SOUNDS LIKE A PAIR OF DUCKS FUCKING . .

I’ve heard the eco boost v6 have issues with longevity - so maybe for truck applications there is a practical reason to go with a v8 thats not having to work so hard

Modern displacement on demand V8s aren’t lasting long either. They are actually worse than turbo V6s.
