The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
depending on how far the target is from satelites the missile goes a different direction, unfortunatley the missile tracks in relation to the satelites information, and not where the target actually is, meaning the missile has to start from the exact same spot or it dosent work
Now make a proper icbm with a nice silo launch sequence, and a changing target tracking system Also, is there a way to track the missile in relation to the satellites?
It might sound a bit boring, but make the satellites determine the distance between each other and the bomber. Then by using trigonometry and vectors, you can much more accuratly calculate a real time flight path. The idea is that the three satellites can triangulate the positions of the bomb and the target, then make the flight path of the bomb always follow the vector that forms from the bomb to the target. This is practicaly what was happening in the video, but without accounting for the angles the bomb just tries to go where the sensors are looking. Like i think the whole thing could be improved by making the satellites find the position of the bomb in respect to the target. Then the actual bomb steering could focus more on staying stable and only change directions to adjust for the direction vector. Is it possible tho
This could probably be improved by having it so that the outer sensors are angled out slightly, then it should work fine at any distance, and be more like an actual camera. Right now it would in theory if the target moved one meter to the right for instance, it might respond by turning 2 degrees, no matter the distance, which would be bad. It would be better if it was that it turned depending on how many degrees it moves, if that makes any sense.
to improve it prob need the missile to be tracked by other satellites so the missile knows we’re it’s at while the other satellites knows we’re it isn’t at yet knows it’s destination so you can do some crazy logic
This was such a delight to watch. Although, I think the end-product more resembled satellite-guided bombs than missiles. Tomato, Tomahto, as far as I'm concerned but I think you did miss the chance to design the craft more like a bomber lol (this reminds me that I should get back into besiege some time since I never actually completed it)
This is a somewhat different approach than the one I thought you were going to take. I thought this would be a radar missile, where a rotating array of differently angled sensors detects an object at a certain distance and another does the same, making it so you can triangulate its position in space. If you start the rocket at a known position, its "simply" a matter of doing some algebra with logic gates to do trahjectory calculations and then have the missile carry these out on a deviation-from-target sort of feedback loop. Were I as knowledgeable regarding besige creations as you thats how I would do it
depending on how far the target is from satelites the missile goes a different direction, unfortunatley the missile tracks in relation to the satelites information, and not where the target actually is, meaning the missile has to start from the exact same spot or it dosent work

Now, you just need to make one that uses multiple satellites and triangulation to do it in vanilla! The sensors point at the target, and the angle of multiple sensors gives you the location, without knowing how far it is! After all, there is only one spot that puts this sensor at 325 degrees, and this one at 122, and the last one at 12!
I love the tracking system! Makes me think of a sentry gun, like in TF2 or Portal. That could be something interesting to make, perhaps? A sentry that aims + shoots at anything that gets too close?

have to make the fan on the tails of the bombs push away from target, but also have to add few wings to missiles so when they angle at the target they glide there you don't have any aero, so not much glide authority. prob need center of lift slightly behind center of mass of each missile, and should make them glide to target. just idea, not sure if it would work tho.
