I called my grandpa 👴 the other day while doing dishes instead of listening to a UA-cam video. I made his day. It felt really good.
Youre lucky to have grandparents. Both sides, they died b4 I knew them. One was dangerous, so kept away from by my mother. My mom is a great protector❤
That inspires me. Because I got trapped in that same habit...
It's so awesome you called your Grandpa. I bet you made his day too. It's important to let your friends & family know you love them. Our time, whether it's a call, a letter, text, a meal, or a visit can mean more than you'll ever know. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Stuff is not important. People are... God bless everyone.
Last weekend I intentionally went shopping because I needed a new pair of black flats for work and two more summer tops. Guess what I came home with? Those three things! Yay me! ☺️ I love minimalism!
Fantastic!! Good for you!
Sometimes that can be hard!
That's awesome Erica, way to go!!!!
@@Nan-59 really! Especially when stores are coming out with new spring items.
That's good!
When my daughters were children, at the beginning of each season we’d go through drawers and wardrobes, getting rid of anything they’d outgrown or didn’t like any more. Then we’d go shopping with a clear idea of how many tops, shorts, skirts etc were needed in their current size. I distinctly remember going with my youngest, around 6yo at the time, looking for 2 pairs of slacks/pants, and 4 tops. In the first shop we found 4 tops but no pants that she liked, so we took the tops and went to another shop looking for pants. In the second shop I saw some absolutely gorgeous tops, but Miss Six said “Mum, focus, we already have tops. We’re looking for pants.” Me: but they look really nice. Her: yeah, but we have 4 tops and I don’t need any more.
She continued with that mindset too. For her 13th birthday I asked if she wanted a new mobile (cell phone for USA readers lol), because the one she had was a hand-me-down from her grandmother. She looked at me genuinely puzzled. “Why would I need a new phone when this one still works?”
I’m trying to achieve that mindset but I haven’t yet reached that higher plane of existence LOL
We’ve recently become minimalists, and I keep finding myself sitting on the floor playing with my kids during the day. In the past I would’ve been too overwhelmed by house clutter to play with them 😊
Awesome!
I'm so happy for your kids!!! And YOU!
Wow! That’s amazing and impressive! Way to go 😄
Love this! This is my reason. We have been on this journey for about 4 years since we moved. This channel has helped me further the minimalism. I spend a lot of time with my kiddo, but I want more meaningful time where I don’t feel stress from all the to do’s I need to get done.
This is so cool! Way to go!!!
Due to Lockdown in the UK my mum and I decided instead of going without for Lent we would use the 40 days to take up a new positive habit - just an idea I thought maybe others may find helpful.
such a lovely idea! I am too in the UK and decluttering is a focus, but also taking up more positive things.
That’s awesome!
Love that idea!
I added something for Lent too, rather than took something out.
Declutter for Lent and give up (let go) things from your home that you can live without, and be thankful for what we have 🙂
What helped me in the beginning of my minimalist journey was to make a list in my phone of the items that I need (and I mean actually need or need to replace 😊). If I felt the urge to go shopping I would go buy something on my list. Usually the pieces weren't as fun to buy (like shower curtain rings or socks) but it did help to curb the shopping when bored habit.
I love this!! Thank you for sharing!!
Great idea!
Doing the list does help me too.
I do that too. It's also what I buy for souvenirs if I go somewhere lol. Like I needed little bowls so I got them on vacation.
I totally rely on my shopping list for everything. I have a shopping list app that remembers all the stuff I've bought (I can delete anything I don't want to see again). I don't have to go through the whole store anymore to jog my memory. I used to write lists but I'd forget the list at home. And my recipes are in Evernote so I can copy ingredients to my shopping app, if I can't remember them. I have a wish list section in my app, and a gift section. Or I might just type "Mom - orchid" in the list a leave it in the main grocery section so I keep seeing it. Anyway having the lists keeps me from having to browse so much and that saves me money and space. It's also easy to add dimensions or sizes in the comments.
Also for groceries, etc., I realized it's easiest to just check off repeating items and leave them checked off at the bottom of the list after I shop. Then next time I'm going to the store I can just glance at the checked off items to make sure I'm not forgetting any staples like Kleenex, lemons, coffee, etc., and then uncheck whatever I need more of. Most of my recipe ingredients are checked off at the bottom, too, so I can just uncheck all the ingredients for spaghetti or hummus or whatever I want to make.
@@no_peace what app do you use?
Ironically, UA-cam is one of my biggest distractions! LOL. I have started to limit my YT use because it really was distracting me from other activities. Thank you for these Sunday videos!
You’re right about UA-cam becoming a big distraction! I need to limit myself to a certain period of time every day. 😏
Haha same but I have limited who I choose to watch & listen to for inspiration. As soon as I noticed I’ve put it on for noise I turn it off ❤️
I have decided to cut it to ten videos a day. Unless is during my break or i just have it on while I am folding laundry or cooking
Ugh, sadly I’m the same so thanks for admitting this! I just get click happy at night 🥴. Ok now I’m called out so it’s time to fix this!! 💪🏼
I was getting sucked into the endless UA-cam void, so i subscribed to my favorites and only watch them when I'm doing housework so I'm being productive and getting encouraged, inspired or motivated!
"Luckily we have a long driveway..." Bahaha! I can SO relate! That was me for 10+ years. Quick, so-and-so just pulled into the driveway... shove the laundry in the closet, put thos paper stacks on my bed, don't let anybody use that bathroom!! But now that we're friends with you guys, I got this! Minimalism has saved our family in so many ways! ❤ Oh, so-and-so" is here? Aww, what a nice surprise! Invite them in! 😄
I almost bought two things online this weekend - both from ads. I stopped myself and talked myself out of these purchases. I don’t need more stuff!
Me too! I actually did not need these things.. !
Me too! But I was able to flex my 'adore from afar' muscle.
Yep. Once we realize that EVERYTHING we go to ANY store to get is set up to separate us from our hard-earned money, we can resist the impulse purchases.
Congrats!,I am trying to do the same.
Well done guys! Not easy to break a habit! Keep at it!
I started minimalizing by any time i took one item in, 5 HAD to go. If i couldnt remove 5 things, i didnt need the new item. It then created a habit of downsizing and removing items. Eventually i stopped shopping pretty much all together. This is working for me.
And thank you for sharing the Faith! He is wonderful! Nature is therapeutic
I like the idea of having to give away 5 items if I buy 1 item. Thanks for sharing!
God is good indeed! Thanks for sharing your story!
I’m doing this now.
Instead of removing something during Lent...I felt impressed to mindfully pray for a precious young lady each day.
Great idea!
Great idea!
Love this! Praying for someone = unconditional love
Pray for me please!
I like that idea
Until recently, I had apparently never watched videos of you together in front of my husband and daughter. So over the last few weeks, they've both realized you have your twin sister Diana and now the running joke on Sunday is: "Oh, she's talking to herself again." :) Love these chats.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳😂🥳🥳🥳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😎✌🏻
That's really funny! Someone said the other day that having a twin isn't minimalist ;)
hahaha
Hehehe
Here in the UK awe are allowed to have a worship service on Easter Day, our church has chosen to meet outside so that we can sing together, I have really missed singing in a group!
from the UK too. That’s beautiful. I wish my church would do that.
Yes!
"we are allowed".... does that mean you're "not allowed" to have church service on other Sundays?
@@ludwigvonmiseswasright4380 nationally we are allowed to have acts of worship providing we keep socially distanced and no singing indoors, our diocese has been ultra cautious (which I think is good and the pandemic was very scary and the hospitals so overflowing) so all our services have been online through the winter.
In our building we are only able to seat 29 people 2m apart and on Easter Day that would mean turning people away and no singing and as soon as the service finishes we must leave and maintain 2m as we disperse. We decided that we couldn’t cope with the idea of turning people away so the decision was made to hold the service outside which is lower risk, we still keep 2m apart from one household to the other but we will be able to sing together as a congregation. We also have a small singing group and we will be rehearsing outside and on Easter Sunday will sing together but keeping our distance.
Sadly the instructions to churches has been clarified and it looks as though congregational singing is off the cards, even outside. amateur singers are not allowed to rehearse only to sing in a group of 3 “if it is vital to the worship” I was so looking forward to the joy of Easter expressed in word and song by the whole congregation.
Hi UK here. On the subject of buying new clothes do you find in the US that these days the quality of fabrics are very poor even in our half decent stores. So shopping in thrift stores I find much better quality - jackets, coats, dresses and jeans for a fraction of the price and I am re-using clothes that have been donated while looking much more expensive
YES. I walk around Target occasionally now and just feel so sad that even a super cute top really isn't worth it for me anymore. I even lost faith in Nordstrom ever since I bought a few items on sale a few years back for $50-80 that turned out to be so cheap! It's all prompted me to learn to sew my own clothes. It'll take time, but I'm excited!
@@Jessica_Jones good luck making your own clothes. I used to make mine years ago and they turned out beautifully. Tailor made clothes for a fraction of the price and so much nicer than store bought clothes.
The really disappointing thing for me is that I can't really spend 20% more for 20% better clothes. It's either disposable or prohibitively expensive. I mean, I'd pay twice as much. But there's no market for that in the clothes I can find that fit me
You are correct retail therapy has no pull on me these days, the idea of one more thing to manage makes me cringe, any purchase I make takes me time to think about it, research it plan it long before I purchase it. The up side to it is when I do purchase something it is something I don’t regret.
Hey ladies, sorry this is not the most "happy upbeat" comment but walking around stores is the way that I entertain (distract) myself. Well my TWINS are grown I have no friends, I'm not married and to be brutally honest family is NOT always easy to be around when a lot of negativity surrounds it. So I've created my own bubble and I stay in it. It's the only way I know how to "PROTECT MYSELF" fyi when I 1st started watching you and heard you were from Minnesota honestly my 1st thought was Mall of America lol.
Hi, I can relate. I have created a bubble for myself too. Husband works long hours and friendships have never been easy. But shopping is an empty experience now, UA-cam is my escape and my 4 year plan of decluttering.
🥰
🤣 hugs!
I wish you all the best! No one is perfect and everyone who is struggling with some uncomfortable feeling looks for a way to feel better. when the time is right, i´m sure you´ll find your way to something more fulfilling/lasting that feels safe and good too!
This is one of the best parts of my Sunday’s!
I started my minimalist journey by reducing what I bought. One way I did this was to only purchase items that were on sale. This worked for a period of time and then I realized that a number of places gave a false retail (original) price and the sale price was actually the original cost. For example, buying a coat that “they say” was $60 but was now on sale door $45 but the original cost of the coat was $45 to begin with. Thankfully I am far enough in my minimalist journey to change my mindset to “Need vs. Want” and no longer use the price of an item to determine if I will purchase it or not.
Yes, I never pay full price for things I need, if I just wait another week or two a "sale" will come on. Every time.
Perfect example, I needed a new iron, my dream iron was way overpriced, $199nz, so I waited a couple of weeks and scored it for $99nz! I am woke lol 😆
I've got a rule for me. 1 in 1 out. I do like variety and can keep a minimalist wardrobe by using this rule. Since I am an emotional keeper and a "but what if I need it," type of person. Now I just refer to the object that is leaving as a piece of item that I liked, made me happy and fulfilled it's purpose with me and it's time to give that same feeling to another person. And with gratitude welcome the new (new to me) item.
When I was young I would go window shopping with my mum, we loved it just looking around at things either clothes or home goods. We would go to the more expensive shops and look at the item and price tag then put it down carefully and whisper how much the item was and were usually shocked. The reason why my mum didn't end up with a house full of stuff, she never brought her cash or cards.
I look at those shops like they are museums or galleries.
My friend and I found ourselves in a store like that when we were in high school or maybe just into college. I saw a top for $150 and "casually" told her about it then said, "Let's pretend to be interested in a few more things and then browse our way out." 😆😂
When I return things, I intentionally don't bring any money in at all. Most stores don't even need to run a credit card for the return. That way I can't buy anything. One time my daughter picked out a $3 flamingo soap dispenser at Kohl's but we were doing a return. So I went back and got it for her a week later as a reward. She still tells people that I didn't have enough money for it, so we had to save and get it later. Which makes me laugh hysterically for a $3 item.
Have been there where I actually couldn't afford that.
I love window shopping. I've done it my whole life. It's so much fun. I gain ideas and concepts for design that way. I'm a cheapskate and spending money hurts. So I gather ideas while having fun and the do a similar design with DIYs which is also fun.
You're not a "Cheapskate", you are a wise woman managing your money!
I really do enjoy going to stores like target and walking around. But years ago I started making myself walk around a while longer after I think I'm done. Then I am forced to think on the random stuff I picked up and I realize what I after need or truely want and then I'll put back everything else after I've had the time thinking on it.
You're the first comment that I can relate to,
in that I enjoy walking around stores!
It relaxes me!!
I actually do what you do!
If I have something in the cart, I continue walk around and I really think about if I need the item, or if I don't!
Enjoy your week!
@@Nan-59 me too 😂
I do this too! I had a really bad shopping addiction and slowly being able to just resist stores unless its necessary.
I wanted to comment that my work clothes are all black and it makes it so easy to dress each week . I don't have to spend any time in the morning getting ready. I change up the look with jackets, sweaters, jewelry. So much easier and less stressful.
I am 4'10"!
I have to try on anything I buy!
And yes----- every lb. shows up!
But wait, you girls are young, which I was also 70 ago. So enjoy yourself as you are! I love being short, it makes me feel like I've been a kid all my life ❣🥰
I read title and thought of my three things:
1) Get away from gatherer/collector mindset
2) Collect experiences not things
3) Be content
Edit: I received a gift and WAS so touched, really! I got home and put it straight into donate pile. It's like you say, it gets easier to use those muscles. We don't have to keep the thing.
I'm prepping for Passover, talk about imagery of the Messiah Lamb! ♡

@@Nan-59 Thanks! I've seen several of her videos before - It's also important that we do study the Bible for ourselves so we can be discerning. :)
@@CL-mn1yq Ohh, yes! You're absolutely right!!
Blessed Pesach! 🤗❤️
I love your minimalist experiences but switch off the religious chat. It really puts me off. Sorry but I don't feel it.
I find such joy in your Sunday video! Thank you always for being our "refresh"
I needed you two today! Needed that Bible passage too! Hugs to you and your families!
I'm so use to your Sunday video being posted by the time I wake up that I was so confused when I got up. Didn't notice how much I expect to see you gals on Sundays. Love this one btw.
Thank you for sharing TRUTH 👏🙌🏼🙌🏼👏🙌🏼
I asked a friend of mine once why I dislike shopping so much. Barb told me there are two different type of people (gender has little to do with it): shoppers and hunters. Shoppers will make impulse buys only to return the item(s). Hunters look only for specific items and almost never make impulse buys. She asked me how often I returned items I had purchased. "Never," I replied. She suggested that I walked through a store wearing blinders, looking only at specific items. She was perfectly right.
Recognizing that, I am finding it much easier to get rid of things. My husband and I are working our way to minimalism.
Thank you! I help people declutter and I love it, but my own house has needed "fresh eyes."
Thank you for giving me that push. My spaces feel more peaceful. I am going to host a weekly women's Bible Study in my newly decluttered dining room!
Dawn and Diane, just wanted to tell you that I prayed for "minimalist wisdom" during New Years seeking a resolution for the year. I was impressed with the thought, "Give yourself permission to start over," that is, begin your life again with minimizing! So as I have applied your wonderful wisdom regarding minimalism. I think, "You can begin again. Start fresh. Start new. Reorder your life". It has helped me with shopping, discarding and setting my priorities. Thank you so much; you have encouraged me to journey in the best direction this year!
Helpful tip I've decided on recently: When it comes to clothes, I learned how to find the marks of high quality (stitching, material, brand names..). I try to find as high a quality of clothes as cheap as I can thrifted because I'm in that little baby momma stage, bending down, rolling around on the floor, playing in dirt... I like to feel put together; so sweatpants everyday won't wrk for me even being at home. It feels wiser to have gap or banana republic clothes but for 5 bucks, knowing they DO look nice but could get ruined somehow. I'm waiting to buy new or top quality that lasts at a different phase of life.
Be happy to have each other! I have lost my little brother many year ago and my mother resently, so I love to see you and your familys together, hugs❤️jannike from sweden🇸🇪
When I'm shopping I use one of your great tips: where and how will I use each item? If I can't answer the question I walk away. It's hard at times but I also remember if I'm at a thrift store I just donated 5-500 items. It brings relief and healing from the shackles of consumerism and comparison. Have a blessed week, Dawn and Diana!!
Thank you for your encouragement. We are going thru a tough time trying to figure out what is wrong with my husband and how we can stop his terrible pain. We love watching your positivity. Really helped us this morning.
Praying for y’all.
Prayers 🙏💜🙏
Prayers to you Jane. May God lead you to the source of your husband pain. May He find a way to alleviate that pain. Amen. And Jane, I just went through something myself. If I hadn’t had a diverticulitis attack in December, I wouldn’t have had a CAT scan that led to the discovery of a large Mass in my cervix. It’s now been Just 3 weeks since I had a full hysterectomy. .. I know that God will lead you to the source of the pain. Just keep praying. It will happen. ❤️Leslie

Thank you for the refreshing message this beautiful spring morning! ☀️
"How many apps in your phone have replaced relationships" 🙄 so sad and true!
I went into target recently for a trip of needs and ended up only spending $85!! Before minimalist I easily would have spent $200-300! Thank you Dawn so much for your course!👍
I find I don’t miss much with most videos by simply listening and NOT watching many of the videos I play. Makes a great backdrop for doing mundane, repetitive tasks.
#3 has been one of my greatest motivators recently. I couldn’t stand how it felt like such a production to have a friend come by and visit. We finally got into a house that we could entertain in and I was letting my mess and stuff prevent me from feeling like I could invite people over without doing a massive cleaning first. It’s been freeing!!
Diana! My little boys and I play worship and have a dance party at least once a week. It's so much fun, releases so much stress and always ends in praise! I loved hearing that you do that with your little too!
I ❤ your explanation about how much Minnesotans appreciate spring after our bitter winter. It's so true!
Again you girls have simplified things and broken it down in a step by step thought process. Thank you.
You guys are amazing. Please never stop speaking of the Word of God!!! Love you two! 😊

I enjoy you both so much. I appreciate and value your readings, encouragement with pairing down. When I am down I just listen to you all and feel better. Struggling with cancer the last year has taken its toll and I just want to say thank you for your positivity and prayers.
Dawn, we have fostered for almost five years now. Newborn-14 years. We started out with 3 children and thought we had “enough” why are we doing this. The need was soooo great our number of kids is now 5 plus one. We did a complete remodel of a home for our farm house during this time.
This is so cool to hear!
Goodmorning, I was waiting for your video today :) I started to worry when it was not there earlier. I have been reading the book, Get your life back with a study group and enjoying it. I also have decided to take 3 days per week to be utube, social media free. Other days I will limit my time to a couple hours. I am retired so have some extra time but I am always busy and have so many other more fun, creative and meaningful activities to do :) I love your videos and will continue to watch them. Not to long either so don't take too much time to watch. I am enjoying minimizing all my things and I am getting there. I have already decluttered probably 85 percent of my things. Take care
Good efforts. I need to do the same.
One thing that motivated me over the years to get rid of things was moving about every 7 years! However, we built a home where we have now lived 22 years so it’s been too easy to just fill up the available space! Now we are in our 70s and our last kid finally moved out less than a year ago. My new motivation is to pass on or dispose of my stuff so I don’t need to do it when I’m any older and might not be able to! My husband was shocked when I just sold some fabric this week. I do intend to do more sewing, but As most quilters do, I have more in my stash than I’ll ever get used! Again, Thanks for the great devotional thoughts!
I'm not in my 70's, but my daughter is 9 years old now, and I must remind myself that I cannot simply "do it tomorrow, or do it next year" There is a time limit. She will be grown and moved out soon. I also have kept more projects that I could possibly have time for. I am trying to be honest with myself about my limited time and limited energy. Are these projects really my priority today? This week? this year? I spent my 20's accumulating things I intended to get around to. It's too easy to lie to ourselves when we are young that there will be time. There isn't ever time for things that are not important.
Thank you for inspiring us every Sunday and our Easter blessing this morning 🙏🏼💐💕
People are more important than things! Get outside to enjoy the beauty God provides with the awakening of spring! Thank you for the Good encouragement to prepare us for Easter celebrations. 😊✝️🌷

I remember my mother’s & grandmother’s houses were so minimalist! I was born in 1951. The 50’s & 60’s that I was raised in were doing uncluttered!
And most of that is because there was much less $$ to be spent!
Suddenly in the 70’s We had more $$ and acquisition of stuff went crazy!
“Shopping therapy isn’t helpful anymore” THAT’S exactly how I’ve been feeling this year. I didn’t really recognize it at first and felt off when I found myself in a store or browsing online. Everything just lacked that same feeling I used to get when I would shop til I dropped! I did sense if I didn’t need it or absolutely loved it, it wasn’t really fun anymore. Thank you for pointing that out. It just reaffirms my decluttering/minimalist journey is headed in the right direction. I guess you can say that I’m all shopped out 😂
Omgoodness! Even showing the clips of those stores with cute dishes and house wears gets me!! Lol. That is why I don’t go to Homegoods any more! It’s too much of a temptation! I can always find something I “need” or that is “so cute” or “such a great price”!! I have really cleared out my house and I do NOT want to go backwards!! Now I need to work on my Amazon temptations;) Lol Great video ladies💕
You can control your feelings, desires and impulses, it is doable. Just DON'T do it. Asking Jesus to get you through your walk in the store without impulse buying something will work when you feel weak.
Yay!! Have been waiting for this!! Happy Sunday!!
Good morning!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts this morning. I’m going to go outside!! Hugs from the mountainside North Carolina. Try camping at Stone Mountain State Park in NC.
Oh my goodness! You are both so kind and gentle...refreshing! And the prayer at the end...LOVED IT! THANK YOU!
Sleeping in the woods in safety sounds splendid! I love hearing birds! I love sunshine and being outside. Several videos I've made have birds singing or sunsets in the background on my channel. Love this video - as always - with Dawn and Diana. These Sunday morning videos are inspirational and refresh me!
I am so thankful for finding your channel. I am just beginning my decluttering. For years I've been so overwhelmed and wondered why I wasn't good enough. Thanks to you I now see it wasn't me it was the amount of stuff I had to manage. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
Janelle Uptegraw how is it going? X
Today was the 4th time in 10 days I have loaded bags full and many items in my car and dropped off to donate. I also filled a 2nd bag of my previous handmade business items I used to sell (wood item's) and have sent them to be burned at my friends farm for heating their shop. I haven't kept count, but I'd say almost 1,000 items have left my space. Mind you, allot is hundreds of the same little or small size things, and though I still have a long way to go... I feel SOOO much better! Even though I suffer allot of physical pain decluttering being a disabled Veteran, I am SO motivated to keep getting rid of inventory from every area.
The best part of Dawn doing videos is she is not to hard on herself, an example for those who are in transition.
When I watch other UA-camrs, their videos are too long, when I watch yours - it takes too short. Thank you for the wind in our backs that you give us with your calmness and beautiful, encouraging words.
I love this advise. I guess I’m naturally and clothing minimalist because I am SO picky about what I buy to put on my body and will wait and look and wait and look over and over again before I convince myself that yes it’s good and I will wear it until it has to be retired. I’m to the point that some of my go to tops are getting tiny holes or have pulled past the point of depilling, so I’ve been VERY slowly getting new tops to replace the ones that I’ve been getting rid of. My biggest issue is kids toys and shoes for my family.(we have way too much of both)
That (slow acquisition) is a terrific mindset. I have been working on slowing down acquiring things. Thanks, now I know it can be done!
Yes! Retail stores have so many marketing tools to literally make us want to purchase more. Like when they ask you if you want a cart/basket then that’s a way to get us to purchase more because we aren’t actually holding the items in our hands and aware of all of the things we are bringing to the check out. Now I always turn down the cart/basket because if I only went in for one or two things, I know I can manage carrying that in my hands ☺️
Love the "preparing ourselves for Easter" message. Y'all are gems. So grateful and thankful for your work in this world. 🕊💕
I'm so excited! I finally caught the post within the hour 😁 I look forward to Sundays with you two.
So funny. I am 5'2" and just ordered a new spring coat with a belt and am waiting for it to arrive. Might be returning it. :)
I just remove the belt, tie it in back or let it hang.
Always a good start to the week , spending time with you girls ! Thanks for the heartfelt message to help guide us as we go through the days ! 🙏🏼❤️
Popped in to Michaels after church last Sunday. They had so much fun decor I would have loved. Almost got some fake greenery but hubby reminded me I had gotten some about 2 weeks ago. Yes...yes I did. Back went the greenery.
I went in for drawing pens. Drawing pens is what I bought.
Thank you for your Sunday mornings posts. Love you two ladies! 🤗
Love seeing your faces on Sunday mornings. It’s a beautiful thing to start the week with your encouragement and helpful tips/advice to simplify our lives.💕
Wow! The perspective that I’m using the mess in my house as the excuse not to have people in - which I know that- but to turn it to mean I’m missing out on building relationships- that’s eye opening. I’m often overwhelmed and embarrassed by the mess. I go for maybe a week keeping up and then life and weariness take over and BOOM: Mess. My house is always cleanest when company is coming. I need help keeping it up all the time. This is when I wish I had just a little OCD! Still working on the clearing out and downsizing the stuff! You keep me motivated!
I haven't been into a store in over a year. I have been using Misfits Market and Thrive Market delivery.
I just recently placed and received my 1st order from Butcher Block. I'm disabled and taking care of my disabled mom. We both have diabetes and are at high risk . For the things that can't be delivered (no delivery in our small town from grocery stores) I order pickup from Walmart. Usually a neighbor/friend can pick it up for me but since it's been nice out she's been coming to sit with mom while I go out for about a 1/2 an hour... which is greatly appreciated. I do buy from Amazon but have been trying to minimalize and have no desire to buy a lot of impulse items anymore. That's just the way that I handle it all. Thank you for the wonderful message today. God bless 🙏💜🙏.
I knew if I watched enough of your videos I would get it! Now I do! Thank you so much - I am moving and you guys have made it so much easier to let go. I feel so freed from my stuff. I will continue packing the things I truly love - the rest will go. Thank you Thank you Thank you for making these videos!
I just wanted to say thank you to you all for this wonderful channel! I just finished watching all the videos over the last couple of months and I feel so changed inside and out from the lessons you all teach and I feel so happy to be on this minimal journey. You all are amazing and now I look forward to the new videos to come! God bless you all! :)
Lovely to see you both today! and thank you so much for your great advice!
I've been taking your advice for such a time now, and you've never steered me wrong! Thank you :) xx
Thank you for encouragement and refreshment, ladies.
I knew which one you are, Dawn. We are shrinking more of our stuff thanks to you. My husband asked me what was in the trash. I said it's something we don't use anymore. You need to get used to stuff disappearing from our house. He said okay. But what was that. I said they're parts that go to something we don't have anymore.
I'm listening to John Eldrigde's book at the moment. Thank you for recommending it, i'm loving it! Literally just listening to the chapter about being outside this afternoon on my walk to the beach.
I absolutely love your Sunday chat videos. Thanks to both of you for sharing.
I just love these videos! I find them so relaxing and helpful too - what a great combo!! Thank you! ☺️☺️☺️
You two ladies refresh my soul! Thank you.
Working from home since the pandemic, and is hard to balance home and work...Working today(shouldn't be, but need to finish a work that is due tomorrow at noon). Listen to this was a blessing, thank you
I love your channel! I just stumbled upon it this month and I am hooked! Both my husband and I just started our minimalism journey and you've actually helped him to understand I am not just getting rid of everything for the sake of being minimalists.
Happy Sunday!!
Ladies - thank you soooooooooo much for your willingness to share. I love your videos and watch Dawn whenever I can. I am learning so much !!
